"The area around the restaurant is shady and once we entered the double doors it didn't matter. The dancers were entertaining but they could reduce the loud music. It was unbearable."

"We went there once and we will never go back again, I know the Moroccan food is one of the best but unfortunately, it was just poor of everything. However, ambience was more or less good. Hope you will make morocco pride by making good Moroccan food."

"Try not to go on weekends because the service is really bad...we waited 30 mins for our drinks which came with more ice than anything else. Even though I had made reservations I had to squeeze on one table Food was ok -- not that great -- though I did like the minced chicken starting dish. people are really friendly though and try to accommodate and make customers happy so I don't blame the folks there -- they were great. The belly dancing was fun - but I would not call this place Kid friendly."

"VERY NICE AND FRIENDLY SERVICE, NICE BELLY DANCER ENTERTAINMENT. PRE FIX MENU SELECTIONS WAS VERY PLENTIFUL. NO KIDS MENU AND DINNER WAS ABOUT TWO TO TWO AND HALF HOURS AND MOST KIDS GET ANSY. NO ENTERTAINMENT FOR KIDS. FOOD WAS DELICIOUS AND ARRIVED IN A TIMELY FASHION. LOVE THE HAND WASHING AT THE TABLE BEFORE FIRST COURSE AND BEFORE TEA AND DESSERT COURSE. VERY VERY DIM LIGHTING BUT LOW TABLES WITH FLOOR CUSHIONS MAKES FOR A GREAT TOUCH."

"The Menara Moroccan Restaurant has been a staple in San Jose for 30 years. I go out a lot and it is one of the ones I remember simply because it is unique. Funny thing is that just about everyone I mentioned it to has gone and recalls it fondly. It is more of an event then dinner. The scene is exotic, the food is good and the entertainment light hearted and fun."

"We were there to celebrate an anniversary. It was very enjoyable and the food excellent. I especially enjoyed the B’stilla. My nephew and his wife really enjoyed the ambiance and entertainment. It was an experience we would repeat."

"When you look back over your life and think of the best memories that you have, dining at the Menara Moroccan Restaurant will be on my list. The night with my best friends for a birthday party is one of my most fabulous experiences ever. I'll treasure it always. Thank you! :-)"

"Its been a while since had been here. I had a few friends that wanted to try it out and it was a great setting. The belly dancing show was great, but I felt it was a little kid inappropriate. It seems that the dancers now are having patrons put dollar bills in their pants. It felt like a cheap strip club where dancers were begging for dollars. I thought this place was better than that. Other than cheapening the dancers it was a great experience, well worth going to."

"First of all, this place was totally different from what they explained on their website. Second, it was my first time there with family and friends and I encouraged everyone to go there but it really embarrassed me because no one got enough food and the way they were serving there dishes was really wrong I thought we got meal for two people but we were charged for five people I really felt bad for being there on my husband’s birthday and looking into that restaurant a week before going there I will never ever go there or recommend anyone even my friends and family thought it was horrible but the people and servers were very friendly and helpful. A waste of time and Money going to this place and nothing is the same as they show on their"

"This was a very interesting experience. The food was good, service was terrible (particularly the two young women who were the hosts/order takers), interesting atmosphere. I think it would be fun to come back with a large group who is looking to have a good time. Not so good for a quiet night with a few people."

"Really excellent food. We came early and so caught just the first part of the show, which was fine with us as it becomes too noisy to easily talk after the show starts."

"Haven't been to a Moroccan restaurant in 20+ years. There were six of us in our group. We had a blast. Had fun making the guys get up and dance with the belly dancers."

"Food was delicious and great value. The service was friendly and efficient. Menara is an old SJ favorite but it is starting to look a bit old. Still, highly recommended for great Moroccan cuisine at a good price!"
