"Great deal for the price. Moderate prices. Good food. Friendly service. In the heart of Chelsea. How can you go wrong. Beet Salad was amazing. Steaks were good. Wine was not expensive."

"A very good French place in the center of it all in Chelsea. Salads were particularly well made and I'm sure I'll return for the fried artichoke one."

"A great French bistro and place to meet friends. The food is great, the staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very cozy. A gem in the middle of Chelsea, well-worth checking out."

"Our waitress was mediocre at best. It took forever to get her attention and when we asked for cream or half & half (for coffee), she insisted that they had none. Maybe she was right, but if that's the case, that is pretty lame for a French restaurant. But her service was shockingly bad, which is why I did not give a higher rating.
The host was very good, however."

"If you don't mind the cacophony of the bar, the mussels, frites and beet salad are lovely. Also close to subway. Makes a great meeting place prior to Atlantic Theatre or Joyce."

"As always, a marvelous food and wine experience. This is about as authentic as you can get in NYC or anywhere outside of France. The Tripe a Ma Facon was dreamlike; rich and peppery in a velvety brown sauce, with perfectly braised vegetables. Do not miss this gem!"

"This has to be our 5 or 6th visit and we like it more and more. The service is well-intentioned, but spotty. It would seem the only requirement for serving is speaking perfect French and fractured English. Still, the over-all experience is warm & charming. Many of the servers are characters in themselves, although rarely do we see them twice. Very good French, but not 'fussy' French food, which is fine by me. Favorite dish is the steak tartare and frites."

"Good food, good service, nice Paris Bistro feel. Noise level is too high. A little Edith Piaf or Charles Aznavour might be ok but the heavy music makes it necessary to shout to be heard."

"This is a great French bistro in Chelsea. Food is great, as is the service and the atmosphere is directly from Paris. It's deserves a high place on the "lets do bistro list""

"I hadn't been to the Green Monkey for years and was reluctant to return based on the recent reviews. However, we had a lovely lunch of foie gras followed by cassoulet Cheerful, attentive service (and three bottles of wine) rounded out the experience. I'll be back"
