"We went for the Mother's day brunch. We had to wait almost 1/2 hour even with reservations, valet is not complimentary and the brunch menu was small. The view made up for the slow service, tight quarters (bumped into people behind you trying to get up from table each time) and loud ambience. I've been there off times as well and that is still par for the course. The food was very good but I thought overall this place is somewhat overpriced, even for the awesome view."

"My favorite place in So.Fla. to sit out and be treated royally without the snobbery to go with. Lobster hummus and lobster Mac n Cheese were both yummy. View is fab. Next they should have comp. passes for the pier when you pay your check! I love sitting outside here. The service is top notch and the drinks great."

"The restaurant sits by the beach in Deerfield. Sitting on the patio is what Florida is all about. The views are beautiful. The food is always excellent. The dinner menu has many interesting selections. We had one of the specialities of the night- a wonderful fish dish with a butter wine sauce topped with shrimp. The fish was perfectly prepared and full of flavor. The only minus was there was too much sauce surrounding the fish and on the plate. The firecracker shrimp appetizer was a spicy delight. "The first time i went i wasnt that impressed (server got our order wrong and we had to wait 30 more minutes for our meal). But i thought i would gve it another try. I am very impressed with my second visit. Staff was very friendly and knowledgable. The view is gorgeous, perfect for a romantic dinner. The food came out very quickly this time and it was beyond delicious. I would definately recmmend this restaurant!"

"The food was pricey for what we got. I had the swordfish with salsa and it was nothing special. My husband had the pasta with shrimp which was good but not great. If you like bread with your meal forget it they "don't do bread", but to be fair when my husband asked for bread the waiter did bring some bread used for bruschetta. The waiter was really nice and well trained."

"Food was good. Service was quick but not attentive. The end result was unfortunate as the server was given a gift card issued by the restaurant and we were told the card had a 0 balance and could not be used. Since I was the one that purchased the $100 gift card for someone else I knew this could not be true. After much discussion, the server brought it to management who then realized their computer had made an error due to some glitch. It was very embarrassing and I told the manager had I given the certificate to the original intended recipient and the servers inability to verify the computer system with management beforehand would havd embarrassed me and the recipient,

"I realize this may be petty, but when one spends over $120 on dinner for two including a bottle of wine and a shared dessert, one would maybe expect the restaurant to bring a basket/plate bread or rolls as do most places. Our waiter was great but only offered an apology, saying they - ahem - don't have bread. Otherwise, the meal was above average, as was the service. Although I've been coming to this area for about 20 years, this was my first time to Oceans. I appreciate being able to get seated on the patio for a nice view of the ocean."

"Our waiter is from Colombia and seemed frazzled or distracted. He took our order in stages. Did not ask about entree's until we were well done with our appetizers. This was ok, for we were not in any hurry. Seemed as if the restaurant was not able to accomodate the large group next to us who kept on growing in size and requested a larger table. Small restaurant with not a lot of tables. Reservations are a must. Bar was busy, but crowded. No parking, only valet. Food was excellent from the simple dishes to the extravagant. Nice view of the beach, but table too close to sidewalk where everyone can lean over to see your meal. I'd return and recommend. Prices are a bit expensive."

"asked and received a waterfront table with Jeff as our attentive sderver. half our party arrived late due to bridge openings, but jeff kept the half who were there very content with drinks, and answering questions. "Having been many times to this great restaurant, we were disappointed in the service for this visit. We ordered brunch at 11:30 and our food arrived at 12:20. We ordered an omelet and French toast.
The restaurant was not particularly busy when we arrived though it did fill up with large parties around noon.
My husband's omelet was delicious. The French toast that I had would have been very good had the toast not been raisin. I'm not a fan of raisins and the menu did not disclose that the French toast had raisins.
As always, the outdoor vibe was excellent."

"This is our 4th visit to Oceans 234 since January. The food is excellent and view is fantastic. The grilled pompano special was delicious as was the Filet Mignon. Veggies are always fresh and properly done. On a previous visit we had the snapper and sushi - both were great. One thing that could use improvement is that the martinis are not well chilled and this time the blue cheese olives were super salty and we didn't love the blue cheese. Reservations are strongly recommended especially if you want to get a good outside table. Overall we love Oceans 234 and will return!"

"We had reservations, but they were so busy that we never saw our waitress, we did have two other waiters..that teamed up to help. All I can say is I hope they pulled the tips because in my case they should of.
The food is great...don't miss the calamari...best in South Florida!"

"We were running late and the restaurant was very accommodating and the hostess was lovely. We requested outside seating by the sea but it was a bit chilly and very windy even though the restaurant had attractive heaters spread throughout. So far, the restaurant did everything they could to give us an enjoyable evening. Then, sadly no waiter appeared, I finally went to the bar to get drinks (great bartender). When our waiter finally came we ordered right away as we had our 10 year old in tow. It took over 40 minutes to get our meal (no appetizers, bread or salads) despite asking several servers to check on things. We never saw our waiter once during this time and I finally tracked him down inside, he brought our food--it was so so."

"Located right on the beach, this restaurant offers beautifully presented very fresh imaginatively prepared food. It's one of our favorite restaurants for lunch. Its energetic noise level and youthful bar crowd rule it out for me in the evening, but it seems quite popular then as well."

"Food was NOT good.. it's overpriced because of the location (gorgeous view of the beach and ocean, and right next to JB's On The Beach). The sushi was ok, but the rolls didn't have as much fish as I'd expect elsewhere. Pass on the dolphin sandwich! It's frozen fish and then they overcook it so it's dry and chewy. The desserts aren't anything special either. The lava cake just had some fudgy consistency in the middle, and did not 'flow' like lava. They definitely do not make their desserts in house. The only thing good were the cocktails, but they are a little on the weak side. It's a good place to take out-of-towners because of the location, but maybe just for drinks, unless you aren't picky about food quality."

"This one of the few places almost on the sand. a side walk separates the outdoor seating from the sand and beach. the food is MUCH better than JB's next door. and has better valet parking (IMHO). (JB's has the better bar scene)
Service was just ok. the next table's waiter was very loud. almost funny he was so loud. our server was pleasant. took a while to get drinks, and no glass for my beer? at these prices, you should offer a chilled glass. -regardless, this is the best spot for a somewhat quiet view of the ocean, and very good food.
-just be warned on holiday weekends, or other peak times, this place can be jammed.
I'll be back."
