Located in the beautiful Waldorf Astoria Orlando. A trend-setter, like the legendary New York City original, Bull & Bear Restaurant is the only restaurant in Florida to exclusively feature Prime grade Certified Angus Beef brand meat. "Bull and Bear is contained within one of the nicest hotels in Orlando and it stands tall as a gem in the hotels amenities. Considerable focus is given to each guest and the service which they receive. We had a staff of six which worked various portions of our table and the lead waiter was incredibly helpful in understanding all aspects of the menu and the possibilities of fare. The dining was European casual with no rush on any course from one to the other. For the meal proper, each course was served with great elegance and was outstanding in both presentation and flavor. We felt that there was a great emphasis on having you feel comfortable and they certainly succeeded. We did not have dessert however will be back for that course."

"This is what a fine dining restaurant is all about, service, service and service. All if the staff was very attentive without being overwhelming. The drinks, the apps, the entrees and the desserts were phenomenal! I highly recommend this restaurant! Simply excellent! Keep up with your phenomenal service!"

"This is a nicely appointed upscale "steak and" restaurant with some excellent dry aged meat and a several items of interest on a moderate sized menu. It sits inside the Hilton Waldorf Astoria Hotel and presents itself accordingly.
My issue with the restaurant was the hosts and management. The arrogance of the host staff and how they ultimately treated me as a guest was unacceptable. When I reached an impasse with them I asked for a manager to stop by and it took me getting up in the middle of my meal and walking to the front desk to speak to the hotel manager before the restaurant managed stopped being an arrogant jerk. All of this and I was not asking for any for anything but to be treated as if I was a customer. I will never return."

"The service was outstanding and the recommended wine and food showed the servers familiarity with the fresh options. The atmosphere was definitely high class. No overwhelming music and a great view over the pool area and outstanding golf course. I would definitely go there again. Great place for a business dinner or lunch."

"Have been dining there for several years now: I was visiting Orlando frequently, always staying at Waldorf and having a dinner there at least once per my stay. Now moved to Orlando and still come there couple of times a month. By far the best steaks in Orlando. Period. It is quite pricey, but worth every penny. Great food, awesome wine list and absolutely wonderful customer service."

"We recently celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary and had a very nice dinner at the Bull & Bear. The staff went above & beyond to make our experience one to remember. The steak was the finest and seemed to get better with each bite. I don't recall ever having a more enjoyable night and was well worth the price and then some. We had ordered a cheese cake for our desert and the staff brought out a decorated plate for our 20th anniversary with a wonderful card signed by the staff. The Bull & Bear is by far the best of the best and the chef is nothing less than Outstanding!"

"I can't say enough about Bull & Bear. As weird as it sounds, the (excellent) food wasn't even the best part. The wait staff that serves your table is so on-the-ball, so observant to what your needs are and will soon be that it even overshadowed the cuisine. I wasn't asked 12 times if I like my food - they just kept a close eye on everything from a distance and allowed me to enjoy the meal.
The comfort I felt during the meal was outstanding. Nowhere could I find a light too bright, yet it was always easy to see. The chair seemed designed to have my exact dimensions sit in it.

Fine dining high quality beautifully appointed and exemplary service rarely experienced at this level in Central Florida. Our waiter was the most professional yet warm and personable at the most appropriate level. Staff was attentive yet unobtrusive. The lobster bisque and escargot are like no other enjoyed in various upscale US establishments. Along with tableside ceasar salad we enjoyed the most-tender and tasty Chateaubriand for two. While expectations were high for this Waldorf Astoria site- they were exceeded. "Probably one of the best steaks that I have ever eaten but the service far outweighed our satisfaction with the food. At no point after our steaks and sides were delivered did our head waiter or any of the assistants come by to make sure everything was cooked accordingly, tasted up to expectations, etc. At ANY steakhouse, this is a minimum standard and at this price point specifically is a complete lack of attention and detail. My partner ordered 2 Diet Cokes during dinner and each time regular Cokes were brought. At no point at the close of dinner did anyone ask if we enjoyed the dinner, enjoyed the experience, etc. - the only questions asked were if we were ready for plates to be taken away and if we were finished."

"We ordered the lobster bisque but it had too much salt in it. They changed the soup to a different one which was great. Then the steak (not the freshest ones I have had) had too much seasoning on the top. They changed that too, but the new one was cooked in a rush and they burned it. At that point, after wasting more than 2 hours, we had to leave, never to come back again. Service was good and they comp-ed our check. We had to order room service as we were very hungry at that point."

"The worst money I've ever spent. It was my second time there, because the service couldn't be as bad as the first time right? Wrong. 2.5 hours into a 4 course meal we had been served 2 courses. No attention at the table, not glasses refilled, nothing. We never even got a chance to look at the dessert menu and even if we had we wouldn't have ordered for fear of another excruciating wait!! "This was my second trip to the Bull & Bear, my first being a couple of years ago. My first visit wasn't that memorable, so it took me a while to make it back. And I'm glad I did. I would classify this meal as one of the best I've had in Orlando. I had four courses and each one was memorable. The other 3 members of my party echo my sentiments. "This restaurant has received many great reviews; unfortunately, I cannot provide a similar review.
I am a New Yorker who works near Bull & Bear in New York. I recently stayed at Waldorf Astoria Orlando, and made a reservation at this restaurant more than 3 weeks prior to my visit. I noted that it was a special occasion (a birthday) and requested a special table. However, there was nothing special about the table even though the restaurant was not busy. I complained that service was slow and sporadic; it did not improve. The restaurant was aware that a birthday was being celebrated, but did nothing to make the meal special. Based on our experience, we did not stay for cake (and the restaurant did not offer any)."

"room(s) are very formal and all have a magnificent view of the golf course panorama or the hotel pool below. help seating always there as one person at your table at all times. drinks were incredible as was the well stocked bar. i have a liquer i order than i can rarely find: quaranta y tres and of course they had it. my dover sole was fileted table side and our waitress carol was offering information throughout the meal on the offerings. i have dined in 100 countries and this was by far my best dining experience to date. my brother and his wife were my guests. he also is well traveled and blase (cfo of fortune 100 company) was a frequenter of the bull and bear in nyc. to him,this was better. the best of the best!"

"This is a must when visiting Orlando. Top level service from the monent your car is valet parked. You must experience a menu that is full with the chef's creations. The wine list is great and your server will be happy to recomend parings. During your meal you will have a number of servers that will explain what you have ordered. "By far the best restaurant my wife and I have ever been to. Our dinner was quite expensive, however, we left completely satisfied and felt it was worth every penny ($290 for the two of us). Quality food and great service. A must for a special occasion."

"The Bull & Bear lived up to its reputation for terrific steaks. I had what they call the "Chairman's Reserve" Delmonico which I ordered medium rare but with a good char. I was actually pleasantly surprised when my steak actually came back spot on. The meat was obviously quality aged beef from Allen Brothers out of Chicago which was seasoned perfectly. My wife had the pan roasted Dover Sole which was excellently prepared tableside. For a side we shared the Mashed Potatoes which were sinfully delicious. My only regret is that we were too stuffed to even think about ordering dessert."

"Bull and Bear delivers the best food and service. We are locals and typically stay away from resort restaurants, but this one is too good to miss. We were party of four and no one ordered the same dish, and everyone of us was happy. I had the Dover sole and requested with no butter an the chef created a olive oil and garlic sauce for me instead of the traditional butter sauce. Very good!

"The Pasta explosion is a WOW ! The tasting menu is a good idea if you are only able to dine at Bull & Bear on one night. One gets to sample quite a number of fab. dishes, All the deserts are to die for, the chocolate bar, souflee, beignets, The Lemon, Creme Brulee........

"We arrived an hour before our reservation and they were able to seat us 40 minutes early. The menus have lights to compensate for the minimally lit dining room. The servers were prompt and attentive. The salmon was slightly undercooked but still flavorful. You must experience the table side caesar salad."

"Overall a wonderful expeirence. We arrived early to our reservation and there is a bar and lounge area to wait for your table. A server quickly took our drink orders and offered snacks. The Mojito is amongst the best I've had with a perfect balance of not being too sweet yet still being refreshing with a mint taste. I also had El Diablo which is a tad spicy and you can taste the tequila, but it still is very good albeit a stronger drink.
For starters we had the foie gras which was the best I've had in the U.S., it's the full liver on a sweetened biscuit. Also had the corn soup which is think and flavorful. The Tomahawk was an excellent steak. Service was great and noise was low enough to have an easy conversation at the table."

"Excellent dining experience again! The service team is top notch. We felt the team really worked with us to provide the best dining experience possible. I was set on having a particular steak and my wife elected to go with their "new" tasting menu. The service team ensured that the pace was good and aligned my wife's courses to fit well into my "shorter" dining course. Food quality and presentation was excellent! A slight miss on the "The Lips" dessert (we thought it would be more of a red velvet CAKE) but at that point we were so satisfied with the overall dinner it didn't really matter."

"I found every thing very good, I had Filet Mignon, it had a good almost crisp sear, and was cooked perfectly to my order of medium-rare, the seasoning was fairly simple, salt and maybe some pepper. I ordered Mac and Cheese, but bacon as my side, it was very good, and a large portion (I took most of it home), the Mac and Cheese was very rich, not something that I'd want to have every day, but for once in a while it was great. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken Confit, and was very happy with it it was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the skin was cooked to a nice crispness and was served on top of a small portion of mashed potatoes, and with a side of a wilted green (I think it was watercress). All was very good and would return."

"Very disappointing! This is a beautiful restaurant in an impressive hotel; beyond that it is overrated. The service was fair at best, we had to "signal" for service each time from any one of four servers who were taking care of us. We had caesar for two which was prepared at the table--nice presentation. We each ordered filet--the highest rated beef in Florida--very disappointing both in flavor and texture. My wife's filet was riddled with gristle and not flavorful. Cheesecake for dessert was nothing special.
Comparing to The Capitol Grille, the B&B could take a few lessons. And, if they want to claim the best beef in FL, they should do a better job in inspecting.
Will not return--Very Pricy!"

"My wife & I had a wonderful experience recently. The shrimp & grits were outstanding, especially since we were visiting from Louisiana. My wife had the Lobster Bisque, it was very good. We shared the steak for two, & had some left over. It was cooked to perfection.

"Wasn't impressed, lots of fat and tendons in my filet mignon, not what you expect from a $65 filet. Lobster bisque was not up to par, and short ribs were fatty and dry and needed some work to cut. Overrated. Great ambiance and decent cocktails and wine list."
