Located just steps from the sand, our striking open-air restaurant offers sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean along Kaanapali North Beach at the Honua Kai Resort and Spa. Fresh, locally sourced ingredients are featured throughout the breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. The cuisine is Hawaiian influenced with a focus on fresh, sustainable seafood and premium steaks. "We have eaten at Duke's many times, in both the formal and casual setting. We prefer to sit in the casual area which is outside. You can order from both the formal menu or the casual one. Food is very good with a wide variety of interesting choices. Service has always been excellent. Atmosphere is amazing."

"Duke's Tasting Menu has perfect portion sizes to get in Pupus, Entrees, dessert and still be able to walk down to and along the beach at the sunset. Our waiter, David, was very helpful and loved his job. Mahalo David."

"When arrived at Duke's, we seated immediately, the Server introduced herself, she made drink suggestions and took our order. She was really friendly and knew the menu. Our Service was quick and the food presentation and flavor was excellent. The Pricing was in line with other resorts we had visited."

"Only take large groups at 6:15 or 8:15. Arrived and our table was ready, but we were put in the farthest table out in the wind and forgotten about. When we asked if there were wraps for the women who weren't dressed for the weather, they suggested we buy their $40 sweatshirts. In 2 hours I could only get one drink served to me. They were out of crayons for the kids. Didn't try to scare some up, or apopolgize, or grab some from another table, just told me they were out and turned their back on me. Took an hour for mac and cheese to arrive for the kids. Only saving grace was the fish i had was really good but by then I wasn in no mood to enjoy it. Still had to pay 18% tip since we were a large group. Annoying."

"One of the best calamari dishes we've ever had. View was beautiful, missed the sunset because of clouds. Waiter was bang on, knew when you check with us, asked lots of questions to make the evening was perfect with really good friends."

"It was another great TS evening at Dukes. This is our first time at the Maui restaurant, and the food was excellent again. We made our reservation online before we landed on Maui, and it was just what we requested. Food was amazing, ribs and macnut crusted Opa. Hula pie is always out of sight. We were disappointed about no salad bar, so we didn't order a salad. Any chance it will be coming back? We miss the sweet cinnamon rolls. We did return for pupus and not such a good review. Small portions, slow service when not crowded, and watery mai tai. Also ate at Hula Grill and Leilani's at Whaler's and food was not great at either. Salads especially weak on taste. Fries were bad at Leilani's. We still love you all! Mahalo!"

"I was very impressed that the waiter commented immediately on my dietary restrictions I mentioned in the booking. His name was Aki and he was very helpful pointing out what I could and could not eat on the menu. I had just arrived at the resort from a long day of travel and it was late in the evening but they helped to start my vacation off with a great experience."

"We love that we could walk to Duke's from our hotel. Had a great table to view the sunset due to making a reservation while many people stood waiting. The fresh fish,good ribs at this busy hot spot. Staff was nice and our waiter was fine but he did seem to have to really run to take care of everyone simply due to how busy it was at sunset. We were not bother by this but it's a bustling place so you have to go with the flow here!! That said the food and drinks were served very quickly but we didn't feel rushed!"

"This is a must-do for anyone on Maui.
We enjoyed our dinner at Dukes Beach House immensely.
The online reservation process was incredibly simple and a great relief for us as it was Spring Break weekend. The email confirmation/reminder was reassuring.
The fresh food, enthusiastic staff, sunset ambiance with live music and seaside location were unlike any other. Can't beat the Hula Pie!
Great job by everyone for providing such a memorable experience!"

"Reservation process easy. When we got there , to sit outside we needed to order off one menu. But our reservation was for inside which was a different menu. We wanted to sit outside but order off the inside menu which could not be done. The hostess then found an outside table for us which we would be seated promptly and needed to order from the inside menu. So we took the table. But for the outside menu we could not be seated on time since reservations are not taken for outside even though there were tables available so we would need to wait to sit outside and eat off that menu. As for service I consider it poor. The waitress kept smiling and saying ok but the order still came wrong. I ordered a ceaser salad with chicken that was toohard"

"The place to be for sunset dining with a great view of the pacific ocean - ask for an outdoor table and you won't be disappointed! Our party had various fish entrees and all were perfectly cooked and well-presented. Service was very attentive and quick. "We've been to other Duke's and always enjoyed our food and experience. This time however, we were very disappointed. My wife has the risotto which had all of one scallop and a couple of shrimp. All of our rice was undercooked and service was not as attentive as we had come to expect at Duke's."

"These people are over the top with their service. They treat you like you are special. The view is unbelievable, especially at sunset. You are right on the beach in Kaanapali as you watch the sun go down behind Molakai. And the food matches the atmosphere and service beautifully! You must try the crispy coconut shrimp!"

"Disappointed with our experience at Duke's. The food was fair at best. An entree was undercooked and had to be sent back. The rest of the party had finished their entrees before the replacement entree arrived. The "highly recommended" mac and cheese was bland and DRY. The setting is lovely, however, take a jacket/wrap for the very chilly temperatures. Overall, an unsatisfactory experience for a highly rated Maui restaurant."

"The mahi-mahi was fantastic (the baked preparation). Love the creamed corn. The rocket salad was recommended by our waiter David and was quite good. The hula pie was ridiculously good. Best deal was the Kimo's chardonnay - excellent value. Breakfast at the bar the next morning was a highlight of our trip. Bartenders Josh and David exhibt a wonderful Aloha spirit. Eggs Benedict was terrific."
