"There was a good variety of foods. Our reservation was for 4:30pm, but still offered, but breakfast/brunch selections were available. Good selection of seafood: various fish, along with shrimp, king crab legs, crab cakes, etc. Excellent choice of meats: chicken, lamb, beef. Veggies were crisp and fresh. Dessert choice was ample, but missing ice cream. Food was delicious. Service was attentive and staff was friendly, professional.

Was a bit pricey ($45) per adult. Children's cost was reasonable ($14). Ambiance was nice, typical "country club" atmosphere. All in all, good experience for "special occasion". Have been here before---always good food and staff is always attentive to diners' needs."

"My wife and I went to the Sunday brunch on a normal Sunday and we were both extremely impressed. We immediately made reservations for Mothers day for a party of 12. We hyped it up in advance to the guests we were bringing. All of our guests seemed to enjoy the brunch, but my wife and I came away disappointed because we felt like some of the variety was reduced even though we paid 10 dollars more per person. I guess that to handle a crowd that large a decision was made to stream line the offerings. We would be ok with that if the price was not raised for mothers day."

"Our Family took Mom for Brunch on Mother's Day. The food was excellent with many delicious choices including a seafood station with raw bar, Cutting station with a good selection of meats, a waffle station, kid's station, and great deserts station. We all had a very enjoyable time and will be sure to come back on special occasions."

"Too crowed tables were jammed together. Service was extremely slow took too long to get drink orders or even acknowledged that we were sitter at table. Check was wrong 3 times -overcharged each time. Buffet tables were messy."

"Had the pleeasure to visit this restaurant several times in the past 2 years. Their brunch is the best by far although a little pricey, particlarly on special occassions such as Mother's Day. If there is any restaurant better for brunch within 50 miles of Deerfield, including Philadelphia, I want to know about it. Sunday morning breakfast is my specialty and passion. Deerfield is special and satisfies my passion."

"We have eaten at the Deerfield for brunch before and it was wonderful, but on this day the brunch was not served in the usual room as it had been booked for another event. Upon arrival we had to wait to be seated while they cleared tables. When we were seated it was at a table in a small alcove without windows and the elegance of the customary room. The food was still very good but the ambience and service was lacking. We were celebrating my birthday and the whole experience put a damper on the occasion for me. To add insult to injury we then had to wait for the check which I finally had to request so that we could finally leave."

"Booked a table at the Grille for 7pm dinner after a round of golf through Open Table online. Unfortunately they apparently stop cooking at 7PM so we were lucky we were early. The waitress was very accommodating and handled it well. Just be careful and call ahead for the schedule or pay attention to the information on the website. Food was very good but selection is limited although a nice variety. Great place."

"We arrived promptly for our 3:30pm reservation only to be told that they were not seating yet. We waited for almost 30 minutes prior to seating. Then we waited again as there either wasn't sufficient staff, or the staff didn't know which tables they were to serve. We waited another 10 minutes prior to waitstaff appearing to take a drink order. This lack of service continued throughout the meal.The food was cold. The chicken was literally cold to the touch and as a result, no one who selected it actually ate it. The veal similarly was luke warm and would have been very good if it was served at an appropriate temperature. The meat on the carving stations was also lukewarm.For almost $45. per person, this was a disaster."

"We attended the Sunday brunch. It is the best in quality, quantity, uniqueness, and presentation of any bruch I have ever attended. It was St. Patrick's Day and special menu items included Shepherd Pie, fish and chips, lamb chops, and the best "Corned beef" steamship round I have ever eaten. Worth the few extra dollars above the others. The kids had a blast at their very own buffet table with "kiddie" foods and treats. I can't wait to go again!"

"The Sunday brunch was incredible... Lamb riblets and sushi bar, giant shrimp and crab legs. Very child friendly with "book" of projects and a children's buffet ! Maple sugar bacon is like a dessert. Speaking of desserts, bread pudding and real NY cheesecake and some luscious chocolate. It is brunch, so there is also the usual eggs (including eggs benedict), sausage, potatoes and collection of breads and bagels. Pricey but well worth it. Our party drove a half hour or more to meet there, but it was worth it."

"We really enjoyed our food and the atmosphere but the server was terrible. Our drinks took forever to arrive, we had to ask several times for water, or to have empty plates cleared. Another server took pity on us a couple of times and helped out, but there is no excuse for such poor service at a higher end establishment."

"Deerfield continues to maintain a very high standard with their Sunday brunch. The food is excellent, and there are small and subtle changes every Sunday menu presented in the 110 feet of brunch. I continue to rate it as the best brunch in Delaware and surprisingly at $34 per person it is reasonable for the quality of food offered. The quality of the food in the Deerfield brunch surpasses the quality we had recently on a Celebrity cruise ship.

The environment is superb with a fresh and bright luncheon room with delightful views of the golf course."
