"The setting is nice, and the remodeling efforts have cleaned up the exterior look. We ended up in one of the back, cellar rooms, that got a bit stuffy as the evening progressed. The menu was as nice as always, and we and the three friends that joined us sampled a broad range of the appetizers, salads, and entrees. The mussells and poke were great, the burratta pear salad was kind of uneven... a clump of pears on one side, and a big chunk of barratta on top of the greens. Build your own salad, I guess? The lamb shank was a bit chewey and fatty, the chicken marsala was very good, as was the penne Bolognese and fettucine Alfredo. So... choose carefully, I guess, and if you don't like stuffy, ask for a table in the main dining room. Great wine"

"As several other reviews have said, we found the food to be excellent and the service to be spot on! Having read that the restaurant could be noisy, we asked for a table that would likely be quiet, and we were immediately accommodated by being seated just off the main room and by the wine closet. It was perfect! Even though this is a 30 minute drive from our home, I'm sure we will come back often."

"This was our third visit to Mangiamo's. We have been impressed each time. We

"The food was good- I was surprised by the quantity of food when it came to the table. The service was very nice as I would expect for such an established place in this price range. My only gripe is in the layout or the place and the very poor lighting (was this by design?) in the back. We were seated there early (6:45 pm) and the reservation process was top notch. My concern was in finding a nice quite place to enjoy with my family. The atmosphere in the back was more of too-dark-to-even read the menu. Maybe some people would like this but even the couples that were around us seemed surprised it was so dark. If the reason was to protect the wine, then I'd say it is silly to make your wine cellar a seating area."
