"we saw the special Mothers Day menu on the South Point site. Service was slow to start.. waiting a while for a cocktail.. But once we had service they were super friendly. Our meals were really very good! we were surprised. when you have a special menu sometimes the choices are bland and boring. But they were outstanding. The starter/appetizer was a crab cake that was delicious. I will definitely go back again. Our mothers loved it!"

"Very reasonably priced Italian food with decent service. Have eaten here before and have yet to be disappointed with anything. Not 5 star, but the price is a qtr of what you would pay on the strip and the quality is very good. Their bolognese sauce is quite good, both on the penne and with the lasagna. Wine list is limited; however the Italian Barbera we had was superb for the price. Overall, an excellent value."

"Had a wonderful meal just before the show at South Point. Opens at 5:00pm, had a leisurely meal, a bottle of great wine and just walked across the casino to the Showroom for the 7:30pm show. Fabulous night out at the South Point!! Have done this routine many times and it is hard to beat!"

"Our eggplant Parmesan entrees included a side of penne with marinara sauce and a Caesar salad. We received a bread basket along with their delicious dipping sauce of roasted red peppers and garlic cloves plus olive oil. Unfortunately, our Caesar salads looked like coleslaw and were devoid of any “Caesar” taste.
Our entrees were bountiful, but it was quite obvious each came from a different batch. Mine was topped with a large amount of melted mozzarella while my wife's was charred on the edges with little in the way of cheese topping. She ended eating less than half of hers and about a ¼ of mine.
We used free dessert coupons from the funbooks received at check-in - the tiramisu was good, the cappuccinno had little flavor."

"Stay away on holidays. Don Vito's was good in the past but for Easter, they microwaved my chicken parmigiana. Dried out sauce, dried out cheese and rubberized chicken. The other three in my party a had similar experience. If they are going to charge moderate prices, they should pay attention to the quality of preparation. I would expect this at the Macaroni Grill but $21 for a dish is a little high when you get substandard, dried out rubber."

"We celebrated Valentine's Day 2013 at Don Vitto's inside the South Point casino and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The Prix Fixe menu was $35 pp and included a champagne toast, appetizer, entree and dessert - all of the courses were gorgeously presented, delicious, and filling, we even took home leftovers. The decor and ambiance was a bit dark, but otherwise fine. We enjoyed our meal and will be back again in the future."

"Although this restaurant is located in a casino, it's conveniently only a few steps in from the North facing entrance, and it's completely enclosed with large glass windows so you're not exposed to the noise, second-hand smoke, and what not from the casino environment. Excellent food, good wine list, reasonable and affordable menu items and a very friendly and attentive restaurant staff. We will definitely dine here again."

"Once again an absolutely perfect dining experience. Menu eclectic Italian. Specials always interesting and tasty. This visit ribeye, halibut and scallops were a chef's special. We brought out of town guests there from Reno and they were impressed. One hint: if you prefer dining in quiet elegance (we do) to a that of busy eatery, get to Don Vito's between 5 and 6 PM. After that the tourists are likely to fill the place up. It's that good!"

"I have been to this restaurant several times and it is consistant. It certainly is not the best Italian in town but the value is good and it is better that most casino eateries.
The night we ate there, we had a party of 10. They pushed 4 round tables together. They had our reservation for a week. That is not how you seat 10 people and it was embarassing. my guess is that they are not use to larger parties."

"Consistently excellent. We go at 5 PM and beat the crowd. If you like quiet elegance that is the time to go. It gets crowded pretty much later, but not intolerable. The wait staff is courteous friendly and totally unobtrusive. Portions are generous, food is well prepared. Menu is standard Italian with usually one or two chef specials which we almost always take."
