"A very good restaurant. We were visiting the area and wanted to find a place with good food that was t too expensive or noisy. Case de Cobre was perfect --service was attentive and food was perfect."

"The pedestals under the tables are too large leaving no room to stretch your legs. A flawed design. And the margaritas are too sweet for our liking but the food is very good."

"Our server was kind and attentive. The food is good, but I would like to see more dishes without heavy sauces. For example, chile rellano is one of my favorites, but the sause is way too heavy. I've had appetizers there before that were outstanding. The jalepeno vodka martini is good...just spicy enough. We enjoy sitting outside, but it can get noisy."

"This was my second time at Casa De Cobre and I really enjoyed it. We were able to sit outside on the patio which was really nice. It did get cold once the sun went down and for some reason both of their outdoor heaters were broken. I think they were probably just out of propane. Our waitress explained a lot of things about the menu for us and offered her suggestions which was helpful. I had the crab enchiladas and my friend had the vegetarian cheese stuffed chile renello. We both liked our dishes. The chips and guacamole were good too so definitely get those. I had a great red wine sangria too. Definitely make reservations as the place does get crowded, especially if you want to sit outside."

"I had the fish tacos and shared the queso fundido with my friend. The tacos were delicious - homemade thick tortillas, grilled (not fried!) flaky fish perfectly done and marinated cabbage topped them off. The queso fundido was also really good. The table shared the guacamole which was good; nothing special, but good. A friend had the carne asada taco which she said was excellent and another friend had nopales which she said were great. Overall, the food was delicious, the service was great and we were lucky enough to be one of two tables on the patio. They even brought me a delicious chocolate soufle (?) cake for my birthday!"

"I think this place could be better than I found it but it was like they were trying to make me dislike them tonight. Sat next to a draughty external door. Loud kids party in the back room. Fish taco so hot that by the time it cooled enough to eat the tortilla was soaked and fell apart. My entree was meh too - allegedly cooked in chilli it was very mild indeed and needed to be livened up with salsa. Overall a big disappointment. Service was attentive though - nice enough that I feel a little bad about how much I disliked the food and setting."

"Good service. Food was also pretty good but somehow lacking full flavor i usually expect from Mexican dishes. A bit pricey for what you get, but given the location, this should be expected. If in the area, i would go again and try a different meal. The restaurant was also really noisy. I would recommend asking for outdoor seating."

"The food at Casa de Cobre is always consistently good. Their purist margarita is to die for, as well as their habanero salsa. If you're looking for high end Mexican food, this is the place to go."

"A different kind of Mexican food done very well! (Forget about ordering your normal Mexican platter here.) Step outside the box and experience non-familiar ingredients and combinations done with a creatively flavorful result. (Goat? Delicious! Rellenos in pecan cream? Outstanding!). Price reflects the neighborhood and high-end approach to the cuisine. Will definitely return!"

"We were very excited to dine here again (my third time). We arrived early and sat at the bar. We were served quickly and told our table was ready if we wanted to sit down even though the rest of our party was not present. 4 of us ordered drinks at the table and it took 15 minutes for them to be served. We had to ask twice for additional chips for the guacamole and salsa (which were awesome)! I received my meal first, my friend received the wrong meal, and the other 2 guests were served a few minutes later. The server did take back the incorrect meal and brought the correct one several minutes later. Overall the food is incredible but the service was sub par."

"I have dined at Casa de Cobre many times. This experience though will be enough for a long time. Service was awful. We didn't meet our server until we'd been seated for 20 minutes and then it took another 20 minutes to get a margarita. The menu has changed to incorporate Spanish influence but unfortunately the new dishes were disappointing. The "seared ahi tuna" was fully cooked and we sent it back. The second version was better but not what one would expect for $20+ entree. You know the experience was bad when the server brings by your check, won't meet your eye and whispers, "I'm sorry"."

"This is the second time we went to this restaurant and we won't be back. The food is OK but you feel that it should be so much better especially for the price. We were also looking for vegetarian options that night and were surprised at the lack of choice for a Mexican Restaurant. $24 for a small plate of uninspired mushroom-only Paella was a particular disappointment. And with both visits, the staff gave us the impression they would rather be doing just about anything else but waiting on us. Won't give them another chance."

"Ambiance is great for a date night. Dark enough to ignore the other diners, but not so much that you cannot see your partner. Loved the carne asada street taco, but the pork belly one was a little soggy. The petite New York steak is fantastic. I got it Medium Well and it was still juicy. Great drink selections with flights of tequila and unique beers."

"The service was very slow and although I had a reservation, our table was not for 5, but for 4 so I was sitting in the walkway between the kitchen and serving area. We waited a long time for our meal, and my vegetarian quesadilla was cold and the cheese no longer melted. The prices, for what we got, were high. I have been to this restaurant three times, and this was the first negative experience. I am not planning on returning soon."
