Already voted among one of Atlanta's best new restaurants, Tuk Tuk Thai Food Loft brings new flavors and creations of Thai Cuisine to Atlanta. Offering a variety of small plates done in a tapas style, as well as larger entrees that showcase gourmet Thai Street Food.
Chef Dee Dee Niyomkul, daughter of Charlie & Nan Niyomkul, (Creators of Nan's Thai & Tamarind Seed) calls upon original recipes used by her mother and grandmother, an original street food vendor in Bangkok, to enchant local diners. Bringing these unique flavors and spices to the table in a real gourmet fashion. The Tuk Tuk, a local taxi-like service takes you through many of the signature dishes one would expect to see, smell in taste in Bangkok!
The elevated skyline views, seen from the patio are some of the best in the city!
"Food was delicious with a variety of vegetarian options. We brought a baby with us and it was no problem at all. Service was fast and really friendly. It was my third time there and I can only recommend it."

"Quality of food and service were significantly lacking. The server even charged me twice for two separate amounts and when I called the next day to have the issue resolved the person that answered the phone ("Ingrid") had the worst attitude, interrupted me constantly, and refused to allow me to speak to the manager until I called back again insisting I needed to speak with him. The issue was inevitably resolved, but this just added to the negative dining experience (on Mother's Day no less). I was embarrassed to have recommended this restaurant to my mother on what was supposed to be her special day. I do not have plans to patronize this establishment in the future."

"Tuk Tuk provided you with different Thai dining experience that you may want to try. Our family loves Thai food and tries so many Thai restaurants in Atlanta. Curries are not only Thai dishes that most of Thai restaurants try to sell or emphasis. Thai food offers varieties and cultural experience. Tuk Tuk displayes and choose their menu list well. Thai desserts are some thing that are not the same as American style desserts; however, they have a lot to offer as far as sweetness is concerned. Try tapioca pudding. It's delicious. It's no doubt for us to go back again and again for next eat-out dining."

"Fabulous night. We sat out on the veranda/deck, cool breeze, awesome food and drink. Service was impeccable. We tried all their tappas-style dishes and they were all excellent, except for the mussel omelet, which was boring. Other than that, however, each taste was fantastic. 5-star all the way."

"Consistently great food -- including some Thai specialties that you cannot find at other Atlanta Thai restaurants -- and great service. A real reasonably priced gem!"

"My wife chose to dine at Tuk Tuk for her 34th birthday. She is a huge lover of Nan, so she figured this would be an excellent choice. She was right. Tuk Tuk is da bomb and then some. The food is excellent! The atmosphere is very spacious and open. This is a great location to bring a large group. I had a wonderful steak skewer appetizer which is a staple piece at this restaurant. The presentation of this particular appetizer was eye catching. Everyone enjoyed their food. We will definitely return."

"The flavor and preparation of the food was great. The Lychee martinis were refreshing and enjoyable and carried a premium price. The only draw back to our dining experience was the restaurant appeared to be understaffed in servers. Our server was wonderful but her attention and service was spread very thin because she was covering too many tables. We will stop here again when visiting ATL."

"Tuk Tuk obviously appeals to the American palate. They use quite a bit of sugar in their dishes. Generally, Thai food does not have a sugary taste. My Pad Thai was sweet. I have never had sugary pad Thai before and was not a big fan of it.The service and atmosphere was nice. But, I will not return."

"I ordered all**spicy foods but everything came BLAND! Waitress had to be told tree times to bring my martini on the rocks, and told twice to bring me a knife. Fish was tasteless. Would never go back. $72 wasted!!"

"The food was really delicious. We had four small plates: samosas, beef jerkey, beef skewers and the spinach leaves. The serving pieces are part of the experience. Our server was also helpful with food preferences (it was Passover so we were avoiding anything breaded, as well as pork and shellfish). Would love to go back."

"The price of their dishes when matched up with the quality and taste of the food is a bit diconnected. Felt like we were paying for more than what we received, which was an unmemorable curry and greasy noodle dish...Wouldn't recommend spending your money here when there are much better, and cheaper, Thai restaurants to be found in Atlanta."

"Only complaint is the speed of service. Took a long time to get our small plates - and then a long time between finishing the small plates and the arrival of our entrees."

"Our group of four liked the food very well overall. One person did not, but I would still say go. The service was a bit slow and confusing however. Several people came to the table, one of them who came by to take our drink order after another woman had already done so. That was the only criticism. I think the layout and food are good. It's a bit loud for a quiet dinner, however."

"Overpriced for the quality. I had the 'wild' salmon panang curry, curry was excellent but the salmon was definitely the same farm raised salmon you find at most groceries, was over cooked, and $21. There were 5 of us, no one at the table was wowed by their meal. Service was also slow. Overall not impressed but wouldn't necessarily avoid the place, it just does not live up to the hype."

"What a pleasant surprise. We were looking for a place to gather for a family meal before boarding the nearby Amtrak train. There were a few Thai places around but this one had some good reviews so we checked it out. The reviews were right on! This place is top notch. I had perhaps the best pad thai dish I had ever eaten. Can't say enough about this place. I want to go back the next time I am in town."

"It was our second time at the Tuk Tuk, and it didn’t disappoint! We choose the Tuk-Tuk for the dinner before a concert at the Atlanta Symphony. We had a group of 6 people and only an hour in-and-out. Welcoming casual atmosphere, service was pleasant and quick; food was delicious, reasonable prices. Will return again and surly recommend this restaurant to friends."

"Love the restaurant, Love DeeDee & her vision of what her parents have done so well....
only comment would be w/the fried shrimp, fried calimari....very inconsistent as to type of "dusting/breading" on these items-- one meal they are WONDERFUL light tempura quality & the next, a heavier, thicker not-great coating.
LIGHT, AIRY, SHEER coatings only please!!"

"The food is entertaining and tasty, the room is noisy, the servers are energetic and friendly. Our party of four confined ourselves to the small plates, trying most of them, and found that the presentations are pleasing to the eye, and the palate. The portions are modest size and were delivered timely."

"Tuk Tuk was the perfect spot to bring a guest in from out of town. Perfectly seated for the midtown skyline view, we were delighted by the ambiance, food, and service. My gluten-free needs were specifically accommodated, and we enjoyed every bit of our respective appetizers and curry dishes. The green curry especially featured a glorious combination of spices, and I was thrilled that they could substitute any protein with tofu.
This place is a MUST-VISIT in Atlanta! HUZZAH!"
