"I had no idea that the Copper River Salmon was such a great treat. The waiter took time to explain the differences on the salmon choices, and hightly recommended the seasonal Copper River Salmon. I loved it. One is our group had the Walleye, liked lots.

"All fish is sustainable. Their menu is thoughtful plus you can have any fish simply prepared.i had hand harvested scallops simply prepared using pan searing. scallops were wonderful. my daughter had steak which came med rare as ordered and was perfect. Vegetables were the only slip. asparagus was well roasted but the ends were not trimmed beforehand so tough. i ordered the special brussel sprouts which would have been perfect if given 10 more minutes in the oven. Despite the veggies - i definitely recommend it for the fish and meat. we were there on a sunday when the wine by the bottle is half price.Nice selection of wines."

"Our group of 4 (60+) ate here on June 1, 2013. We enjoyed the starter on the table of hummus and cheese to spread on warm tortillas.
We each had a cocktail and they arrived properly created.
The dinners we enjoyed were the Ono Wahoo/grilled, Canadian Walleye/grilled, Ahi Tuna steak /seared rare to perfection and the special of the night a small Filet Mignon stuffed with crab and mushrooms/medium rare.
Each of us was pleasantly surprised with the quality of the food, presentation and quantity. Each entree came with it's own sides and one Caesar salad was ordered . We all commented that a nice salad bar would have been perfect in this restaurant.
We did not order dessert or wine.
Our server was knowledgeable and we would all dine here again."

"The Copper River Fish & Chop House is a GEM!! The menu is extensive and our waiter was attentive and answered all questions, in detail, about the fish we were interested in. As a result, the fish we selected was prepared exactly as we wanted it and the entire meal was excellent.The restaurant is beautiful, the food was outstanding, and the service was the best we have had in a long time.I highly recommend this restaurant - it is well worth the drive to Lakeville. We will be back with other friends for sure."

"They have made jam using bacon! Is any more information really needed??
Very friendly staff for our special occasion. All staff was aware of our anniversary which was a very nice touch. My wife had halibut that was very good. The bacon jam was the star of the dish! I enjoyed a flavorful bone in rib eye that was done to my order. The pre meal hummus was very good but awkward to eat with the portions of grilled tortilla wrap. Would have been more enjoyable on a toasted bread of some sort we felt. Both of our martinis were great also.
We'll be back to try more martinis and some of the appetizers!"

"Service was exceptional, food was very poor, from lobster roll, BLT, to prime rib French dip. Arby's French dip is better. Needless to say the prices we felt on the French dip was highly overpriced. We will not return."

"The servers were quick to answer your questions, even if they did not know they found out quickly. The fish tacos we had were excellent. The sauce, the pico de gallo, the guacamole and the fresh veggies that accompanied were wonderful. The menu had many selections, and the kitchen was open to substitutions. Try their green beans almondine, the light dressing and grilled beans were surprising as they were fantastic! The steak I had was awesome, done perfectly(ribeye bone in). A great salad needs great bread. The humus(again a wonderful surprise) was complex and flavorful, but the flat bread(think manufactured tortillias) was unable to provide the proper support for such deliciousness. Leave room for dessert, the creme brulee was great."

"My wife and I recently dined at Copper River for Mother's day and our wedding anniversary. My wife had the salmon which had good flavors, but was slightly overcooked. I had the Ahi Tuna which was prefectly cooked and was very good. I especially liked their roasted corn and lobster chowder. "selection of items from the buffet was great, both breakfast & lunch items. Staff was very good @ keeping buffet stocked. Food quality was good overall w/some exceptions; noticed several slices of burnt french toast. Green beans had excellent flavor but should have cooked just a little longer. Flank Steak also had good flavor but should have been sliced much more thinly, like London Broil. The thicker slices resulted in meat being chewy. Walleye was great provided you got it hot & fresh; got real greasy after sitting for a while. Ham @ carving station was excellent!
Some drink specials would have been appreciated; $8 for Bloody Mary's & Cosmos was steep on top of $24 brunch price."

"The plan was for my parents to drive up from Waseca Mn so I was to find a place between there and Eden Prairie. I tried making reservations for brunch on Mothers Day to Porterhouse in Lakeville. When they were booked, I searched for what was near. My parents and I were very impressed on how they greeted us, served us and continued to come by and ask how our experience was. Not only our waitress but also the "table cleaning guy" would ask. I believe the manager even came by to ask us how we enjoyed our meal. The buffet was AWESOME! It was a select amount of breakfast and lunch options. It was not overwhelming. The walleye was the best and I also enjoyed green beans. The deserts were awesome too. Thank you! Awesome job!"

"The menu online was fantastic. Unfortunately they had run out of three of the dishes that enticed us there in the first place and the quantities were low on other things - scraped the bottom of the containers several times to get a bit of the food. It was later in the day - lunchtime as opposed to breakfast - but they should have been better at calculating quantities and restocking the table. Quality of the food was so-so, nothing special. The place was not fully booked and beverage service was rather slow. Beautiful restaurant - will try it again for menu service rather than buffet."

"We had the best time and loved the visual design of the place. They were very accomodating, I had goofed on our reservatation time and they still squeezed us in! We had a wonderful meal and prepared perfectly, my daughter loved the green flat bread. My MIL was able to substitute green beans for asparagus and we finished our meal with the best cheese cake. We all agreed we want to go back, I wish this restaurant was in our neighborhood instead of over an hour away. I know we will be back there again, its worth the drive!"

"You won't give adequate length in the review for me to state all the things that are wrong with this restaurant.
Basically, they can't cook steak properly and the service is poor. 2 shots at a steak and still got it wrong.
There is a reason this restaurant has open tables at 7 p.m. on a Friday night. Poor cooking and poor service.
For the money ($$$) you can do alot better. Go somewhere else."

"I enjoyed a most delectable sea bass. The menu was wonderful and I actually had trouble making my choice (trouble I like to have).
The service was impeccable and the Old Fashioned was the best I've had outside of home.

"My wife and I ate at Copper River and mostly enjoyed our night out. My steak was well cooked, but not overly tasty. I was not able to substitute a couple extra sprigs of asparagus or brussel sprouts for my mashed potatoes. No substitution policy seemed extreme. None of our food selections were great, overall average food for the price. The restaurant has a nice, warm feel."

"Horrible service. Waited 20 min for order to be taken, which was horrible because it was NOT busy at all. Comparable to other steakhouses in the area, this place will disappoint you. Very expensive considering the flavor and quality of the food."

"overall good food. good house wine. however, it's unfortunate that they are so rigid on substitutions. such as , we requested a substitute of vegetables for french fries with a sandwich and were turned down and a substitute for sweet potato hash was also denied, we were told the chef will not allow it."

"This was our first time dining at the restaurant. We loved the design of the space and are hoping we can come back and dine on the patio when it's nicer outside. Our food was pretty good. Our appetizers and wine came in good time; main course was held up in the kitchen for a while. Also a bit disappointed that many fish selections were already sold out before we ordered. We ordered filet medium rare, and it came out just a touch rarer. All in all, the staff were polite, the food was impressive considering this was Lakeville-- not eat street in Minneapolis. We will recommend and we will come again!"

"Food was fantastic!! We were looking for someplace that offered seafood options and we tried Copper River and we couldn't be happier about the food. One opportunity for improvement was the waiter left us a little too long between taking appetizer order and taking main course order, we had appetizers half eaten before he was back. Result was a little too long between app and main courses. However the food was SO dang good it is easy to overlook that part.
This is on our list to eat here again soon."

"There wasn't a lot of energy in the building, and for a slow evening (at lease it seemed slow for a Friday night) the service wasn't very spot on, or attentive. The servers weren't engaging, just did what they had to make sure the table had what they needed at the barest minimum. Experienced this in both the bar and the restaurant.
The décor is cool, but with the low energy in the place and actually feels a bit flat or out of place.
The best part of the evening was the food...truly spectacular..."

"Outstanding service, very attentive. I ordered the filet, which was prepared very well and ultra tender, but I would have preferred a sear rather than grill finish (I know, my personal preference). Next time will try a different dish. Had the coconut shrimp and rib eye tacos as appetizers, both were enjoyed. Desserts were ok--the crème brulee was nice but the chocolate molten cake appeared as if it had been just microwaved. Red velvet cake was a hit."

"This was our first dining experience at Cooper River and we were highly impressed. The food was excellent and the service was exemplary. My wife and I were celebrating an Anniversary dinner and the personal touch of adding a message to our menu was a nice romantic gesture. "We went here for the first time for Easter Brunch. It was very nice inside - not overcrowded and no one felt rushed to get in and get out. The offering with the brunch had a good variety of food so there was something for everyone at our table. It is definitely a restaurant that I would like to try for a date night also."

"It's still cold out so I can't comment on the outdoor dining or even the view. But the food was very very tasty. I had the pepper crusted swordfish with cognac and mushroom sauce and horseradish mashed potatoes topped with fried onion strings. DELISH. My comrades had the filet mignon (cooked exactly as ordered), the ribeye (nice but nothing special) and we had the surf and turf and the jalepeno hushpuppies for starters. Those were very nice. Jay, our server, was perfect. He is very helpful and knowledgeable about the food and the bar. He was perfectly attentive and friendly. We'll be back for sure."
