Lucky Cheng's, the infamous drag queen capital of the world, boasts outrageous drag queen cabaret, comedy, karaoke, and servers to complement its delicious Pan-Asian cuisine and sushi. The prices are $40, $45 and $50 per person which includes the show, but not drinks, tax or gratuity. The new theater district dramatic space boasts a spectacular show as the entire staff turns out great performances. Popular for pre or post theater, the main event for the evening, corporate events, holiday parties, bachelorette and birthday parties, and other special occasions. ""Two Snaps and a You Betta Work B! That's what I give Lucky Cheng's. My four girlfriends and I were celebrating my 44th birthday. We had reservations for the Saturday 5:30pm show and one by one we showed up late. I was the first to be tardy and was greeted by Coco, the bartender and her bullhorn in my face I might add. "B your late and so is the rest of your party! But your necklace is Fierce!" FREAK'N HILARIOUS!!! She made me a birthday cocktail and the hostess sat me at my table. Eventually my girls showed up and our server Bree was very accommodating. The show was Great! The food was SURPRISINGLY Delicious! Overall it was a Great birthday dinner and the start of a Great night!....A Night Fit For A Diva!"

"The food here is excellent! This is a great place for a celebration. HOWEVER, IT IS NOT KID FRIENDLY. The staff and entertainers are all drag queens who use colorful languange and adult humor. The atmosphere is loud and crowded but is really fun. There were several bachelorette parties going on there but it is just as appropriate for a birthday or anniversary party. Did I mention the food is excellent? The dinner is prix fixe at $40 with other options for small surcharges. Service was a bit slow but you won't notice with everything going on. I love this place especially for a special occasion."

"It was an ok time. I felt like the waiters were very pushy on the drink orders. They kept asking if we want more drinks, however I asked for water, I did not want a drink. All the alcholic be charges came and no water, even though my water did not come, they came back asking if we wanted more drinks, I had to ask for water again and then it finally came. The food is nothing to write hone about, but it was ok. The entertainment was cool as well. At the end of the meal, the staff hands a white envelope to each table. They then announce for you to put money in these envelopes to tip the staff. Then your bill comes to the table with a 20% gratuity included. I was not a fan of this. I don't think that should have been a mandatory fee."

"5 of us celebrated a friend's 50th birthday. We were seated up in the balcony. We had our own comfy couch for picture taking. The food was good, a little salty but we didn't go there for the food. We went for the entertainment which was very good and fun to watch. The waiters/waitresses were friendly and happily posed for pictures. The balloon guy was also very good. Would definitley go there with another group of women. Not for hubbies or kids, even teenagers though!"

When your upstairs, you aren't part of the show and you really can't see much. We still had a great time and the staff was wonderful. I know for next time to request a table downstairs."

"2 out of 3 of us didn't like the food. The crab rolls were very greasy. The Thai dish w chicken was too spicy to enjoy and only had 2 small pcs of chicken in it. The chicken cashew rice dish was lacking taste. I wasn't pleased w the lack of non alcoholic beverages. I wanted iced tea bc I don't drink soda. Though the waitress did bring us a pitcher of water.Our service was good, she was attentive when she was there.
The show was very hokey and amature. The lip sinking was terrible. Only on woman actually sang and was quiet good. The asian womans routine wasn't very funny and crude.
It was an experience, but I won't recommend it. Everyone working there was very friendly."

Expect raunchy covers ("props" included) of Whitney Houston, Donna Summer, Madonna, Cher by extravagant queens.
Prepare to be put on the spot by the emcee and order another if you ever feel uncomfortable.

"This place was an absolute BLAST for a bachelorette party, where we wanted good stiff drinks, lots of raunchy entertainment, and tons of laughts! The food was okay, but we didn't care, too busy watching the show. Be warned that the food is WAY overpriced, but the drinks are good and strong. The only disappointment was our "bride" didn't get any special attention, which we were hoping for. However, for the most part, tons of XXX fun!"

"Really fun experience, and the drag queens were a blast. This kind of event is really more appropriate for a group, although we went as a couple and it wasn't a problem. We shared several of their mixed drink bowls.
Unfortunately they brought our entrees before our appetizers, which was a little weird (apparently they brought the apps to the wrong table). But they quickly brought new apps out and comped us a shot and an additional drink bowl.
The drag performances were great, the MC was hilarious, and those girls were giving some real fish up onstage."

"Lucky Cheng's is a lot of fun. The waitresses are spectacular and the performers are really engaging. My only complaint is the pricing isn't honest. They promote a $40 3-course choice which is pretty darn reasonable, except they end up charging you for one of those courses. The show was fun enough and the people warm enough that to complain would have seemed meanspirited, but they should raise the price and include the course."

"The food at this restaurant is mediocre but the show and general experience is well worth it to go at least one to experience it or for a fun birthday or bachelorette celebration. The service is alright but what you are really going for is the beautiful drag queens who run the place. WARNING: The lounge and karaoke advertised on their website are still not open which left our bachelorette party really disappointed with no where to go so we had to finish the night early."

"The place was very lively and there were lots of colorful outfits to take in. From the hostess to the bartender to the waitress everyone was charming. But it is definately something different I would recommend someone to try."

"Food rating was an estimate, the review would not take without a food rating. It took so long for someone to take our drink order, we paid our bill and left before ordering food. The restaurant more than half empty. The first server said that we could order from the prix fixe menu or the individual menu. We decided to order individually and the second server said that was against restaurant policy. I was bringing out of town guests and it was very embarassing. Used to have wonderful times at the old East Village location. Second server brought a complimentary round of shots which were very much appreciated but that could not compensate for the rest of the bad experience."

"Food wasn't great, we never got 2 of our courses, but do you really go there for the food? the performers were hilarious & energetic!
Our server was nice, but did have an issue with the bill. We had to ask numerous times for an itemized bill, and we ended up waiting about 45 min for one.
Overall, we had a really fun time there, however we did eat as soon as we left."

"Overall the food is not the best, but edible. The show was wonderfull and our service was enhanced by our servers doing their performances. We had two servers so we were never neglected. There is some audience participation and gentle "ribbing". Overall, great fun!"

"I had a great time at Lucky Cheng's. It is not a place that you go for the food, obviously, but the food was good. It's all about the show, and I'm sure the karaoke is a blast, too. I would absolutely go back, especially with a group of friends for a fun night out in New York City."

"The bar itself isn't very memorable. When you walk in the lighting is pretty dim but the host and all the dancers make you feel right at home. We were seated in front of the stage which was where all the action was. It was a really fun experience. The food was poor at best. Small for the price of over $160.00 for just two people. We immediately left after the show and went to eat at another quick pizza restaurant."

"Although the food left much to be desired, the atmosphere was outstanding. The Hostesses were very friendly and entertaining and the atmosphere was perfect for a energetic crowd. The wait service could have been better,they made you feel rushed. The cocktails were good, and the service was prompt. My only complaint is that the food was mediocre at best. For a little over $200 for a party of three from a prefixed menu I was more than a bit disappointed. Thank goodness the show made up for where the food fell short, I guess thats what you're really paying for, the experience not the food. Over all I had a nice time."
