Aubriana"s is a unique and exciting restaurant whose melting pot American dishes, such as blackened lamb lollipops featuring mouthwatering tender lamb cut off the rack and served with a delcious jalepeno mint gastrique, are sure to keep even the most refined appetites satiated. Other popular dishes include Chef Alexander's Sunburst Mahi directly from our coast's waters and the Veal Chop Saltimboca, which has garnered such praise as the best cut of meat in town.
We pride ourselves in the fact that all of our sauces and deserts are made to order. Among the Chef's specialty desserts, look for limoncello sorbet, volcano island cake, and the unrivaled double chocolate peanut butter pie. Expect to spend $17 to $30 for dinner.
"We went for the Mother's Day brunch. The food was incredible as usual, but the service was excruciatingly slow for no apparent reason (it was not that crowded). The waitress was unfriendly and seemed put out to have to serve us. We have been there several times in the past but probably will not return."

"Hank was our waiter and is an asset to this establishment ; the service was excellent. Our party of four ordered steaks and chops and were served perfectly done, no complaints. The restaurant is airy and ecclectic and I will definitely return again."

"we went to Aubriana's for my birthday, wanting to have a special night out... I was very disappointed! There was absolutely no ambiance, no background music..no pretty tables...The service was so slow...it took us (4) almost 2 1/2 hours . The food was good, but nothing special! Had to pay for parking!.. most restaurants give a free desert to someone for a special occasion..No, but they did put a candle on the desert I ordered and paid for... don't bother...too many Really good, nice places with a lot more to offer"

"I still can't get over $26 chicken no matter who raised it but that's another story. Surprised that both smoking and dogs were allowed on patio dining; that definately took away from the entire experience. Their shrimp & grits special was as good as it gets. Very good service; Morgan was a sweetheart. $20 corkage fee was about right."

"We had reviewed the menu ahead of going to Aubriana's...and expected a very nice dinner. However, the experience exceeded our expectations. Our service was excellent...and the food was creative and well executed. We travel and eat out a lot...and are not often as impressed as we were with this experience. We chose to eat outside, and were fortunate to have great weather to enjoy. The outdoor tables and chairs are casual (the interior of the restaurant is more upscale), but the food was anything but casual."

"The food was excellent. With a group of 4 we all had different appetizers, entrees, and desserts. Sampled them all and everything was excellent. The Lamp lollipops and the filet were exceptional. The chicken and the short ribs were great as well. All of the desserts were unique, tasted great and had a great presentation. The service was not bad but a little lacking that is the only reason I did not rate this experience 5 stars. Will deffinately go to Aubriana's again!!!"

"While I was satisfied with my portion of food, my husband needed more. His filet was tiny, and the sides of potatoes and asparagus were minimal. We shared bread and two apps, but my man was not satisfied when we left.
Our server, an older gentleman named Hank, was good, but we waited entirely too long for fresh drinks. I would be more forgiving of this had I not watched him bus a table then reset it very slowly while I waited with an empty glass. Two actually, my cocktail and my water glasses. He was nice, but I expect much better service in a finer dining establishment.
On a more positive note, we loved the lambchop lollipops! Be sure not to miss out on them!"

"On the plus side, we had a great window table and enjoyed our wine and people watching, and our server was knowledgeable about the menu and wine list and was most pleasant. But after our first wonderful dinner there several months ago, I'm sorry to say we were disappointed this time. We shared the crabmeat tart as an appetizer (tasty but overly fishy smelling), Caesar salad (terrific), and each had seafood entrees -- shrimp with risotto, which was good if somewhat bland, and a special of snapper (I think) with a Cajun risotto, which was nicely spiced but again overly fishy. I'm sure we'll go back eventually but not for seafood based on this experience...."

"Food was good; choices are really unique. We had a terrible table right out in the middle of things, and it was noisy. Our service was VERY SLOW. Our server was fabulous, but the kitchen was backed up for some reason. When a group waits, and waits, and waits, a free dessert or similar goodie to be offered. This is our second time there; questionable we'll return."

"I really expected more. The server was reading the specials like he had never heard them before. The table was uneven so much that my drink would off balance it. The food was excellent but I have a problem that much for food and not being full at the end of the meal."

"Great place to have a nice dinner in downtown Wilmington. Fantastic old building. Great service. Decent wine selection. It is a little pricy. If you go whole hog (appetizer, salad, entree, bottle of wine and dessert) then prepare for a ~$200 bill at the end (3 - 4 people).
Yelp has this place listed as casual attire which was surprising to me. I would classify this place as hipster casual. Blue jeans with a jacket kind of place. Dress up if you want. Show up in shorts if you must.
If you are use to high end steak houses then I would recommend getting something else. The filet mignon was cook perfectly but was very small. For $30 bucks I would have expected it to be larger and more seasoned. Still, I would highly recommen"

"This was the second time we had eaten here. Although pricey the food was so good we went back again. This time we were disappointed. The Salmon tasted fishy and not like fresh or even fresh frozen salmon. The filet was tender but uninspiring. The server appeared over extended and not on par with the pricing. Meal for 4 with 2 glasses of wine, 3 ice teas, 1 salad, 4 entrees and no dessert came to about $160 with tip.
At first the restaurant was noisey with background music, then just with the noise of the guests alone. Brick interior walls and hardwood floors. Looks nice but resonants badly.
I have other local favorites for this price point and less that are more consistant. PS This was a holiday weekend."

"We were disappointed as our first time (New Year's Eve) was so good. Biggest problem was slowness of meal prep and service, perhaps due to a small kitchen? My trout was ok, but for the price and lackluster taste, was not a selection I would order again. My husband's salmon was mediocre and, again, lackluster. We did not order dessert but did order two cappucinos. We were told the machine was slow, but we said that was ok. By the time it was served, both cups were cold and not anything like a cappucino should taste. We asked to have them heated up in the microwave, probably a mistake but at least it made them drinkable. We suggest they stop offering cappucino. We hope this was just an off night. We want the restaurant to succeed."

"We arrived on-time and were seated. There was no crowd in fact we were the only couples in the restaurant for about 20 mins. Our waiter ( I think his name wa Hank) was very pleasant and patience. He made some very good recommendations which turned out to be excellent. Our food was well prepared, and delicious. The wine was smooth with no aftertaste. We will come back."

"The food was alright. The crab dip apitizer was the best. I ordered the steak special. It was a decent steak but they way over charged me for it. It was almost double the cost of the filet mignon. Maybe they should state the costs of the specials when they tell them to you."

"Loved the atmosphere with the brick walls! Food was good, but not outstanding as I had expected from the person who recommended the restaurant. Pricey and small portions. The salmon was prepared perfectly, the green beans were very flavorful, however the mashed potatoes were plain, and the dish lacked a sauce to tie it all together. Crab cakes were tasty, although small."

"Everything was perfect except the food. I had a steak that was dried out, like it had been frozen then thawed out. When you are paying a more than fair price for beef, i don't think it should taste that way. My vegetables nothing special either. I don't know maybe the kitchen was stressed because it was Valentine's Day."

"This was our first time at Aubriana's and it was a distinctly mixed experience. The service started off with the cockatils not being made with the correct ingredients because they did not have white creme de menthe and thought using green would be OK (without asking). The appetisers were absolutely outstanding and we would consider dropping in for appetisers and wine any time. The entrees were OK but my steak with shrimp was disappointing because the steak was just warm and the shrimp were cool to say the least. Overall the service was adequate and the deficiencies noted by other reviewers were noted by us also."

"We came to this restaurant for the food and were very disappointed. We both had the duck confit. Duck Confit is usually duck legs preserved in duck fat. When prepared properly, the meat falls off the bone and is moist and tender to eat. This duck meat required a steak knife to cut it off the bone and was dry with very little taste. The only good element of the dinner was a generous glass of Spanish Grenache. Perhaps the other menu items were better and we just had a bad choice. It is an otherwise attractive restaurant with good service."

"My husband and I took a trip to Wilmington, NC for my birthday and decided on Aubriana's because of their lamb appetizer. From beginning to end, had a wonderful experience. Our waitress was prompt but not intrusive, and the delivery of food was well timed - i neither felt rushed or impatient. We split the lamb lollipops w/ mint&jalapeno gastrique for an appetizer. Good size starter for two (two pops each) with the bread served. I had the duck confit for the main corse, and my husband the osso buco. Wonderful! Both were served with the tastiest grits we've ever had, and my side veggies were a bright, acidic pop paired with the duck. The only negative I can speak of, was our table was fairly close to another couple, which was distracting."

"Looking for a new place to celebrate my birthday I chose Abriana's on reviews alone. There were 4 in my party and non of us were thrilled with our experience. The cocktails were good, but that was pretty much that. The service was severely lacking as I judge a place as much on food as I do service. I don't think she ever told us her name (my husband says she did but he couldn't tell me what it was.) She never smiled and was in need of purchasing and using a hairbrush. My duck was sent back as it was over cooked. My vegan friend had one item from the appetizer list to choose from, a salad. Though they replaced my duck with the crab & lobster cake, I was still eating while everyone else was long finished. Not a fun birthday for m"

"A wonderful little restaurant with great food and service. I have only two complaints...I ordered a gin martini that I thought was weak.....and,...it was a cold night and our table was by the door...(I was glad I had a warm sweater). We loved the fried oyster appetizer and the filet mignon was delicious...portions were perfect. Last,...the tiramisu....nom..nom...nom... :)"
