Famed Napa Valley restaurateur Donna Scala has created one of Orlando’s hottest new restaurants with La Luce®, serving Italian favorites -- including homemade pasta, flatbread pizzas and dreamy regional specialties -- all inspired by traditional family recipes that have been perfected through the generations.
Orlando magazine food critic Joseph Hayes said La Luce (pronounced lah-looch-ay) has placed the hotel on “Orlando’s culinary map,” proclaiming it one of the city’s best new restaurants. And his enthusiasm didn’t center solely on its “tasty and quirky” (his words) regional Italian fare, either. He was equally impressed with the service: “it’s as crisp as the bed linens in the hotel upstairs,” he raved.

"We were staying at the Hilton Bonnet Creek and had landed at Orlando after a 10 hour flight from London at 7pm and had a reservation for 9pm at this restaurant. We were there to have a drink each, have an entree and go to bed. The food was excellent, fresh and tasty. The food arrived very quickly. The service was a little slow (not terribly slow but a bit slow) and my sense was that because we weren't big spenders (a glass of wine, a glass of prosecco and 2 entrees) we weren't really focused on as compared to diners ordering multi-course meals or more alcohol. Food 4* Service 3*."

"Good food and excellent service. Unfortunately, the most notable event of the night was that one of my companions left his credit card at the restaurant. However, before we were back to our hotel the restaurant called my cell phone to notify me so we were able to return only minutes later to retrieve it. Potential disaster was averted by friendly and thoughtful service on the part of the establishment."

"Top Italian experience from the food to waiter. The ricotta gnocchi were superb - light and tender. Others in our party had the porcini dusted ribeye, pork chop and roasted cauliflower pasta. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the meal and the service was top notch. Don't miss this one!"

"Wonderful evening. Great table near the window overlooking the pool and golf course. Was able to see the sun set. Food was superb. Service was attentive but not crowding. Try the Butterscotch Pudding (recommended by staff) - it was amazing. There were even fireworks which were beautiful. I will return when back in Orlando."

"Beautiful space in a gorgeous resort. Super friendly staff. Good wine list to complement a great Italian menu. The experience was overall very nice. Even though the restaruant is not specifically designed for small children, we felt quite comfortable with our 11 month old son. They gave us a booth that made it nice to have him in a corner between my wife and I. I would recommend this resataurant as a great place for anyone, couples-groups-families-etc. to enjoy a nice dinner in a wonderful setting."

"the food is solid. the place has good energy. The only pasta made in house is ravioli which I enjoyed despite the large amount of tomato sauce it was bathed in. I would have preferred less to really savor the ricotta/pesto filling."

"If you want fresh, hand-made pasta made with TLC and exquisite flavors, do not miss this. The fresh-fired pizzas are also incredible. The fettuccine with sausage ragu, the handmade ravioli with a side of meatballs, the fresh caprese salad made with local heirloom tomatoes and superior mozzarella ... I could go on and on. We're ecstatic to have found outstanding Italian so close to Disney. We will be dining here A LOT. There's just no comparison. It's the best Italian in the area. Amazing place, amazing service, but most of all, amazing food."

"We love La Luce. We first tried it a year ago when we stayed at the Hilton Bonnet Creek. We liked it so much we went twice for dinner during our stay. This year we stayed across the street, but made dinner reservations one night, and requested outside seating, which is so relaxing and comfortable. Our daughters love the bench seating with all the pillows. We again had such a pleasant experience we went back the next night and requested the same table. They have pasta and pizza for the younger children, so everyone is happy. And the timing/spacing of the meal is very relaxed, we never felt rushed, which we loved!"

"We dined here during our recent vacation at DISNEYWORLD. It's located inside the Hilton Bonnet Creek resort. The restaurant is very busy, mainly due to many vacationers and conventioneers combined, so important to make a reservation, even during week nights. We waited about 30 minutes for our table, even though we had a reservation. Hostess said they were clearing our table, would be ready soon, but how could that take 30 minutes???? The food is New American Italian style, and it was prepared perfectly. The only negative is they do host many convention dinners and the service can get a little slow due to the waiters needing to cater to the larger tables. It can also get quite loud if you are seated nearby a large group conventioneers."

"We ate here our second night staying at the Hilton, and it was a real treat. Excellent pizza (the pizza of the day had peaches on it, and was amazing), and delicious pastas. By far, the best thing we ordered was a risotto del giorno that was served with a perfectly cooked filet mignon on top. Absolutely delicious."

"Ate here two years ago and loved it so we decided to try again even though we weren't able to get a room in the hotel for our visit - so glad we did! Excellent wine recommendation, delicious food and a beautiful setting - only reminder that you're close to Disney are the half asleep children forced to the dinner table by their weary parents! "The food was fantastic but it was obvious our server forgot to put in our dinner order as we waited 20 minutes after finishing our soup and salad. Drinks were mediocre and way overpriced at $13 for a small mixed drink. After having dinner here, we have decided to not have our wedding dinner at La Luce."

"I find the Disney resorts fairly dismal as food venues but I have to go there from time to time for conferences. I was thrilled to discover La Luce, a restaurant inside the Hilton, on a recent trip - the food was the equal to any restaurant in the Bay Area, where I live. It has everything I appreciate - gracious service, delicious food, and a lovely setting. And the four of us could hear one another talk, a big plus with me when eating out with old friends, family, or customers."

"In the Disney Resort during Presidents' Day Weekend, everyplace is crowded and noisy. La Luce was no exception. However, La Luce had adequate staff and service was attentive. We were going to see a show so we were in more of a hurry than we should have been to enjoy "dining." Extensive wine list and a generous pour. Food was well prepared, hot and tasty. No dessert. The check came promptly when requested."

"This was a terrible experience. Our waiter was like the invisible man, we couldn't see him! Service was horrible, beers warm and food mediocre...should be able to give Zero's. Avoid this place."

"We had a very enjoyable meal. My appetizer beet salad was the best i have had and my wife raved about her leaning tower of Pisa. I had a boar Ragu that was excellent and the pasta was nicely al dente. The waiter recommended a great Italian red. The bar was very noisy with conference attendees but that wasn't surprising. Great spot for some tasty northern Italian but not for a quiet romantic meal."
