Bison County combines the best of what Texas, South Carolina, and the Southwest have to offer. For over 14 years we've been serving critically acclaimed hardwood smoked barbecue and grilled meats. We have an eclectic and diverse menu that has something for everyone. We've won "Best of Boston" by Boston Magazine. We've been a 5 time guest on the Phantom Gourmet and won "Gourmet Greatness" and "Great 8 Best in New England" by the Phantom Gourmet. We've also been featured twice on the TV show Chronicle.
In addition to our Barbecue and grilled meats we have items like New Orleans 4Pepper Pasta, Blackened Salmon, Southern Fried Catfish, California Style soft Tacos, and grilled fire shrimp.
Our bar features over 50 different beers, 15 Single Malt Scotches, 15 Single Barrel Bourbons, 20 Vodka varieties, and 3 50" HD TVs for all your sporting needs.
"Six of us went in for Mother's Day dinner. Right away, we were greeted by cheerful waitresses/hostesses. Meals came very quickly. the South Carolina wings were tender and tasty. From the sirloin steak, brisket and tips to the sweet potato fries and salad, the meals were delicious. The brisket was so tender that a fork was not even needed., and the taste was tremendous. The martinis were spot on. All in all, a very relaxing and wonderful dining experience."

"This is a nice bar with some decent bbq. It would have been a nice casual birthday dinner except the service was apathetic to non existent. It took 10 minutes of waiting before I we t searching for our server. The hostess was nice and asked what i wanted to drink and relayed it to a server who didn't come for another 5 minutes. The rest if the night they checked on us appropriately and were nice but were still Blasé. Food was ok - nothing remarkable. Probably wouldn't go back..."

"We had a great time at Bison County. The burger was outstanding, according to my son, and while my other son's ribs were a bit fatty he said the flavor was great. I had a pulled chicken quesadilla and it was pretty delish. The place was packed at 8:30 on a Friday night and we were vey happy we had made reservations."

"While the food overall was good, the service was subpar. We were a party of four and the waitress got two of our orders completely wrong. When we sent them back, she mentioned that the drink and food would be "thrown in the trash" and then asked if we would like to keep them! We felt she didn't make an attempt to listen or to be welcoming at all. The food was ok but the experience left us all feeling it could have been so much better. We will think twice before returning or recommending Bison County to others."

"We have been regulars at Bison County for more than ten years. This restaurant boasts little turnover among it's staff and a great attitude towards their customers. Food is consistently good. Never a bad meal. Never bad service."

"We had a large party, and the server was attentive and helpful when we came in, but after a while we seemed to be forgotten; it took a VERY long time to get a refill on water, for instance. The food was tasty and the portions were ample, though one gluten-free friend had quite a time figuring out if there was anything he could eat on the menu. It also turned out to be "trivia night" and at that point it got WAY too loud for my comfort. I would recommend it for the food, but only if you're with a small party and you don't mind noise (or on a night when there are no special events)."

"Service was good and we were seated right away. The food was not as good. Our burgers were dry, overcooked, and lacked flavor. My husband's ribs were very fatty and also overcooked. I was disappointed in the food and will not be returning."

"We like Bison County but parking in the area is horrendous. Plan on spending a good 20-30 minutes circling around trying to find a spot. Beware of parking on Moody street too. My son thought it was his lucky day when a spot opened up on the street, by the restaurant, but when we left he had a hundred dollar parking ticket on his vehicle. There was a bus stop sign at the corner and very faint lines on the road but not marked clearly where he was. The food was great as usual....the corn bread they serve is amazing!"

"One bad thing that stuck out! Got the fried catfish app and it was burnt batter. The waitress came over and asked how it was, I said "not so good" and she just smirked and walked away. LOL- why bother asking? Oh well!"
