"We celebrated a wedding anniversary at Scapa, and it did feel special! I had alerted them to the fact that it was a special occasion, and we were seated at one of their "private" tables that have curtains on all sides! That was a lot of fun in itself. The food was excellent, except for some seriously undercooked asparagus that I ended up taking home to finish the cooking. My husband had a baked pasta dish that was plentiful and delicious. My salmon was finished with lemon, artichoke hearts and capers, and cooked perfectly. The service was excellent despite it being a Saturday night. They surprised us with a beautiful and very tasty tiramisu for dessert, compliments of the house. A truly enjoyable experience!"

"I had Scapa's baked cavatelli and it was awesome!!! Love the updated menu and wine list. The staff is always friendly and prompt. You can really tell that the new owners take pride in their restaurant. They've done an amazing job taking Scapa's to the next level. I wish that I could give Scapa's six stars!!!"

"Food was spot-on Italian, and a very good value. We had a group ranging in age from 60 to 3 years old, and they handled our table without a problem. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, from appetizers to entrees."

"First time there, definitely not the last! Loved the food, loved the service, and loved the 'cabin' they put us in! Romantic and felt like we were totally alone! And the hostess was so nice to come over and talk to us for a few minutes after our meal. She was very sweet and we loved the personal treatment! Can't wait to go back!"

"We had another awesome dinner at Scapa's. The service is outstanding. Our food was fantastic. They have a great wine list too. I love the fact that you can count on their consistency. It's always a home run. Scapa's is by far the best Italian restaurant in the Western Suburbs. Keep up the awesome work!!!"

"I love this place! Excellent food! Very comfortable. On this occasion we brought 3 people who have traveled the world & they were very pleased with the food and overall experience. We really enjoyed our evening! I had the blackened sea bass. It was probably one of the best meals I have ever had in my life!"

"I've been to Scapa frequently, and have usually leave feeling satisfied with the experience. This time, however, I was very disappointed by the food. We had a group of people, and all of us agreed that the food wasn't as good as it used to be. I don't want to debate how a sauce or other item should taste, but I don't think the quality of flavors were any better than places that cost significantly less.
I was also a bit concerned by the hostess stand. When we arrived, no one was at the stand, and even though several people who worked at the restaurant walked by, none of them said "someone will be with you in just a moment" or anything similar. Turns out one of the hostesses (blond) was chatting with her friends at the bar."

"Last time we were there the food was excellent! This time the pasta was mushy and the sauce tasted like tomato paste out of a can. They did offer to take it off our bill. However, the live music in the bar was great! It's a fun environment."

"Good variety of reasonably priced Italian dishes. Fresher tasting and more unique preparations than what is offered in the over abundance of italian restaurants in the west suburbs. Service could be more attentive and welcoming. We would go back and have recommended."

"Scapa is a fantastic restaurant. The pasta is out of this world. I was served by server Brooke and she did a great job. I love Scapa and would rather go there than go to Msggiano's. Enjoy your meal."

"We had a wonderful time having dinner at Scapa. We walked in and were given the option of what table we wanted. We had wonderful service, great food and were treated like VIPs. Scapa is now one of my top 5 restaurants. I was very happy with the entire experience. Thank you."

"As a continued, returning customer, the food is good, atmosphere is perfect and the staff is very friendly. Though I was very disappointed that they served a member of our group Chicken Parmesan that was over cooked and could not eat due to that. The sides of the breaded chicken were to tough and dry which made it very un appetizing and unable to eat and due to being hungry my son just ended up eating the noodles. We did let them know and they did offer to make a new dish, by then it was too late and the table had finished their food and he filled up on the noodles and some of the other food at the table. I was somewhat disappointed as this has happened before. We do enjoy going to scapa, but I was disappointed that evening. Thanks"

"We were celebrating both my mother's and my birthday. They gave us a special 'cabin' table, which I wouldn't have known to request. The food and service was excellent. Our new favorite neighborhood go-to!"

"Scapa is a great well rounded restaurant. anything from a casual dinner or lunch, or a romantic dinner, or even a later bar scene. the menu is phenomenal, can't go wrong every dish is a great dish. The bread that comes out with each meal is to die for."

"Was our first time there and thoroughly enjoyed it. We had a party of ten and they accommodated us wonderfully. Everyone in our party loved their food and we appreciated the fact that we could actually hear each other talking, even with such a large party. We dine out often and in many of the new restaurants the noise level is unbearable and leaves us not being able to hear each other. The garlic rolls were scrumptious and were a great way to start a delicious meal. We will definitely be back for more!!!!"

"Food was very good but our food came out moments after we received our salads. My very favorite dish when Scapa was in the old location was the blackened sea bass. I was thrilled to see it ont he menu. While it was good it was not as flavorful as the original Scapa served. The tomatoes did not have the charred smokey flavor and the sea bass was so mild, not really a blackened flavor. My pasta side for my sea bass never arrived. The wine I had was great for a by the glass wine. All in all it was a great suburban dinner and would go back."
