"I've never been to SA w/ out having the typical Mexican Food at a restaurant. So glad to see SA represent with a wonderful menu. Big fan if Chef Jason Dady. And our server, Vanessa, was friendly and made us feel like family! We found this place during the SA Cocktail conference & this time came for brunch. We'll definitely be back! (Esp for the goat cheese & pistachio pizza and made-to-order mozarella!) cheers!"

"The food was terrific, as would be expected from a Jason Dady restaurant. But the old building has horrible acoustics and the music overhead was much too loud to enjoy a nice dinner. When we asked to have it muted a bit, we were told it was louder because of a special event later that evening. However the event was not to be held until another 2 hours later, so that did not make sense. After several requests, the music was eventually turned down to a more pleasant level. Our server was sweet but inexperienced, and not as well-trained as I would have expected. Overall enjoyable, but not memorable."

"Absolutely loved the food! The location was charming! The only downside was that it is very loud in the dining room, we found ourselves yelling at each other a lot, but that is a very small downside."

"Lovely. The early seaing was great for my young family. Although no "kids menu" servers made simple accommodations for us and although fully adult size portions- everything was eaten by my 6/7 yr. old boys. Additionally they brought small balls of pizza dough and wine corks for "rollers" - kids loved it- and mom was grateful. Pasta was great. Pork chop perfectly cooked- and exceptionaly tastey. The only weak point were the cocktails. Neither of the signature drinks we ordered were very enjoyable - one too sweet, one really too plain. Wine list looked good."

"What a great place just steps from the river walk! The restaurants on the river walk are always crowded and the food is mediocre and overpriced. So, we went to street level and found Tre...it was amazing! I wanted to try everything on the menu. In the end, we got the pulled to order mozzarella, wagyu beef meatballs and pasta, and the pork chops. Every dish was so delicious! The mozzarella is a must try. I will definitely go here again the next time I'm in San Antonio."

"As a regular traveler, returning to a restaurant in an area by choice is rare. I could probably eat at Tre Trattoria every night, try something new, and have it be my new favorite thing on the menu. Both of my dining experiences there in the past week were wonderful. Each server suggested their own "favorite" dishes and were very educated on their menus. The Fettuccine and Duck Confit was superb. The Tuscan Farro Salad was amazing. You can tell that a lot of energy, effort, and emotion goes into the preparation of all of the dishes at Tre Trattoria."

"We went for Easter brunch. From the get-go the server was obviously uninterested in being there. We ordered a Bloody Mary and a bellini & got two Bloody Mary. Bar service was slow. It was hard to know why, as there were plenty of empty tables. We ordered the pasta from the kids menu and it was fine. Both of the salads we ordered were very good. I ordered the charcuterie and my husband ordered the soup. Both were 'meh'. The soup was missing something in it's execution. It was described as a bisque but wasn't like any bisque I've ever had before- thin in taste and texture. The salmon was extremely salty and the duck was overcooked. Creme brulee were in 2 different containers, one so big the dessert was 1/4 inch thick."

"We were there for valentines dinner. 3 of the 10 courses we did not even eat. One course we sent back and it came back Indifferent. Our waiter did not seem to care about our experience at all. I feel this was due to the fact that we were the last seated group and that he had a guaranteed 20% tip. At one point, he and others literally began to rearrange the restaurant, for I guess the following day. At one point he began shoving chairs around us without lifting the chair so it was making a horrific sound as it screeched across the floori!! Unbelievable!! Really?? So much for the romantic meal! My expectations were so high for Tre, as it is a place that us downtowners, brag about; unfortunately it was a huge disappointment .."

"I had friends in town from Boston, so we went to brunch at Tre Trattoria on a Saturday morning. Our reservations were at 11:30, and we were the first people there! This was a little surprising, but worked to our advantage. Since we were one of the first to dine, we received a complimentary appetizer of sausage with a molasses glaze and grilled cornbread - it was excellent!
I started with the bloody Mary, which was thick and delicious - a little spicy and had some "chew" to it, if that makes sense. The 3 of us ordered the chicken and waffles, the mozzarella stuffed meatball, and the green eggs and ham to share. Each dish was AMAZING! I don't think I can pick a favorite, as each was uniquely delicious. I high recommend Tre Trattoria!"

"Stopped here for dinner with four other friends. We were in town for a conference and happened upon this place since it was close to the hotel and we were apprehensive about finding a good river walk restaurant at 8pm Friday night. The place was a great find! I don't know why it wasn't packed, but I was glad. We all enjoyed celebrating National Margarita Day with their grapefruit margarita- highly recommended. All of us enjoyed our main meal, I enjoyed the cauliflower ravioli. None of us tried dessert. This is a great place!"

"This would be rated much higher had we not come in at 1:45 and things were obvioulsy closing down. Waiters were busy resetting after a large event and obviously getting ready to go off shift. We waited quite awhile for bill and longer for change. Not pleasant."

"Located right next to La Villita in San Antonio. Disappointed with the home made pulled mozzarella. Tough and without much taste. Dinner was good, but not outstanding. Pricey for the quality. Good wine list."
