"We went to The Wright to celebrate my wife's birthday with a Sunday brunch. The food was amazingly good - from the filet with eggs (they fried them when I asked) to the eggs benedict/florentine, and the kid's menu was amazing. But the service was...well, not quite poor, more like inattentive. We - and other tables - had to ask for salt and pepper, butter for the rolls, straws for the drinks. It's really curious why this is. If they fix this curiosity, I'd recommend The Wright hands down; as is, though, I'd say only go if you're in the area and really hungry."

"Good for a starting brunch before going to a few exhibits. Nice design. Quality of the food and specialty drinks not quite in balance with the price point."

"We were going to the Guggenheim then lunch. My friends said, "Keep it simple." Ok, next door seemed simple enough. What a happy surprise to discover that this restaurant is anything but simple. Amazing service right from the front door. Interesting, creative menu. Food beautifully presented and filled with complex and delicious flavors. Highly recommend the eggplant, goat cheese terrine! Delicious! Overall, simply fabulous!"

"While it is convenient being right in the museum, the service level is spotty at best. First time fine. Second time: 1) I don't like my drink spilled when delivered to my table and then I have to ask you 5 minutes later to wipe up what you spilled on the table and the base of my glass, 2) Don't reach directly over my plate of food to refill the glass of water of the person sitting right next to me (very rude), 3) if I'm the one paying the bill at the end and place the folio at the edge of the table on my right for you to pick up, don't come back with the receipt for signature and place it on my left for anyone sitting at my table to pick it up (that's just idiotic). Bottom line...won't be back."

"We had a reservation for 15h30 and when we arrived at the restaurant, we were told that we had to order and eat quickly, because they wanted to close. Despite the good food, we didn' t enjoy it at all, because of the general stress ambiance."

"kind of odd texture to beet salad but zucchini tagliatelle was DELISH and addictive! Breads not so fresh, so save room for green tea brulee. prix fixe good value."

"The decor was minimalistic without being too cold. We had brunch there and the food and presentation was very good. Would definitely go back there again."

"I think they need to pay their wait staff more. Then they need to train them. Service was perfectly polite but haphazard. My main course salmon was good quality and well cooked but the whole dish was overloaded with oil."

"In the Guggenheim Museum, but accessible from 5th Ave without going to the Museum. Artful, beautifully presented, delicious, offbeat creations. Shrimp risotto was disappointing; Crab cakes fabulous, eggplant/red peppers/goat cheese appetizer wonderful - like nothing I've ever tasted. Wise to have reservations as the restaurant is not very large. Great service. Prices reasonable for the setting and food quality."

"We had the Sunday Brunch and it didn't disappoint! The pastries and jams were very good as starters and overall we were happy with our meal. The decor mirrors the Guggenheim and it is a perfect place to start before taking a tour."

"Had been told about this restaurant and we waited especially to make our appointment after visintg the museum. However, we were offered a brunch menu ie eggs at 3pm which was disappointing. We had hoped for more main meal options. Still, the food we got was a nice standard, although nothing to rave about. Service and drinks were good. Overall: average restaurant. If you are hungry and nearby it will suffice nicely."

"We had the three-course fixed price lunch. We had the crab cake, short ribs, and two different desserts - cheesecake and creme brulee. All of the food was excellent and beautifully presented. The servers were attentive without being annoying. The servings were quite small, so having dessert kept us from being hungry afterwards. The prices seemed a little high, even for New York."

"We have ALWAYS had excellent food and service at The Wright, and so during every visit to NYC we plan lunch at The Wright And we always recommend it to friends. But after this time we are reconsidering. Two of the four of us had very disappointing food, a pork belly (which that diner loves) cooked to be just a hunk of fat, and a chicken schnitzel, so dried out and tasteless my husband said he would never return. To top it off the coffee at our meals end, always good. Beyond that - perfunctory slap dash service. Please fix these!"

"Seemed more like a cafeteria than a hip brunch spot. Spilled coffee and orange juice on the floor next to us was never cleaned up during our entire stay. Food was ok but nothing near the description of being "chef inspired". Won't return."

"Good food - not a wow.......definitely a lunch spot. Service erratic......large table next to us that was seated after us got water, bread, etc before us. Leek soup excellent but tartare a bit oily. Pretty presentation, good menu selection and they allowed us to linger after we finished. Overall a good place after the Met or Guggenheim with a nice atmosphere and good food."

"Very pricey but worth apecial occasion even with kids? The waiters were absolutely charming to my 12 year old daughter. Not for kids who want French fries and pasta."
