"Not too busy for Mothers Day lunch; probably didn't need a reservation. Host was indifferent, but server was friendly. Food was excellent Good variety on the menu including many vegetarian options."

"We both purchased items off the Indian portion of the menu, and they were delicious -- vegetable coconut curries. The serving sizes are generous. The service is excellent -- our waitress was very friendly, and the other staff greeted us warmly as we arrived and left."

"Food was fantastic. The waitress was not too friendly nor was the person who seated us who I think was the manager. Also, I checked the website prior to my reservation to view the menu and found that the prices listed were significantly lower than what the actual prices on the menu at the restaurant stated."

"I will return here because we loved the food and excellent service! The mezzo sampler was delicious and and ample...we had to take half of our entrees home! The gyro platter with roasted red potatoes and vegetables was awesome as was my chicken souvlaki. Both were still delicious the next day. They also have a creative list of martinis, I tried the fig which was very tasty."

"The waiter we had that night was definitely one of the very best we've ever had anywhere. He was very helpful, cheerful and polite. He really seemed to enjoy his job. The food was excellent Greek cuisine. We thought it a bit odd that the restaurant charged extra for pita bread on the side. No rolls came with our salads or dinner. Knowing that many people waste food I don't blame them for charging; it just seemed strange. We were not advised that it would cost extra when we asked for some bread.
All in all, it was a very enjoyable meal."

"We were seated near two large tables that constituted a large party. Our server also was serving this large group, and as a result, we had terrible service. Not only did she rarely appear at our table, she acted like serving our table was an extra effort that she didn't want. Although the food was great, the extremely poor service put a damper on our evening out. This is a much-loved neighborhood restaurant, so I was very disappointed in our experience."

"Our meal was inedible. We ordered from the Greek side of the menu. I had the combination appetizer plate, which gave me a selection of 5 or so Greek food items. The only food item that was acceptable was the salad. I have eaten and made Greek food most of my life and the flavors of the items on my plate were unrecognizable. Even the humus was not like anything I have seen or tasted before. My husband's dish of moussaka was cold, not tasty and not typical. We have eaten there several times before and had a much better meal and enjoyed the food. This time not so much. Unfortunately we will not go back after this experience."

"This was our third time dining at the Mad Greek and must say they are consistently above average on the food quality and quantity and the service continues to be just average. It took the waitress almost 20 minutes after we sat down to get our drink orders and for sure we missed getting a warm greeting from her. In fairness she did have a good number of tables going and did eventually warm up but to me it's first impressions that count. You MUST try the saganaki, it's worth every bite and great for sharing with your table. Beware the portion sizes are huge, we had enough for another dinner when we were done eating."

"The food was fantastic. We enjoyed lamb shank, fisherman's stew, and flat iron steak. The waiter was very friendly, but the service overall was a bit slow. it was probably due to the fact that we were there on a Saturday night."

"Server appeared abrupt and slightly rude, but we think it was maybe due to a staffing problem that particular evening since we did not have that experience before with the same server. Seemed in an extreme hurry to move things along! As always, however, we all enjoyed the food and atmosphere very much!"

"Good service, good food. Lamb shank and risotto were both cooked well, both delicious. Oh and the appetizer sampler with all the Greek snacks you could want was a great pick. Also, didn't know they had Indian food, look forward to going back to try it."

"We've been to the Mad Greek a couple times and both experiences were decent. The greek salads were ok, but the appetizer plate was terrific. Their meatball really stands out as well as the various sauces to dip food in. For a main entree, I enjoy their flank steak w/seasoned potatoes but if you really like gyro meat, there is a big plate of that as well. To finish, if they have it, get the baklava ice cream for a different twist or get the regular baklava of course."

"There was no one else at the restaurant! Our server was very nice and very professional, and the food was very good, however I felt like I had to leave since no one else was there at 9:30 at night. Another server said to us, as we left "Are you guys full now?" That was not cool."

"Waiter seemed like it was a hassle for us to be there. We didn't even get our drinks until after our food was brought out. Service was overall what you would expect on a busy night except it was 5pm and basically empty while we were there.. Food was great so can't say anything bad on that front."

"We only tried the Greek side of the menu and were pleasantly surprised by both the variety and quality of the food. Nice cocktail list, service was fairly prompt for how busy they were. My husband I truly enjoyed our first visit and will return to try their Indian cuisine. Definitely worth the trip!"

"Our service was really slow, like the server had too many tables to take care of, and not very efficient, only did one thing at a time instead of combining trips. Food was terrific and plentiful"

"The food and service was great. The only thing that I was disappointed in was the baklava. It was tough. I needed a knife to cut it. Flavor was great though. I definitely would go back. Love the fried kasseri cheese!"

"The presentation and taste of the food was good. The service lacked when it got busy but I did get everything I needed one way or another from the staff so I can't complain. My only real complaint, being a Greek Restaurant, is that the Baklava is not made in house.. It was cold, dense, impossible to cut through, and served over Hershey's syrup. Much to be desired."

"Went to the Mad Greek on a Saturday night with another couple that we dine out with often. Made the drive from the Akron/Canton area. The Mad Greek get's beaten up a bit in these reviews. The menu is split between Greek and Indian with some Lebanese thrown in too. The food has always been good. Used to make regular trips before kids and then with our kids but have not been there for a few years. All four of us enjoyed our meal. Had a bottle of wine at a reasonable price, apps, dinner and dessert. Apps are great. The baba is the best I have ever had and the pita bread is also the best. All of us including first-timers enjoyed our food. As always, though, service is a little slow."

"We used a groupon and now I know why they need to sell Groupons. The food used to be fantastic but now is hit or miss. The appetizer platter and Greek salads were delicious. The rest of the food not so much."

"I used to be a regular at the MG when I lived in the area. I revisited recently while back in Cleveland and was a little disappointed. There was less buzz, the food, while still very satisfying and good value came in enormous portions so that my entire party felt over-stuffed at the end, and the service was just OK."

"Went for lunch with 8 people. I think the waiter was the only one there, and also tending the bar. So service was not great (he was still very friendly, just a bit slow). But food was wonderful! Everyone enjoyed themselves."

"The chef is to be applauded. The rest of the staff not so much. Excellent entrees after a long wait on a slow Sunday night. We had to look for someone to seat our party. The waitress was disinterested at best. Give the chef a raise. Give the rest of the staff some training."

"Hadn't been in a while but intend to return soon. The saganaki was excellent and so was my lemon chicken but the moussaka was a miss and the pastitsio was a little heavy on the cinnamon. Our waiter was the star of the show; he made the evening excellent."
