Germano's, located in the quaint gaslight section of downtown Montgomery, has been consistently delighting patrons with the finest Italian cuisine since 1986. Chef owner Domenico Germano hails from the Molise region, but Germano's fare showcases a mastery of authentic sauces and preparations from all over Italy. "While the menu isn't extensive, it is unique and well prepared. We especially enjoyed the calamari appetizer; it isn't fried as normally found in restaurants but sauteed in a wine sauce with mushrooms and a little spice. Very nice and a highlight of our meal.
The noise level was a bit too much; we had a difficult time just talking with one another or hearing the waitress describes the specials."

"We were excited to try Germano's. A friend had recommended since he knew I would be searching out pasta dishes the night before running The Flying Pig. When I made the reservation through Open Table, I had requested a good table since it was our first time at the ristorante. Not only did we not get one of the 8 tables that line the windows looking out onto quaint downtown Montgomery, we were put at a booth that was in THE HIGHEST TRAFFIC spot in the place. Complete let down. Also, our server was one of the most socially awkward people I've met in recent years. I bet here life would be a lot better if she would try something different. Then the food was just fair. Not horrible, mind you - but not anything I would go back for."

"Not having been there for several years, returned on an early evening for a reliably excellent meal, in a busy neighborhood of Cincinnati. Not disappointed. Able to be seated right away, service was excellent. Food very well prepared. Felt the menu could have been more expansive, but what they offered was great. Not a hot spot, but recommend for quality Italian meal. Known for Raspberry pie."

"This is a wonderful restaurant-great service, very attentive. The citrus arugula salad was wonderful -enjoyed mine with perfectly cooked scallops. The bread was served warm and was delicious. My friend enjoyed the chicken parmesean-said it was the best she ever had and also said the garlic italian cream dressing was delicious."

"I have been taking my Grandmother to this restaurant for her birthday since 2006. This year we will be celebrating Gramma's 97th birthday. The staff is amazing and even special order lamb chops just for her. You can't beat that kind of service!"

Seafood was a bit overdone,,, and a a bit tired.
And you pay a pretty hefty price for what you get... And for the price I was hoping to see a bit more sophistication in the sauces or dishes, or the presentation. Instead it was good, OK, not great.
The waiter was very knowlegeable, did a good job. But we were there early and on not a busy night,,,, had a business discussion. But a good job on the service. And it is nice to have a quiet place to have a nice dinner. I just wish it was great.

"Haven't been here in a few years. Had high hopes for a super evening. Meals were fine but not outstanding. We both had the halibut special. For what we paid i expect something I couldn't make at home. Wine list was overpriced. Cocktails were also pricey. Service was excellent-Brittany was a delight. $140 for two. Doubt we'll be back."

"I love this restaurant. It's a regular haunt for us. My husband and I used to go there every Tuesday for lunch until our schedules changed. I have never had a bad meal there. They have at least 4 specials every day. It's not the usual Italian restaurant. The food is innovative with many fresh fish and yummy pasta dishes with a variety of unusual ingredients. I can't say a enough good things about it. It is a hidden gem in Montgomery."

"3 of our party of 4 got the same dish off the menu. (The spagetti dish) All 3 were different. 2 had burnt garlic cloves, heavy on the spagetti and few of the other ingredients and were somewhat bland. The other one was delicious with lots of tomatoes and other indegredients."

"Germano's is one of those restaurants that doesn't need to spend on a lot of advertisement. The food is good, the service smooth and as our 7-year old grandson stated "That carrot cake is amazing. The best I've ever had!" While Germano's is primarily an "adult" restaurant, the staff went out of their way to accommodate twin boys."

"Germano's Ristorante has never dissapointed. Service was good and would have been outstanding, but server had too many tables to handle. Food was outstanding. I had the crab meat stuffed sole and my wife had a chicken pomodoro. Everything was cooked perfectly and we we had a wonderful night out."

"i was kind of disappointed I had been wanting to try Germano's for a long while now and however the food delivered and was delicious. The service and hospitality fell short. It was my birthday and made mention in the reservation but no staff member or manager made mention even after the took my I.D. Took 15 mins. to get my first cocktail and about 30-40 mins. to get our order taken. I think the server was new and spread just a little to thin. Based on the food I may give it another chance but service must improve."

"I thought the overall experience was very good. The food was excellent. The food prices while a bit high was worth the extra. The service was very good especially given the fact that it was Valentine's day. One dissapointment were the drink prices. I thought 12.00 for a Grey Goose and club and $13.00 for a glass of the house Chianti was way over the top. My wife's Bicardi and coke was only 7.00 which is reasonable.
We would consider going again for the next special occasion however we will probably have cocktails somewhere else before dinner."

"We dined here Saturday night and the food and service were outstanding. There were at least 5 specials that were not on the menu. I ordered the lemon sole with crabmeat and my wife had a pasta dish with sausage. Both were very good. This place is a repeat."
