"We had eaten here previously. We had the most annoyingly cloying waiter that I vowed I'd never go back. He must be gone because this time we had a great experience. I may go again tonight. Food is very good, atmosphere is lovely and not easily found in Clifton Park. Recommend!"

"My husband and I had a gift card for Wheatfields, and despite living in Saratoga our whole lives, neither of us had ever been. We opted to meet another couple at the Wheatfields Bistro down in Clifton Park for a nice night out without the kids. The Clifton Park restaurant was beautiful-very inviting, and warm. We had made reservations online and were seated immediately. Our server however was awful. It took her over 20 minutes to even come and take our orders, and she forgot one thing after another. When we finally received our meal and appetizer, 3 out of the 4 of us were disappointed. The food just lacked flavor, and was much less than what I was hoping for. My husband and i were glad that we had a gift card, and only paid a little oop."

"My wife had a pork special and it came out dry and smoky. The smoky part was never described on the menu or the server. They gladly offered another selection and did not charge for it."

"There was a party of 4 next to us, 2 couples who each had a Groupon. They made them each sit at a table for 4, so there was only 1 Groupon per table, instead of doing separate checks. Meanwhile, there were many parties waiting to be seated! Both of us thought our meals were just ok, nothing special."

"Our dinner was great but our service wasn't as good. We sat at our table for ten minutes before our waitress came over to take our drink order. When she did come over she said she didn't see someone was seated at her table, yet she had walked by us several times while helping the table next to us. When it came time to order dessert she told us she would be right back with the dessert tray but clearly forgot because we waited again and when she walked by us she muttered "oh shoot" and ran to get the tray. Our food was very good, which far out weighed the slow service."

"Staff was great and attentive. Restaurant has very nice decor. Food is "meh". So-so. For the price of a pasta dish (over $20) you only get the pasta, so salad, etc. There is nothing special about the food taste wise, in fact the pasta in my pasta special was overcooked. The only reason I ate there was because of the Groupon. In the Capital District, you can get much better Italian food for the same price or less."

"The service was great but the food was ok. The crab Mac and cheese was dry and cold. My husband didn't finish his chicken parm. We like going to the Saratoga one better. The food is so much better there. I'd recommend people to go to that location versus the Clifton Park one."

"Our food was decent enough, but nothing special. The fireplace is for ambience only, as the restaurant was chilly both times we ate here. Service was friendly but not always astute. At an Italian restaurant should you really have to make a special request to get cheese on your pasta?"

"The restaurant is too dark. It doesn't need to be brightly lit but I would like enough light to see my food. It was noisy such that we had to almost yell and it was hard to hear the waiter. We had no interest in wine and did not see the wine list. Fireplace is a nice touch."

"Bistro was very good but did not outshine another local favorite, Bellini's. It was much cozier and quieter than I expected which was great for catching up with a friend. I appreciated the couches by the fire to wait for my friend to arrive rather than a lobby where you are in the way. This was much more comfortable. Our server could have been oroe gracious about us staying much later than the completion of our meals. Offering a drink refill would have been nice. With plenty of empty tables around we were not eating up tip money and we compensated with our tip. She was great about answering questions about the menu and refilling drinks while we ate. Open Table reservations was a terrific way to make plans."

"My wife and I had a night without the kids, how rare. We chose to return to this restaurant because of past experience. Once again it was the right choice. We have been here 5 or 6 times and have never been disappointed. The food is always very good and the wait staff is attentive and well versed. We appreciate what you have to offer."

"This was our 4th visit in the past year. Every time we have been very pleased with the food quality, preparation and presentation. On this visit we had the scallops with an asparagus risotto, and shrimp in a spinach risotto. Both were supurb. Our only minor complaint each time we go is that there is no real separation from the bar area which tends to be noisy. Wheatfields Bistro has become one of our favorite restaurants in Saratoga County."

"We were looking for a place to go with an out of town couple. Wheatfield's was perfect. My wife and I have loved the Saratoga Wheatfields for years. Now there's one in Clifton Park which is so accessible and is a great place to bring friends and family for fine dining. The food and the service there can not be beat!"

"The food was okay, the steak had more of a charred flavor than a sauce, but not well done so that was a plus. The wine was delicious, and the server was very friendly. Not a lot for the price but still a decent time."

"Waiter did a great job. Our first time there and really enjoyed the food. I feel that the quality of food was excellent, but the quantity was small for the price. I had the pan seared scallops and I felt that four scallops for $25 was excessive."

"We went to celebrate my Dad's 87th Birthday, the staff was very friendly and patient toward my dad you has a hard time remembering things. They gave him a free dessert and a free lb of home made pasta with marinara sauce, it was awesome we had it the next day. not many restaurants will do that. The food was excellent and was served pipping hot, the fire place was lit and gave it a nice homey feel. Had a great dining experience."

"Went to Wheatfield's on the Saturday following Valentines day. We had reservations for 5pm. We were offered first the table directly next to the front door. This was unacceptable being that we had reservations and therer were many other tables available. We asked for another option and were provided a table in the back of the restaurant. Our waiteress seemed unpleasant as first. Almost made us feel like it was a chore to be taking our order. She seemed rushed as well. When bringing bread she said she would give us another minute to order, but we were ready. Shouldn't we be asked not told when we should order? The food was better than average but the portions seem to have shrunk from what I remember. The mixed margarita my wife got was $10!"

"My wife and I came here for lunch a week ago. There is a live piano player, which was good, but it was way too load making it difficult at times to talk to each other. The pasta quality was good. It is advertised as locally grown grains. Unfortunately, this was unable to help the pasta dishes for us. Maybe it was a off day but they were awful. The chicken rigis should have a warning label for how spicy they are. And their chicken marsala variant was bitter and the chicken was quite tough. Well, thats my rant. I will say that i enjoyed my clam appetizer, though it wasnt clear on the menu that it was just "fancy" clams casino."

"I had lunch with a colleague at Wheatfields. We had not seen each other in almost a year and had a lot to talk about. We were waited on efficiently, promptly and courteously and left alone to enjoy our reunion for almost three hours. We were never made to feel uncomfortable about our long stay. And to add to our enjoyment, the food was excellent and the room most pleasant with a lit fireplace and soft jazz in the background. I highly recommend this restaurant and will return there myself whenever possible."

"It could have been a excellent overall experience if it wasn't for the seating arrangements. I understand it was Valentine's Day, however that really isn't an excuse to put two-person tables literally about 1-foot apart. We have absolutely no privacy it was basically like sitting at a long table with complete strangers to the left and right, if it wasn't for the fact we were hungry and everywhere was packed we would have left."

"Enjoyed our night out at Wheatfield's. Tagliatelle Bolognese was wonderful. Really like their homemade pastas. Wedge salad was very nice and crisp and the dressing was delicious. Wine list was being revamped according to our server, so the wines by the bottle choices were not as extensive as I'd hoped. Found a nice white from Tuscany, though. Portions are just right. Enjoyed appetizers but had to pass on dessert as we were too full by then. Love the atmosphere at Wheatfield's - very tastefully decorated and cozy!"
