Located at the gateway to Eastport, Annapolis' historic maritime district, The Rockfish is minutes away from the city dock, the Naval Academy, and the Maryland State Buildings. Fresh seafood, great burgers, pasta, steaks, pizzas, and more are expertly prepared in their open kitchen featuring a ceramic hearth oven and a mesquite rotisserie grill. Sample an assortment of shellfish from their raw bar and enjoy a beverage from their thoughtfully selected beer and wine list. Open for dinner daily lunch on Saturday and Sunday jazz brunch, The Rockfish takes pride in providing quality food, beverage, and service in a warm, casually elegant setting.
"Went there for Sunday brunch. Food was good but not enough of a selection of brunch items and having the air conditioner on did not help. Food cooled off too quickly. My mom had to ask for waitress to heat her plate in the microwave."

"Made reservations for 3:45 PM on Mothers' Day. Got into Annapolis earlier than expected and The Rockfish was accommodating in moving our reservation up to 3 PM which was much appreciated. We enjoyed a good bottle of wine. Went with the calamari and mussels for appetizers. Calamari had little taste besides the batter which was bland. The mussel which were made with a tomato-based stock tasted like someone just poured a can of Campbells Tomoato soup over them.We had the crab cakes, rockfish and shrimp and crake pasta for dinners. Not overly impressed with the crab cakes. They were just OK. The rockfish was very good. A little over-priced for the quality of food we received in my opinion."

"Great night out. Service was outstanding and the food was great. we were never rushed and when the drink I had ordered did not tast good at all, it was replaced --no questions asked. Fantastic. We have recommended the Rockfish to at least 10 couples already and we are looking forward to returning soon.
Thank you Rockfish"

"Rockfish got a pretty good review in the Post so we were looking forward to it. The ambiance was nice, with a large bar separated from the dining room by a glass wall, which keeps the noise down in the dining room. The service was wonderful. Drinks reasonable ($8 or 9 coctails, not the $11-15 we're seeing too often). Menue is somewhat limited for entrees, but enough variation for 4 of us. Food was well presented and good. We shared the crabcake dinner and the waitress was very accommodating...did not make us feel like chinces. We'll go back."

"One of the few restaurants in Annapolis that truly pays attention to where your food comes from. Sustainable and conscious sourcing, certified "True Blue" meaning that all the crabs they serve come from the Chesapeake Bay (as opposed to Indonesia where many of the crabs served here are imported from.
Lots of creative and interesting menu items and preparations. Would definitely go back!"

"We enjoyed the feel of this place. I would definitely return to try more dishes. The Blackened Catfish and Pan Seared Rockfish were outstanding. Service was excellent and very personable. I would recommend this restaurant everyone to enjoy!"

"Most of the food was good, not amazing, but good. The rock fish, was good, the mahi tacos were great and the mussels were great. The $10 glass of wine was terrible and I did not see any other wine on the menu that I would choose. Service was uneven. We were there during restaurant week and the dining room was not that busy, however the bar was packed. Not sure if Rockfish is a bar or fine restaurant???"

"My wife and I arrived excited to dine at Rockfish especially on Valentines Day. However when I gave my name to the receptionist as I made my reservations through OpenTable I was told that I did not have a reservation. I looked at my phone and as it turned out I entered the wrong date in OpenTable and my reservation was actually the day before. I ask the receptionist if there as anything she could do and she told me wait and she would see. Well we waited for a few minutes and she came back and said there would not be anything available. Wow ! my bad but really embarrassing in front of my wife. I thought the receptionist could have been friendlier ! We went to the Chart House and without reservations they took us right away."

"My girlfriend and I stumbled upon The Rockfish a few months ago on accident... We returned for Valentine's Day and the dining experience was just as great as the first time. The food is amazing and the service is great."

"Went for valentines day. They had our rservation and we were seated quickly. My date and I shared the Bison burger and Rockfish entre. The burger was outstanding. The rockfish was disappointing for the $32 price. Very small portion and a bit dry. Their menu is limited. If I go back it will be for lunch."

"First time to this restaurant. We went there for seafood but they were out of their signature Rockfish. Had a crab and pasta dish which was excellent. The oysters were great as was the calamari. Relaxed and casual atmosphere. I would definitely go there again."

"The good news is-Beautiful restaurant, friendly staff, great bar with comfortable leather chairs and good bands playing music. The bad news is-the food was poor. The sweet potatoes tasted and smelled burnt, the pizza looked and tasted like it came out of a freezer package, the snakefish was tough, chewey and a creepy choice, the crab cakes were just ok but prob bc they are out of season. I had heard not so good reviews from friends and online of The Rockfish but was hopeful to give it a try and I will not be going back until they change the menu."
