Situated in the hub of Queen Anne, the Mercer St. location provides a casually elegant, intimate atmosphere. The relaxing 4 course experience begins with cheese fondue prepared tableside. Fresh salad follows while your entrée pot heats up. You’ll simmer a variety of tantalizing meats, seafood, & vegetables. Each morsel is hot, fresh, & flavorful. "Every time that I have been to the Melting Pot, there are always some great constants. The food is always delicious and surprisingly filling, while the service is exactly how one would want it. Not too suffocating but there if anything is needed. The only complaint that I have is that there were table bussers constantly checking on us as if to see if we were done with our food. Overall, I always have a very enjoyable night at the Melting Pot."

"We went to the Melting Pot for a date night on a recommendation from friends. It was everything I had expected and more. The table for two we had was intimate, and the service was great. We had the full 4 course meal (cheese fondue, salad, entrée fondue and desert). The cheese course could have been a meal in itself, and our server was very entertaining while he was creating the dish at the table. The portions for the entrée's were the perfect size and the sauces for dipping were well paired with the different proteins and vegetables. Deciding to have the desert course was the best decision of the night. We had the yin and yang (white and dark chocolate fondue). The flavor was amazing, and the items for dipping were perfect!"

"The Melting Pot has revamped their menu and it makes it easier for individuals to order different things from the menu (it includes both a la carte and a 4-course menu). We go for the cheese fondue and it's always really good. I noticed they are providing a larger amount of dipping items now than in the past (we used to run out of bread routinely). Of course, the chocolate fondue for dessert is great, no matter which variation you choose!"

"I wish we would have gone to the melting pot in Bellevue. This was not an experience. It was more of an expensive meal with no atmosphere. Our service was sooo drawn out. Too much time between courses and slow, unpersonable service. Would not recommend the Seattle melting pot to anyone. The restaurant was pretty slow for a Friday night and I guess other people might feel the same way I do. We had reservations at 6pm. Our table wasn't ready when we got there yet the place was fairly empty.This location has gone down hill."

"We usually go to the Tacoma location but were staying in Seattle to celebrate our first anniversary. I hadn't been to this location so I asked if we could get a table in a private or quieter area. They called and let me know this was do-able! It definitely made a difference to help celebrate our day. Service by our waiter Colin was great as well. Even though we were tucked in the corner he stopped by and checked to make sure we had everything we needed."

"Our server was amazing! he food itself was delicious. My first was not good at all which is why I only rated food good. Our server right away got it replaced for me with a much better tasting one, however on our check at the end of dinner instead of my drink being taken off for the inconvenience like most restaurants would have, we were still charged, and for the moreexpensive of the two. Had the restaurant done more to make up for a bad drink it would have been a wonderful evening."

"We enjoyed our dinner, however I thought the portions were small. The advertisements give the impression that there is an abundance of food, more than you could finish. We had the 4 course selection and there were only a couple of potatoes, 4 slices of beef (2 1/2 inches long) and 4 small pieces of lobster. After dessert I felt semi-full, but felt hungry after I went to bed. The flavors and presentation were good, but I do not think it was worth $150.00 for 2 people. A friend told me we could get a really nice dinner at the Canlis for the same price. I know the economy has been tough on everyone, but either the prices must be reduced or the portions made larger."

The only complain is that my entree (the French Quarter) was far too salty. It was still good, but the salt level could be slashed. She got the Steak Lovers entree and loved it."

"This is probably my third or fourth time experiencing The Melting Pot, and honestly, each time I've always found myself disappointed with the food. For the price, I'd much rather eat somewhere else more upper scale. What I DO like about The Melting Pot is the experience, I like how long it takes to eat a full four course meal, it's perfect for a romantic date or a group date where it provides plenty of time to chatter and have a good enjoyable time, I just wish the food was better. On a last note, I probably would be happy if I went to The Melting Pot just for dessert. :)"

"The cheese fondue was probably the best part but it did lack flavor. We got the cheddar fondue and wisconsin trio fondue. The cheddar was runny and wasn't that flavorful. It just tasted like runny, weak cheese. The salad was tasty, as was the chocolate. However, we got the "Original" chocolate fondue which was supposed to be chocolate swirled with crunchy peanut butter. We did not see the peanut butter and we sure as heck didn't taste it either.
The meat was decent but the broth was seasoned too much. You would get meat that tasted like just pepper. Overall, I would go back again if somebody else was paying."

"The food was amazing, the atmosphere was very romantic, and out waiter was fantastic. I was able to schedule for a 10:15pm sitting after a movie and although we were the last patrons in the restaurant we were never made to feel rushed in any way. For my husband and I it was a rare night without any of our 5 children but it felt like a very special occasion & like a secret getaway. This was a wonderful experience and I would definitely recommend to others!"

"We had a great night! It was our first time there, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Our waiter was great, informative, and explained everything as he was preparing or bringing out food. The only disappointment was the steak/lobster meal. Spending the max amount on a meal, and only getting 3 small strips of steak was quite disappointing. The classic 4 course and the land/sea that others ordered had way more food. My husband ordered a side of lobster and was charged $15.95, which is fine. But charging $42 for the steak/lobster (we did the 4 course) dinner makes those 3 strips of steak quite expensive. I was disspointed by the lack of food for this option."

"My wife and I went for her birthday and they did a pretty good job acknowledging that and setting up the flowers I requested. The service was a little slow at times but overall friendly, albeit not the most knowledgable. Don't believe them when they say you can't over cook the meat when cooking in this style, unless you enjoy tough rubbery meat. I was very disappointed in the prep work for the salad. There were many wilted spots on the lettuce and chunks of red cabbage the size of a large baby carrot. The other veggies didn't look the most fresh either. For that price range I have come to expect a higher level of quality and flavor. I doubt very much I will return."

"My wife and I always enjoy going to the Melting Pot for special occasions. Our server was great we joked around with her several other people stopped by to check on us as well. The food was outstanding as usual. We started with the swiss cheese fondue, our personal favorite, then used the bullion cooking style for the main course. We both did mix and match selection which was a new option in their menu. My wife chose 2 teriyaki steak and 1 chicken and I chose duck, pork tenderloin, and salmon. Choosing the cook time allows each bite to be perfectly cooked and you can pair any of their sauces with each. We love the Melting Pot and the choose 3 course."

"We went to the Melting Pot to do something different for our anniversary, and we were very pleasantly surprised. Our server was wonderful, and even the manager served us when our server was occupied with other guests. The fondues are prepared at your table, which allows you to adjust them to your taste. The cheese fondue was excellent. The entrée fondue choices gave you many options; the meats were beautifully presented and deliciously tender. The chocolate fondue was the highlight, it was not too heavy, and the dippers gave you many choices. For our anniversary, the staff treated us to complimentary champagne and sent us home with a box of chocolate covered strawberries. Truly a memorable dining experience!"

"The 4 course meal allows you an opportunity to try a bit of everything. Make sure you have a reservation as there are a specific number of servers on shift according to the number of reservations booked. If you arrive a bit early you can make yourself comfortable in the bar/lounge for a drink and an appetizer.
I'd also recommend just coming here for desert as the chocolate fondue was exceptionally good."

"My wife and I have been to the Queen Anne Melting Pot many times and we have never had a bad experience. Our visit on 2/14/13 was the first time we'd gone there for Valentine's Day and once again, we had a great time. The service and the food are always top-notch and the atmosphere is perfect for a romantic dinner. We will certainly be back in the near future."

"Came here for a friend's birthday and had a wonderful experience! The ambiance was perfect, our server was great and the drinks weredelicious! Didn't realize we would be "cooking" our own food, which wasn't the best choice at the time since we were all starving but luckily that didn't take long. The portions looked small but my tummy was definately full by the end. The dessert was my favorite and the best part of the experience! Its kind of on the pricey side so I don't think I would retun unless someone else was paying..."

"My girlfriend and I have been here a few times, and over the years, they've really crafted the service to emphasize the experience of fondue. You don't just show up, order, eat and leave, you settle in for three hours semi-guided deliciousness. They're happy to suggest combos and wine pairings, but always play the motto "if it tastes good, who cares what anybody else says?" Plus, you get top part with your food."

"We got the flaming turtle chocolate fondue for dessert. The dipping items left something to be desired as their quality was not the highest, but the chocolate was nothing short of delicious. I would come back just to eat the chocolate fondue plain, but it would be great if the restaurant upped the standards of the dipping items."

"The service was terrible. The waiter would disappear until I caught someone else and asked for the waiter back or the manager. The dinner took over 3 hours and we had 3 kids. Considering we cook the food ourselves, the wait was unacceptable."

"Had a reservation for 8:10, was finally seated at 8:50. 40 mins after being seated finally received our appetizers. All and all spent 4 hours for a simple dinner that we had to rush the waiter for desert due to the parking garage we were parked in closing at midnight. Will not go to the Seattle location again."

"I remember going to the Melting Pot and feeling like I had to be rolled out the door. The portion sizes were generous and the quality was top-notch. It seems that their prices have gone up but their portion sizes have gotten smaller and smaller. Of course, they say that "if you need any more dippers, just ask" but the problem is that if there isn't enough cheese then there's really no need for more dippers now is there?
I think the food still tastes good and we'll likely go back but not nearly as often and we certainly won't be the "raving fans" that we used to be. If feels like they are trying to become a high end restaurant and have forgotten what made them what they are."
