"My parents and I went here for Mother's Day brunch on Sunday. We were very impressed by the whole experience. There have been many times when we've gone out for a holiday and the service or food have been mediocre. That was not the case here. Our waiter was friendly and accommodating. We were not rushed through our meal. The food was fantastic and reasonable priced, as well. The three of us agreed that we'd come back here again and are curious to try their dinner as well."

"Bistro Garden has been one of my favorites for many years. It has a beautiful ambiance - like being in a garden with plants and twinkle lights. The bar has the world's best Greyhounds, made only with freshly squeezed grapefruit juice, and a great cocktail menu. The service is always excellent - you are never rushed, nor are you looking around wondering what happened to your waiter. Live music is provided by a great pianist who plays classics, standards and Broadway. Very pleasant, never intrusive.
Mauricio, the maitre d', is warm and welcoming.
We've always treated Bistro Garden like an "occasion" restaurant, but we've decided to visit more frequently. We'll just have a drink and appetizers and listen to the music."

"Went for a 90th Birthday dinner & the service was very spotty & even though we were assured that the restaurant would setup some neat things, etc they did nothing & we even had to remind them it was a birthday!
Food was ok, but again nothing to write home about
Considering that this was supposed to be the most beautiful restaurant in the San Fernando Valley, again we did not think so.

"We brought my mother here to celebrate her 84th birthday. What a fantastic night. The service was extraordinary, the food was absolutely amazing. The whitefish is the best I've ever had, the tuna tartar is divine and the beet and burata salad was impeccable. Follow that with the most perfect chocolate souffle ever!! Definitely our favorite restaurant. A huge thank you to everyone for making the night a magical celebration."

"I typically do not write reviews about restaurants, but this was one of this worst dining experiences I have had. My boyfriend and I ate here becasue we were given a gift card. The food was ok, nothing to write home about but the service was AWFUL. The hosstess never gave us menus, our waiter never checked on us, and we had to flag him down to order. We had to stop the manager and other servers in order to order a bottle of wine, order our food, return the wrong drinks, and to get our check. We had spoken with the manager to tell him how poor the service was and he was slighlty applogetic but did nothing to remedy the situation. We spoke with our server to tell him how disappointed we were and he didnt appear to care at all."

"I think the gorgeous space is what's keeping Bistro Garden afloat, because it isn't the food or the service. You can get a very similar meal at Cafe Bizou for nearly half the price. However, the setting at Bistro Garden is worth experiencing once."

"The presentation of the food was lovely. The taste of the lamb chops and veal chop of among the best we have eaten. Service was warm, friendly and excellent. The main dinning area is like a huge garden area, hence the name. We are looking forward to a return very soon."

"I HAVE BEEN TO THE BISTRO GARDEN MANY TIMES AND THIS TIME ON VALENTINES DAY WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS. THE ATOMOSPHERE IS VERY SPECIAL AND ROMANTIC. DIM LIGHTING, HIGH CEILINGS WITH TINY LIGHTS IN THE TREES AS IF YOU WERE OUTDOORS. SOFT PIANO PLAYING IN THE BACKGROUND. THE SERVICE WAS GOOD EVEN ON VALENTINES DAY. WE ORDERED FROM A PRE FIXED MENU. THE BEEF WELLINGTON WAS EXCELLENT, AND THE SALMON WAS GREAT AS WELL. THEY HAVE GREAT CHOCOLATE SOUFFLE FOR DESSERT WHICH WAS DEVINE. THEY ARE GENERALLY VERY CONSISTENT WITH THEIR FOOD AND SERVICE AND IT IS ONE OF THE FEW RESTAURANTS RUN WITH MUCH CLASS AND ELEGANCE LIKE FANCY RESTUARANTS USED TO BE. "We had brunch last Sunday. The food was okay. My steak was overcooked. I ordered medium rare and it came well done and pretty tough for a filet mignon. It was seasoned well. My wife had the eggs Benedict with salmon and she said it tasted good. The service was great and so was the ambiance."
