"This is the place we think of when we want a good steak, and want to go out! It is a 'Strip' restaurant we go to at least once a year!
The spinach salad is great, but difficult to choose it over the wild mushroom salad! One main problem - they took the molten lava cake off the dessert menu; although that just makes it easier not to have dessert! Too bad, though, it was a super ending to a meal!"

"Gallagher's in the New York New York Casino is like a lot of signature resturants. Overrated and over priced food. With service that seemed to be really good. Course, delivering food to the table that is not really hot (luke warm at the best) seems to be contrary to what really good service should be. The prime rib was not bad, but we have had better at way less money."

"There were 4 of us dinning and we all said it was the best steak we have ever tasted and we have eaten steak in a lot of restaurant all over the world. Service was fantastic waiters were friendly very helpful in explaining the specials. Would definatly go back."

"The food and service were great. There were private tables, but because we were a party of 2, we were seated along a side, very close to other parties of two (think Cheesecake Factory set up). Not the best set up for a 'romantic' dinner. Overall, the dining room was tightly packed and a little loud. But the food was well worth it and they even brought out a complimentary ice cream dessert in a martini glass for my birthday. Price was reasonable for the food quality and being on the Strip."

"This was our first visit and we were not disappointed. Service was excellent as were the steaks which were on a par with Gordon Ramsay's where we visited a couple of nights previously.
We were in and out within an hour which suits us perfectly as we tend to hit and run rather than linger over a meal. However it wouldn't have been a problem if we had wanted to take our time.
I am sure we will return."

"I was disappointed with the freshness of the food (steak, potato and mushrooms). I felt they were pre-prepared and served well under recommended serving temperatures. I found that was the biggest disappointment for the price.
Further we sat in a smaller room of the main restaurant that had below average acoustics. The service was fine."

"The food and service were very good and we thoroughly enjoyed our dinner. My bad for not asking what the "market price" was for surf and turf. The filet was on the menu for $45 which means the large lobster tail was $80! I consider that outrageous but I know I could have asked. I expected it to be in the $40 - $50 range based on the menu. Expensive lesson learned."

"We had a group over 6 people there. Since there's an automatic 18% tip for 6 or more people, we felt like the service was not good. We didn't get our drinks and waited forever for our food. "Great food, decent prices. Good service. Only complaint is the noise factor. But it's to be expected with the location. Don't go here if you're out on a romantic date. Find a quieter place. You can't hear your own conversations. Good for larger gatherings."

"We went after the Zumanity show. The place was packed and our table was in an awkward spot by the kitchen. Our waiter was absent most of the evening, and when he was at the table, he was rude. The signature sirloin is criminally overpriced. There are much better steakhouses on the strip."

"In all honesty, for the price, I was expecting much much more. I ordered my steak rare and it was definitely rare, but there was so much of a salt rub on the meat that the flavor barely came through and it was not nearly as juicy as one would expect. I had a better time eating steak back home in the midwest when considering the price. My boyfriend had the same issues with his steak and also noted his green bean side dish to be overseasoned with garlic which killed the vegetable taste."

"I was offended by the restaurant's efforts to encourage my group to leave. I was providing a dinner for Honda Dealers from 7 states. Within 15 minutes of finishing my desert, a bus boy came by and aggressively started clearing the table, reaching over and around my guests. Then, the manager came by, intoducing himself and explained that he had a large dinner party that needed to be seated. He was cold and firm, making me very uncomfortable. I will not be returning to gallagher's or recommending them to any of my associates."

"We were treated terribly by restaurant management. We had a reservation for 10 people, but got shuffled into the overflow space, down the corridor from the main restaurant, past some service entrance, into a room with no ambiance and no washroom. When I complained to the manager, Mr. English, he suggested it was my fault for not insisting we be in the main room. That meal was the only poor portion of our Vegas trip."
