"Service needs to be improved. We got to the resturant and the first check to our table was after almost 10 minutes. Our drinks order was taken 10 minutes later.. steak was great; however, the fish of the day, was poorly cooked- I really love fish-Usually, I just eat seafood, but this time, I could just have a bite of the fish :-("

"The food was excellent, noise level was extremely high and we had a hard time hearing the server as he told us about the nights specials. Half the table could not hear him at all and missed out on the details of the menu. We ordered our food 45 min before closing time and promptly at 10 pm they turned the lights up to full brightness for several minutes to "encourage" us to leave. Several minutes they turned the lights completely off for a few minutes. The restaurant was still half full at this time and we had not even ordered desert yet. We had a party of 6 and felt like we were being rushed to leave."

"Everything was great. I did not like the sandwich I ordered but it was prepared well. It just sounded like something i would like but i should have gotten a steak. Everyone else's meal looked great. The service was great."

"Loved it!! We try to get to prime steak houses in any city we go to. We are big fans of Del Frisco's, Ruth's Chris, and others. The food and wine were excellent at III Forks. The sides are huge; 2 sides can be shared easily by 3 people (If you devour the delicious hot-out-of-the-oven bread first,make that 4 people). The only weak point was the bartender - didn't seem too knowledgeable and was not very helpful with suggestions, etc. Could step up the friendliness/attention to detail in that area. Not bad, just not a prime steak house level of service."

"III Forks is a reputable steak house out of Dallas. The one in Houston is in downtown and basically you have to valet if you want to eat there as there really isn't street parking nearby. The only dig I have for them is that the valet got a BIG dent in our car and hid it from us when we were leaving.
The food was delicious. I got the filet and I literally didn't use a knife, the fork cut the meat. It was plated on a plain white plate. Not an exciting presentation, but typical of steakhouses. The side was lobster mac n cheese. Wow, just wow! So rich and delicious! We also both had the III Fork salad and it was worth getting. Our waiter was extremely attentive, but again not too much. The noise level was more than I like."

"It was my mom's 70th birthday celebration - Waiter asked what are plans where to make sure to have enough time - well he failed. Reservation was at 6pm play at 7:30pm, salads came out at 6:30 and main course at 6:45 and of course they brought my mom the wrong steak which meant another 15 minutes before she got the right one. Than the waiter knowing we had to leave by 7:15 brings a slice of cake with a candle throws on the table and said at least make a wish and walk away. Becareful becuase he did not once asked if we wanted dessert, however that slice of cake was definitely on the bill. We were so rushed and ate in 15 minutes not a way wanted to celebrate my mom's birthday. We barely made it to the play!"

"We had a wonderful time celebrating our wedding anniversary here. The server was very good and attentive and knowledgeable. Food was beyond awesome; the filet is wonderful as are the 6 cheese potatoes. I would have preferred sitting in the dining room rather than in the corner of the bar area. "This was not the best or even close to the best "prime" steakhouse I've encountered recently. The meat was tough, even tough cooked to the right temperature. Others in the group did not enjoy the lobster bisque. The salads were fairly good but I had to doctor mine up with more dressing and pecans to enjoy it. One thing all enjoyed was the fresh bread and butter for which we requested a second serving.
The air conditioning was on on a very chilly Houston day and blowing so hard we had to ask, repeatedly, for the management to turn it off or down so we enjoy ourselves.
Overall, this was just a fair experience at best and I would not recommend this restaurant."

"The steaks at our table were flavorful and cooked perfectly to temp. However, the menu lacked any description of preparation and our waiter had no idea what items were.
The service killed any enjoyment for the evening when the waiter forgot my wife's drink only to bring it to me when reminded. He also took the wine list when we said we wanted water until we figured out what we were eating. This dinner had all of the possibilities of turning out great. The place was nice what we order was good. However because of the service and lack of description we simply stuck to steak and potatoes.
It has been a long time since I left a penny tip and never at a restaurant at this level but it happened Saturday."

"Run of the mill steak house with decent seafood options. Service was great, but the food was simply typical of any steakhouse. The scallops I had were not cleaned properly and still gritty with some sand. We were disappointed at the lack of Main lobster option. In addition the mushrooms that were served were cold and had no flavor to them.
The steak was cooked perfectly, and seasoned well. The scallops were seasoned and cooked properly as well. Overall it was delicious, but not worth the extra money, if I plan to spend this amount in the future I would visit another high end steak house."

"The reason why I would not recommend to go there is because the food was just okay. When I compare to Del Friscos, Sullivan's or Flemings I would definitely go to any of those three before III Forks again. My husband and I started with the seafood Medley appetizer and the crab cake was nothing spectacular, the scallop was chewy but the shrimp cocktail was good but not worth it for the Medley. The signature salad was delicious, but it was a salad. I had the steak trio special it was good, but then or side of mashed potatoes was cold. My husband had the 12oz filet and he did it was just okay."

"I would highly recommend the crab cake appetizer, but I was unfortunately disappointed with my steak. I had ordered it medium rare, meaning a hot pink center, and unfortunately it came medium with a cool pink, almost greyish, center. That was quite disappointing in a $50 steak. Several other people at our table for 12 also had slightly overcooked steaks, so maybe the chef was just having an off night. We had a large group, and our waiter was a bit pushy, but overall the experience was good."
