"My friend and I enjoyed a most delightful Mother's Day Brunch in a lovely room with a fabulous view! The food was beautifully displayed and the servings were generous. I love my desserts and was pleased to see they were doing Cherries Jubilee along with a selection of cakes. I was disappointed that there wasn't a nicer selection of desserts . I, like many others, am trying to watch my weight and would have loved to have seen a sugar free meringue of some kind or ???? All in all it was very nice and I loved being presented with the rose as I came in."

"We definitely will be back. It is a relaxing room with beautiful scenery. Too warm to sit out but have done it in our cooler weather. The staff in the dining room are very attentive, friendly and there is never a feeling of being rushed.
Bellatrix is an asset to Palm Desert and the surrounding communities."

"I planned a Ladies' Birthday Luncheon not realizing that they don't use the fancy dining room until evening. Lunch is basically served in the bar and on the patio. Most people had on golfing attire for that time of day. They made an exception for us and let us sit in the Dining Room. They were gracious in helping us accommodate the five extra people that came bringing us to a total of fourteen. Our Servers were calm and polite and efficient. Our food was delicious. I would definitely go back."

"We really enjoyed our view of the mountains...even though it was too windy to take a walk around the grounds like we had planned to do. We had a group of 8 and everyone enjoyed their meals very much. Chef was very accommodating to my vegetarian preference. We all ordered a different dessert and they were all good. Our server Rhonda was very attentive and helpful. Would definitely recommend!"

"The evening turned windy and cold while we were having cocktails and they had to find a table for us inside. Several tables of guesst were too noisy and rowdy for us to enjoy a pleasant evening. Management should have asked loud guests to simmer down so other guests didn't have to hear over drinking crowd. The food was not as delicious as we had enjoyed in previous years. Only the soup, spinach, and salads were DELICIOUS!

"I had reservations for lunch for my 80th birthday with friends I had not seen for a number of years. Everything went great. We were seated on the deck as I had requested with a "Reservation" sign on the table. The waitress was especially nice and lunch was very good. My guests were very impressed. Thank you so much."

"The food {fish-special & halibut) was dry and bland. Shrimp and grits was good. A wait person spilled sauce on my wife,s pants and jacket. We did not know about it until we were getting up to leave. A waiter spotted the ,mess and was helpful in trying to clean it up. Our dining experience was less than we hoped."

"Food was very good. High end decor. Service was terrible. Ice tea served with tiny slice of lemon (like a cheap restaurant), but no sugar on table. Waited ten minutes for waitress to arrive to ask for suger. Waited another five minutes for it to arrive. Soup was served without any spoons on table. Again had to ask for a spoon - had to ask a busboy for the spoon as waitress had disappeared again. Never saw waitress again until she brought the bill.We were a party of two, but waitress added 18% tip to bill for her tip. We will never go back."

"Disappointing! Three people. One was satisfied. The luncheon turkey sandwich special was made with lunch meat turkey and the $6 desert was a heated cookie in a skillet with a tablespoon, (might have been less than a tablespoon of ice cream on top). Had to ask 3 times for mustard. In all, night the worst dining experience, but not the best either."

"FIRST TIME BAD EXPERIENCE WITH OPEN TABLE! Sorry we entertained guests at Bellatrix. Four dinners, each with a problem: salads were warm, service was not good, forgot bread, had to request water refill, two entres over cooked, not as ordered, manager came to table to say guests were wrong in evaluation of meat (unacceptable). The restaurant was not busy for a Saturday evening: for some unknown reason, our party of four was seated right next to what appeard to be a birthday/wedding party (noisy), which did not add to the ambiance. Manager sent two deserts as apology, too late. We will never return, and do not feel we can recommend Bellatrix.IRST TIME BAD EXPERIENCE WITH OPEN TABLE! Sorry we entertained guests at Bellatrix. Four dinners,"
