The Old Port Sea Grill, located in the heart of the Old Port, serves the freshest seafood prepared simply so that you can taste the flavor and quality of the product. We offer the largest selection of oysters on the half shell in town, with varieties from across New England and Canada, providing you with a unique experience here in Portland. Of course, we always offer a traditional steamed Maine lobster and one of the best lobster rolls in Portland.
Take in the city streets from our picture windows while relaxing with friends, entertaining business associates or watching our flat screen TVs. We have sixty four seats in our dining room and over fifty in our bar and lounge area, featuring our custom-built marble and concrete bar, allowing plenty of room for larger parties and gatherings in either area. We always feaure local micro brews on tap and have a specialty cocktail menu that changes seasonally. Be sure to check out our 500 gallon aquarium, one of the largest in the area.
"We got a great window table! Service was efficient. I had the lobster which tasted great but was not warm. Next time I will crack it myself. We both had the chicken curry soup which was very spicy and tasty. No room for dessert!"

"I have eaten her Three times now, and the food has always been excellent. Fresh fish well served. The prices are resonable for a nice place in Old Port, service was fair could have been more attentive. Will be back"

"This was a business dinner with folks from away. Food was just OK, we were really concerned when we got to the dining room on a Wednesday night at 7pm and no one was eating. There were a few folks at the bar area though. Too many good places to eat in Portland for something like named the 'Old Port Sea Grill' to be a so-so dinng experience. Better step up your game or you will be gone."

"Very good food. Restaurant is fairly expensive, but not too bad. Table arrangements a little "out in the middle of the room" felt a little odd. Very good service by wait staff"

"Enjoyed everyone there - very pleasant waitstaff. Food very good, however, way too much butter on flounder dish (which is why I could not give top review marks for 'fit for foodies'. Had enough leftover oils on dinner plate that it could be poured off. Other than that, my party of three enjoyed our dining experience there & would consider returningl."

"Our dining experience was very close to the reviews we had read prior to making our reservation. The ambience was a little noisy but overall was what we were looking for. My wife and I are avid cooks using nearly all fresh foods with very few prepared ingredients and are very conservative on our use of salt in our home recepies. So we sense the salt use in the restaurant foods and think they all should adjust their recipes to reduce the salt amounts. I would pass this to Old Port Sea Grill too."

"Dont waste your time and money at this place-the mussels were steamed in chicken broth, the swordfish tasted and felt like chicken and even the bread was bad!"

"Our birthday celebration was perfect from the beginning with casual drinks at the bar. Great attentive staff that knows the menu and pace of the dining moment. We loved every minute spent there! Definitely a place we will be back to someday when we visit. The food was delicious - and being with a "foodie", there wasnt a complaint about anything in site. Accolades on presentation and flavor from the starters to dessert. So glad we had this experience! Dan really made it a night to remember!"

"The ambiance would have been rated higher if it weren't for the acoustics due to the open ceilings, making it difficult to have a conversation with anyone who is not seated directly next to you."

"We ate at the Old Port Sea Grill on Sat night after not being there for a couple years. Not much has changed... Limited menu, service good, but a little slow, atmosphere average. Our experience didn't leave me with the feeling I wanted to rush back soon. The bar is very nice and the oysters were excellant. There wasn't really anything bad about our experience, but compared with all the other great restaurants in the Old Port area, this one just doesn't stand out in the crowd."

"Our flounder was over cooked and not very good, especially since our waitress said it was her favorite. The hake was a better choice for our friends."

"Blasted by frigid air every time door was opened (they desperately need a double door entrance) Swordfish was pancake-thin, an embarrassment to a great seafood town."
