Epulo Bistro serves seasonal Northwest cuisine with a Mediterranean flare and creative seasonal cocktails in a fun and welcoming atmosphere. Located on Main Street in downtown Edmonds, we are just steps away from local boutique shops, the theater and the Kingston Ferry. Epulo is a family owned upscale bistro that prides itself on combining both modern-creative and traditional cooking practices, to sell delicious and remarkable food and drinks. Please join us as we aim to be a giving member of the Edmonds community and use our restaurant to improve the quality of life in the Puget Sound region!

"A group of us get together once a year or so and we always seem to return to Epulos. It has an eclectic menu, suitable for vegetarians as well carnivores or those in between. Service is always good, but there is a bit of noise. I would suggest sitting in one of the booths. The bar is very handsome and also has an energetic feel. I definitely would suggest reservations. Parking can be a little tough, but you can usually find sport within a block or so."

"Took us a long time to finally go to this restaurant because it opened in the space of an older restaurant that we didn't really care for...but we finally did and WOW!!! We loved it, the food was delicious, the service was wonderful. The tables are a little small and you feel a bit close to your neighbor, but all and all the experience was well worth it. The menu offered slighly unique dishes, including grass fed beef and their own original drinks, although we just enjoyed a couple glasses of wine. Epulo is our new fave in Edmonds."

"The menu for the brunch was exceptional - VERY hard to decide which of the delightful offerings to order. What we opted for was better than expected. Portions were the right size and attention to all the important details were covered.

"A friend & I tried Epulo on Friday night after making reservations on Open Table and found it to be a most excellent experience. We ordered the lamb chops on the "small bites" portion (1 order each) of the menu along with the green beans (shared) and they were both absolutely delicious. It was filling enough, but so good we wanted more. I will be going back very soon. A great find."

"Have never had a bad meal or bad experience at Epulo. The menu changes up regularly, with wonderful specials. It is usually hard to decide what to have, the choices all sound so good. The pizzas make good appetizers, and they offer a number of small plate options for those who want variety. Great place for dinner before a show at the Edmonds Center for the Arts, too."

"The use of israeli couscous with the steamed clams was an interesting twist. The sauce on my friend's rigatonni was rich and decadent. I had the house special wood fired pizza. Nice crisp bottom crust with a chew to the center and nice balance of toppings. Very ample portion for one person (and I can put away some pizza). Short but worthy offering of wines by the glass. Service was on par for a bistro environment. Seating is kind of tight if your table is other than one of their booths. I will definitely return."

"We had a great evening at Epulo Bistro. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect. I must however point out that we were charged $5 more for the bottle of wine than listed in the menu and $2 more for each glass of port that we ordered. The waitress blamed it on a new menu for the evening and credited us the mistake. Other than that, the place is great. The bartender, Sean, really enjoys his job and made great recommendations. All in all, a wonderful neighborhood gem, our new favorite place in Edmonds!"

"Epulo is our new go-to restaurant for date night! Thankfully we made a reservation- the restaurant was packed on Friday night with a handful of people waiting for a table. We were seated immediately.
The service was great and the food was divine. Our waitress walked us through the menu to let us know details about each dish not listed. Never would we order chicken at a restaurant, but the sous vide thighs were at a level that we cannot match at home. The short rib was consistent with our previous visit- delicious."

"The food was fresh and well-prepared. My wife had roasted cauliflower and I had the polenta fries as starters. They were both big enough to share, and were interesting dishes. We both ordered the tenderloin, with ramps (breaded and fried), mashed parsnips, and foraged mushrooms. I asked for "bleu" and my wife ordered "medium." Hers arrived medium, and mine arrived rare. (This is pretty typical these days, so I'm not dinging the restaurant--just complaining in general.) We were a bit rushed that night, and did not get to try the wine list or the bar service. There were some interesting cocktails on the menu, though."

"Went here with a group of 6 for my wife's birthday. I had the beet salad and braised short ribs. The salad was large but quite bland. The short ribs were ok, slightly overdone and also a bit bland. I tried the kale-apple salad which was good but not great. The best items were the pizzas. The doughnut dessert was poor - donuts didn't seem that fresh. The cold chocolate dessert (can't recall the name) was quite good. The restaurant is pretty loud (Friday at 6 pm) and the service was only ok. We won't go back again."

"Last year, we went to Easter brunch at Epulo, and it was sublime. The poached eggs on the crabs benedict burst with a molten center and every piece of our meals was delightful. In anticipation of such blissfulness, we booked again this year at approximately the same time of the morning. The restaurant changed from a la carte service to buffet service to the detriment of the quality of both food and service. We were quite disappointed. The poached eggs were solid, the crabcakes were closer to a mousse consistancy, and the fruit plate was removed while we were in line without being replaced the whole time we were there. The waitress even brought us the wrong bill."

"This was my second time to eat at Epulo this year. The food at our table was wonderful both times. Simple dishes fixed perfectly -- roasted cauliflower, fig and Gorgonzola thin crust pizza, a Brussels sprouts, kale, and apple salad, short ribs. Each dish was perfectly prepared, and so tasty. The venue is small and always busy -- get reservations -- so the noise level can get high for what is meant to be an intimate setting. I would recommend it for a small group (4) of good friends who love food and have time to enjoy the meal."

"Had a reservation for three at 7:45 on a Sat and had to wait over 30 minutes for a table, and the bar was packed. Could've offered us a glass of water or some crayons and a coloring book. Service was excellent once we were seated and the food was delicious. The lamb appetizer was superb. Ordered one of the 10" pizzas and everyone loved it. Parking in the lot alongside the restaurant was a plus. Decent wine list, but not noteworthy. Never again on a Saturday."

"I love this place for a nice date night! Every dish my husband and I have tried here has been fantastic. I ordered the Pork Loin with Apricot and polenta. The pork was very flavorful and the apricot was the perfect choice. I have never liked polenta but decided to give it a try and I was glad I did the creamy texture was great and the flavor wonderful! My husband ordered the Gnocchi and prawns which was fantastic as well. The gnocchi had the perfect texture and it was served in a decadent cream sauce. In the past we have had the Beef tenderloin which also was out of this world. I would definitely recommend this for those who are looking for fine dining with a more casual atmosphere. The candlelight gives the ambiance a cozy feel."

"I was sorely disappointed by my Valentines Day experience at the restaurant. The restaurant appeared to be overwhelmed - there was a lot of waiting for getting seated as well as receiving the food. When I received my beef, it was overcooked."

"My husband and I went to Epulo for their Valentine's Day fixed-price dinner menu. The restaurant was packed and a little noisy, but the food delicious. It was so busy that the staff, and I assume kitchen, seemed overwhelmed. There was a long wait between courses, and some food came out tepid or seemed to have been sitting a while (specifically, soup and molten chocolate cake). That said, I will definitely be going back for a not-so-special occasion to sample more of the menu and more casual evening because the main courses(lamb and scallops)were really good."

"We are regulars at Epulo and decided to celebrate Valentine's Day there. Epulo's staff did an amazing job taking care of a very crowded house. The prix fixe menu still offered great variety and the mood was romantic in a festive way. The wine flight pairings were great -- loved the idea of having a choice between red and white flight pairings. This is a restaurant that gets it: everyone is treated well and the little details are taken care of.
Why drive to Seattle when you can get this kind of food/experience in a charming seaside town -- and park for free across the street!"

"We made reservations I believe a month out for 6:45 side by side seating when we arrived our table was next to entrance, and we had the pleasure of 20 other patrons hovering over us waiting for their tables, this place overbooked I understand this is a big day for the business but $200.00 for a very unromatic dinner taught us a lesson. We will never try to go out to dinner on Valentines Day, we will dine at home The appetisers were awesome, salad lackluster main entree ok we will be back we do enjoy the bar the owner is a nice gentleman Thank you Bob and Suzy"

"We opted for an earlier time. We had previously experienced the food at a later time in the evening previously when the place is slammed and food quality diminishes. Our first course was a bit of a let down, the Ravioli was tough and the oysters very briny, but presentation was spot on. The following courses were all pretty nice until the entrée, where the rack of lamb was polar opposites. One was barely, I mean barely cooked, more like a sear and other was very well done. I would have sent it back but entrées were backed up in the kitchen and we were really ready to get on to dessert. My only complaints with dessert was the red velvet cake was hard, but over all for a mass dinner pretty good."

"This is a nice place to eat. It was Valentine's Day and was very busy. The portions were small but tasted great. The price was preset and was on the high side in my opinion. The tables seemed a little squeezed together so they could get in as many customers as they could."
