"My wife and I shared an outstanding Valentine's Day dinner here. Great food, great wine, great service. We used to eat here often when there were few good choices on 9th Ave, but now with an abundance of neighborhood possibilities we haven't been back in some time. We will be coming here more often after being reminded of the quality of the meal and the very personable wait staff. Thanks for a great Valentine's Day experience!"

"Unfortunately it is the second time that I go for dinner at Puttanesa in three months given it and it will be the last one. Both times the service was truly terrible, with long periods at the table with no waiter coming by to take an order or see what is needed. I had figured that maybe the first time was just a bad night and I went back again on Valentine's Day night. It was even worse. There was no hostess at the front door and once seated we waited a good 20 minutes before a waiter even stopped by to take an order for drinks. They are not apologetic. There was a long wait to get the check and eventually to leave. The food is average at best for a NYC Italian, so much so that I am actually rather intrigued why this restaurant is so busy"

"We've eaten at Puttanesca a number of times. The food is usually delicious, well-prepared and equally well-served. The wine list has a great variety and many interesting types and is priced from moderate to quite expensive. All in all, an excellent choice for before theater dining. Note though that the only credit card they accept is American Express."

"Been twice now for brunch and I have to say it's great! The Service is charming and attentive. The food has been fine and even if something wasn't the best the kitchen had no problem remaking and/or changing the order. They let us sit for 3 hours with unlimited drinks. My kind of Brunch!"
