Casual sophisticated dining on Lake Mahopac. The Terrace Club’s name and design is modeled after the supper clubs of the 1940s and features dark wood, copper tiling, and crystal chandeliers. In addition to indoor and outdoor dining, there are two bars and an outdoor lounge. Throughout the restaurant swing music plays.

"We went for Mother's day brunch. Julie and her team bent over backwards to accomodate our many changes to our reservations. However, once there we had to ask for bread when we noticed other tables were receiving it and we hadn't. Had to ask for refills because the server didn't return very often. Our seating was weird because there were several open tables but we ended up on the end in a high traffic area - which included opening and closing of the outside door and it was cold! We never were offered dessert. Do they have dessert? We felt 'scooted out"."

"Went on Mothers day and expected crowds and terrible service. Boy were we surprised. Picked the perfect time to go after brunch and before dinner. Group of 6 ordered drinks, appettisers and main course. Since it was a special day the menu was limited. yet everything we ordered was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. The lobster ravioli was seasoned perfectly. The filet mignon was tender and the side mashed potatoes were the best I have ever had. The desert were also good. The only negative was that the cappachinno machine was not working. All in all a great meal."

"I always eat at The Terrace Club on Mother's Day whether brunch or dinner it is always a fine dining experience. The calamari and diver scallops, cajun swordfish, lobster ravoili and ceasar salad were all delicious. This is my favorite restaurant. The drink menu is awesome!!!! The view of the lake is just beautiful!!!!"

"I was less than thrilled with our Mother's Day at the Terrace Club. I had checked the website numerous times to make sure that there was not a special menu, as we were going specifically for items from the brunch menu. Nothing was posted; MD was not even mentioned. When we arrived there was a very limited menu specifically for MD and no other options. We were seated late after about 20 mins - no complimentary drink was offered. We ordered drinks which for some reason were withheld until our food came (and then served after the food). We had to request butter with the bread 3 times. 2 of the entrees were served with incorrect sides (per the menu) as well as a very heavy cream sauce that was also not mentioned on the menu. Less than pleased."

"The food was awesome, service people were really great and the view of lake mahopac was outstanding.The tuna sliders are just simply phenomenal, would come back and order two servings (six sliders) as a main course ! The calamari was just sensational, very unique batter, cooked perfectly but would have like a little more dipping sauce since the helping of calamari was nice and big. Love the popcorn to snack on while we waited for the food. The salmon was OK wished I went with a different fish but the beans and green potatoes were absolutely wonderful. Will come back on special occasions again !"

"Called the day before our reservation to confirm and let them know my wife was celebrating her birthday. Very perfunctory but cheerful in responding to my request to do something special for her. They said they would sing happy birthday and put a candle in a piece of cake. None of this happened although several other patron got this "Treatment" throughout the evening. What was odd was our server wished my wife happy birthday. They really dropped the ball on this. We let the Terrace Club know we were running late and would be late for our reservation (30 minutes). They were cheerful and accommodating. Expect for the Birthday hiccup the food and ambiance were superb!"

"As ever good food. Good service. We were one of the only tables in the restaurant - v quiet.
As our meal was finishing the wait staff started sweeping around us, clearing our table
every few seconds and the music had gone off... We felt as if we were being hurried out.
Granted it was a Wednesday evening but it was only 9.30pm when we were leaving!

"We had a wonderful lunch! We ate from the Restaurant Week menu. There was an interesting variety to choose from, and the shrimp sliders and rosemary chicken soup were stand outs! The service was friendly and attentive. We love that they serve you delicious popcorn instead of bread! "Overall experience was good. My major complaint-there were 4 in our party, the table we were seated at was a 1/2 booth, where my husband & I sat, the other couple we were with were in the chairs. The booth side was not well reinforced, every time we moved or the people on the other side moved we got pushed around, this was not comfortable. So my recommendation-don't sit in a booth!"

"We had a terrible experience at the Terrace Club, which is too bad becuase the location is nice & the food is quite good. The service, however was as bad as I've ever had. We were 1 of 3 tables in the main restaurtant (there was a party in back), and we got truly innatentive service. We ordered our food around 1:30pm and it wasn't served until after 3pm. And one meal came out 10 minutes later than that (and it was wrong to boot!). After complaining to the manager(who was on her laptop the whole time), they tried to compensate us by giving free desert, but everyone was so annoyed we just didnt want it. I will never be back after yesterday."

"We found the service to be a just a little lackluster, and not particularly inviting. The atmosphere was a little dreary, and depressing. When we first sat we both got wobbly chairs, my wife switched to another wobbly chair. I kept mine. The food was the highlight. I had the tuna and salmon parfait, and it was excellent; refreshing and a little spicey (wasabi). We shared a mushroom pasta dish that was decadent, rich, and absolutely delicious. My wife had the Caesar Salad which was kind of average, and given the prices should not feature croutons from a box. For an entree I had a sea bass special prepped with asian flavors over soba noodles. The fish was perfectly cooked and delicious, however the dish was a little oily underneath."

"Ihave gone to this restaurant several times. Love the decor & location... but at lunch time there was mabye 2 other tables occupied and the service was so slow. Ordered an appetizer then steak sandwich & sliders (2 people). The sliders were just on a plate w/ nothing ont hem (looked bare ) they could have thrown some lettuce or sliced tomato. The steak sanwich had melted cheese and when it acme out the cheese was cold - it was like it sat there for a long time after it was prepared. On top of that it was ordered as medium-well (the steak) & it came out rare. Also, we ordered dessert - served coffedd in a minute desert took 20 minutes & it was a choc lava cake - came out overcooked no choclate (ggoey) in middle & it was cold - so was coffee."

"My husband & I had a wonderful time ... It was date night and what made it special was the singer "joe"( it was a supper club!) So nice so romantic , the Singer had a great voice & sang Sinatra . "I live Locally and am thankful that a decent restaurant has taken over.My wife and i eat here often and enjoy it. Ive had business lunches there excellent as well,maybe could use a lunch menu. We give the Terrace Club a HIGH Rating."

"I've been a number of times...and my continued patronage is indication of how I feel about the place. I really like the menu... the view of the lake, etc. Having the Terrace Club as one of the dining choices in Mahopac really is a blessing to those that appreciate a higher end dining experience."
