"focused menu - that is, it has the main items you would look for at a brunch, all on a one page menu. our reservation was between middle and end of brunch schedule which may have been why they were out of a few items (no more french toast, no more quiche). everything was tasty and enjoyed by all in our 7 person (children and adults) gathering."

"The Loft at Trader's Point is a scenic stop; but the food was cold and late. The server seemed enthusiastic, but there is no reason to wait 10 minutes for coffee or 30 minutes for breakfast fare. The outdoor balcony was very nice; but I wonder if the servers pay much attention to outdoor diners. The restaurant was not full; I wonder if the kitchen staff are just slow at cooking or lack the equipment for rapid service. In any case, a disappointing experience."

"This is one of my favorite places, with very fresh food. I'd like to see some berry-related desserts.
Some Cons:
If you eat outside off of the loft, the Eastern-most seating has a loud vent from the kitchen next to it. General the cooking smell is good, but most would rather smell their food. Hopefully they'll relocate this with the expansion of outdoor seating underway. The patio seating looks nice available during the summer, which is a long way from the restaurant. Often animals (and resulting patties) can be smelled, as this is a farm. I'm not sure what solution there is to this with the outdoor seating, and especially for the new section that's right on top of the animals. Hopefully they can figure something out."

"I have been to The Loft several times over the past couple of years and have always had a great experience. Almost everything on the menu is either grown/raised at the farm or is from somewhere local. The portions are good (not small enough that you need an appetizer and not big enough that you know you'll be taking some home) and the prices are fair. I'm not sure if it was due to the weather or season or something like that, but my only complaint from this visit was the menu was much, much smaller than my last visit. Not very much to choose from."

"This is our family choice for a special occasion brunch. Just outside of town enough to capture the rural feel. Traditional food but with a special twist. French toast was made from cinnamon swirl bread and topped with strawberries, just delicious. Very capable and friendly serving staff.. We were neither rushed nor crowded. We could actually talk to one another as the restaurant noise level is diffused by open air. Well worth a short drive for a very pleasant experience."

"Absolutely love everything about this place! We've been a couple of times and the food is incredible. We love that they keep everything local and organic, many times right from their own grounds. The service is great and no matter how busy it seems the food comes out so quickly. Our kids love the whole experience. It's fancy food and a great ambiance that totally accommodates children! Plus there's the option to wonder around the grounds before or after you eat and see pigs, chickens, cows. The restaurant and grounds are beautiful!"

"My wife and I visited this place on May 5th of 2013. It was the first time we've tried anything like this, and we were both thoroughly impressed. The food came out quickly, it was hot, and of course FRESH! She had a burger and some great pepper potato chips. I tried the bacon potato omlett. We both enjoyed our food, and tried eachothers, and liked eachothers as well. This will be a place that we will return to."

"The Loft at Traders Point was outstanding and my family will definitely be back soon! The food was delicious and the service was great. The restaurant is in an old barn, which looks amazing. Also, they have fresh ice cream and a little market attached where you can buy fresh dairy, meats, etc. After our meal, we went for a walk around the grounds to see the cows and landscaping. It was a really nice, relaxing atmosphere all around."

"Sometimes really healthy food can be tasteless, not at TPC! Even though under construction for more space and bigger kitchen, place was full and everyone seemed very happy, I know we were! Even though we were on a beef and cheese farm, my scollops and daughters Salmon were as good as we have ever had.....anywhere.....and we travel to the coasts and beyond, so non beef eaters don't be afraid to try it, you will not be disappointed!"

"I've been told by multiple people that I should go try The Loft. They were right. The food was fantastic, the service was prompt and polite. Would that all restaurants could be as great as this one. If they ask you after your meal if you'd like a strawberry milkshake, just say yes. They apparently had just gotten some fresh strawberries, and the shake was the best I've ever had anywhere."

"Although you can see the Indianapolis skyline through the trees, coming to The Loft is like visiting a classic small Hoosier dairy farm with wonderful organic food. Often you can see the dairy herd from which your fare probably came, grazing on the hill. The menu isn't huge but the selections are varied and unique. The home made cheeses and ice cream are delectable. Don't miss the spicy macaroni and cheese. If you have kids and the time ask if you can walk around the outside and see the cows and maybe the calves if you're there at the right time. It's only seven minutes from the westside I-465 beltway; but you'll feel like you're a hundred miles from urbanity."

"I have been wanting to try this place for awhile because of the organic fare and locally sourced meats and vegetables. We were very happy with our choice and we are both critical foodies. My husband had the filets and I had the quinoa cakes. Both were bursting with flavor and prepared to perfection. We would have liked to sample more homemade cheeses with our wine without filling up on a cheese plate appetizer. The chocolate cake had a different texture that although good, we would not recommend. The server was very knowledgable about the food and drink selections and the acoustic guitars playing were perfect ambiance for date night! We unanimously agreed we would be back!"

"Both of had the elk; while it was very lean, it was also a bit sinewy on the edges and tougher to cut than I have had in the past elsewhere. I enjoyed the kale on the side, done nicely but not soft like overdone spinach. Had the small cheeseplate as an appetizer; continues to be a huge treat, with a solid variety of both soft and hard cheeses in a perfect plating for two. Ambiance as always fabulous; our only comment was that we were initially seated at the very first table right at the top of the stairs and immediately next to the concierge station despite having several open two-person settings on the outer walls with a view. Upon request, however, our request to move was granted. Next time, we'll stay with the steak!"

"The loft is a wonderful place for dinner. It has great ambiance for a romantic dinner, yet it is comfortable/casual. The food is some of the best in the city. I had the beef for the first time and it literally melted in my mouth. Their cheese selesctions are very special as is their wine list. I love showing off this restaurant to friends who come into the city."

"This was my first visit to Trader's Point Creamery and I was bringing my two best friends who traveled from out of town to visit. They live in great cities with a lot of choices and unique places to eat. I was looking for something unique but comfortable and something that would be new for them. I got exactly what I was hoping for at Trader's Point Creamery. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was fantastic. My best friends loved the experience and were impressed with the great places to go in "my town." Thanks!"

"The Loft is beautiful, I love the beauty of the old barn and could totally move right in! Our server was great. She knew the menu and was very attentive. The food however was just average and honestly a bit pricey for what was on the plate. 3 scallops for $28 & $9 for a kale salad that was the equivalent of 2 kale leaves is simply too high. I get the farm to fork/ eat local concept and want to support those restaurants that do it but I also don't want to blow my entertainment budget on one dining experience. For that reason The Loft isn't going to be a regular on my list of locally owned and operated restaurants."

"While busy, they were able to seat us with our OpenTable reservation promptly. We enjoyed they're Bloomy Puff appetizer. Our entrees were the Quinoa cakes and the Rib-eye. Both of which were most excellent. All of which was washed down by a nice bottle of syrah."

"As always the food at Trader's Point Creamery is of the best in the whole Indianapolis area!! Service is always top notch, but Kyle is always our favorite waiter as he has a passion for food and knows every detail of ingredients, preparation technique and taste!! The entire team there is awesome though and you will be delighted by anyone there!! We had apple pie and ice cream for desert that was over the top!! It was our 26th wedding anniversary and we love to celebrate many of our special occassions there. I have held group dinners there as well and my team thinks I'm the greatest for taking them there!! We love Trader's point Creamery!!"

"The Loft is very nice and the food was pretty good. I came for brunch and the menu wasn't large but the burger I had was top notch. My family got some of their St. Patrick's Day Irish samples and those dishes had great flavor also. Their dinner menu looks even better so i hope come back soon."

"First visit. Had the north side nights menu. I got the pork shoulder, tasted OK but dry for a shoulder roast. The other meal was chicken. It came undercooked 2 times, still pink in middle. They did the right thing and comped the meal and gave her a free dessert. Other aspects of the dinner were OK but not good enough to make me want to go back."

"Perhaps my expectations were too high but for the most part I felt the meal was a bit of a disappointment. While good, it was not outstanding and bordered on what I would call plain. The farm-raised chicken, was somewhat dry and not overly tender. It also needed more seasoning to my discerning palette. The fresh green salad with beets and candied walnuts was indeed outstanding and the white wine, excellent. I also enjoyed the homemade vanilla ice cream, very creamy with a strong taste of vanilla. We were participating Indy's Northside Nights and it was husband's 62nd birthday. If I had to pay the regular pricing, I would choose to go elsewhere."

"We were simply delighted with everything about our recent visit to The Loft at Traders Point... our server was so nice and extremely knowledgeable about the menu, the food was amazing, we unexpectedly got 50% off our bottle of wine (I'm guessing it was a discount day) and there was even a sweet kitty to greet us at the door when we arrived! We tried the Northside Nights prix fixe (our first visit) but will be back very soon to try regular dinner and brunch items. Not a single thing we could complain about, which is unheard of (well, OK, it'll be nice when the construction is over, but such a minor thing)."

"This was our first trip to The Loft (3/15/13) and we were very excited. Although, overall, we had a very nice evening, our server was not attentive. Each trip to our table was as if it were the first time he was speaking to us. He forgot that we had already ordered and was very slow. Finally, another server ran our drinks and eventually our entrees to the table. Service was very disappointing to what was an otherwise very nice evening."

"Nice unique atmosphere. Our waiter was attentive; however we were not even greeted when we walked into the store downstairs which was really awkward. My husband enjoyed the Indiana Chicken entree and I had the vegetable linguine with braised greens. The greens were good, but I did not think the linguine was worth the high price given that I could easily make something more flavorful at home for less. I also wish they gave out bread to enjoy while waiting for your food or to enjoy with your entree. Overall, I would say that this is a place worth checking out at least once, as the barn itself is really stunning."

"An amazing Restaurant from the hostess that is always smilling as she greats you at the front, to the amazing food and the wine list. Local organic produce is everywhere in the menu, home made Berry pies, homemade ice cream, and grass fed beef!!
The service is fantastic and the ambiance awesome! A hidden gem for sure. Coming from California, this was a wonderful surprise. Finding the restaurant tucked in a small country road, with a 4 Star all around feeling...We give it a 10!!!"
