"Food was excellent although on the pricey side. The noise level was extremely high, making it difficult to converse with the person sitting right next to me. Service was not very attentive. Although I totally enjoyed my meal, I am hesitant to return due to the excessive noise level since I enjoy being able to converse with people over dinner."

"We've been to Basil T's many times but this last visit wasn't as good as previous visits. Something just seemed to be missing. While food is still good, prices seem to have increased. The menu format was different-didn't care too much for the redesign. Service was good for most part."

"We went for an early dinner before a show at the Count Basie Theater. Our meal was perfect from start to finish. Our waiter was attentive and service was prompt. The restaurant had several large parties ( which included alot of kids) which made it a little loud, but thats ok, everyone is entitled to a fun night out! We will definitely return to Basil T's again!."

"So many large groups in the dining room on a Sat night, everyone was shouting at each other to be heard. Not a place a couple would want to go or even two couples to catch up, as you can't hear each other. Service was good, food was fine, but it seemed pricey for a rustic meal."

"The homemade pastas are top notch here - although a little pricy, its definitely worth it. We've come for both lunch and dinner, there is a large selection of Panini's at lunchtime - definitely check that out. Seasonal specials, and fabulous Italian wine list."

"Good spot for before theater. Menu is a bit restrictive and I thought expensive for the menu selections. rcommend offering a house wine by the glass."

"I live right around the corner from Basils and have not gone in quite some time because I found the prices were getting very high. I decided to give it another chance this past weekend -- and sorry, it is just not worth the money. The food is good -- but the service is NOT and it is fairly loud (so not easy to have a conversation) -- AND I went early! There is expensive and there is over-priced. Unfortunately Basils is just plain over-priced."

"Not really worth the money. Had a reservation and still didn't get seated until 45 minutes later. Food was ok, it lacked Italian flavor and was too fried tasting. Our server was awkward and not very polite. Over all probably won't go there again."

"This was our first time at Basil T's; we were not disappointed. Came with friends from the Bronx who love great food. Everything was delicious. We sampled the salads, pea soup, sausage & peppers, pizzetta (sooo fresh), pasta bolognese, chicken francese, pork chops with hot & sweet vinegar peppers, and the eggplant parm. All so tasty. Where do they find such fresh tomatoes especially so early in the season? (and they're everywhere you look, too!) Fresh ingredients make all the difference. For dessert, we ordered the wonderfully delicious apple cake, tiramisu, and chocolate torte. All terrific. Server was attentive & knowledgeable of the various menu items & beers. Table by the windows was somewhat quieter than other tables. Will return."

"We were seated within minutes of our reservation time. The wait staff was very friendly and helpful. We were there on a March-Madness night so the bar was packed with people wanting to eat and watch the games. We sat in the dining room which was also at full capacity. We had four in our group and shared two pizzas, split two specials, plus side salads and appetizers all around. We were stuffed - the food was absolutely delicious. Not a place to go if you're looking for a quiet night out, but Basil T's is great for a fun night out with friends."

"We went for the annual St. Joseph's Day feast and the food was decidedly worse than last year. Blah salad, not enough sardines in the Pasta Con Sarde and, even though it was the first night, they didn't have the special puff pastry. We usually like Basil T's but this was clearly a bad night. Poor St. Joseph--and us!"

"We had a very relaxed lunch despite the crowds who were there enjoying the roll-back menu prices with us. The salads were enough for four and I appetizer mussels were the most delicious I've ever had. The reduced price wine by the glass added to the wonderful ambience."

"There were 2 menus... The main one was difficult to read and without any descriptions. Have to say wine list and appetizers were amazing... Service was wonderful. Very noisy and dinner was just ok.... Cannoli were great. Would not go out of my way to come here when there are so many choices in the immediate area."

"We took out of towners to BasilT . They were very impressed. Food was delicious. Octopus chickpea salad was fresh and interesting. Bolognese and meatballs best I have had in a long while. Waiter was great. Attentive but not hovering. He rattled off the many specials in detail like he was reciting the alphabet. Can't wait to go again"

"Went for their "Throw Back Menu"...Old time prices- Well the food was fine...the portions were tiny, and if you made any subs at all (ie. club soda instead of the throw back 7 Up, the up charge was a whopping $2.50 per glass)!. If you ordered the pasta with meatball, and wanted another meatball, the additional meatball was $4.00. ARE YOU KIDDING ME???? Basil T's is one of the most over priced restaurants around, so we tried to go and take advantage of this new promo...and based on the portion size and the upcharges, it's still overpriced and underwhelming!"

"Basil T's stands out as something different in the neighborhood. As a micro brewery the beer was good. I had the sampler and enjoyed all the beers. There is a large bar area with local talent playing. The decor involves a lot of tomatoes and brick walls. The handmade pasta was great . In fact I must go back for more. I would definately recommend this and would most certainly go back."

"This was my second time at Basil Ts fir dinner. This visit the dining room was busier than th first and service suffered as a result. Our waitress was focused on a table of 6 and we sat fir 15 minutes without so much as a greeting. The waitress was all unprofessional and loud. She shouted over our heads to another table. The food at Basil Ts is very good, but overpriced. The bar area is very nice, the bartenders were very friendly and there was live music which was very nice. Not too loud, you could enjoy the music but still talk to each other."

"Vic has been a friend for years, and even after eating his menu twice over these past few years- the evening was new and fresh. My sea bass was perfectly cooked and paired with the perfect accompaniments. The staff was gracious and attentive, consistently there when we needed another drink or wine recommendation. Overall Vic continues to institute excellence in food, service and experience- I would recommend Basils to anyone any foodie, who appreciates quality ingredients, unique food pairings and a wine list that would make any sommelier want to take credit for its creation!"

"Great ambiance and GREAT food! My wife and I love the cozy feel of this place – truly like a comfortable living room. Great place to relax and enjoy a nice drink with a fantastic dinner after a hectic week of work. Best prosciuto platter anywhere - bar none. So good it almost feels decadent! We've been here before and will definitely be back. Service was efficient and friendly. A little on the expensive side, but worth every penny!"
