"a solid choice that we go to often -- perhaps more for lunch than dinner. but for our recent Sunday lunch, I found everything about "good" with no nice surprises. No special breakfast breads with the meal or biscotti afterwards with coffee. no fruit especially citrus on the menu. barley-focused specials seemed a little out of season. still like this restaurant, but would like to love it again."

"We both had the specials and it was very good. All the wines are Italian, so be sure to ask the server about the wine list unless you are familiar with Italian grapes. I loved the green linguine. It was homemade from scratch that day, I rarely see homemade pasta, and I could definitely taste the difference. We came to this restaurant because it was a short distance from our hotel. And the atmosphere is great. You mostly see people there in business attire, but saw a table or two of families. I seemed a little under dressed in jeans. We actually made reservations on a Friday night about an hour before, so the availability was great too."

"Coco Pazzo Cafe has been our favorite Chicago restaurant for over 8 years. We go once or twice a year, and have never been disappointed. Excellent food, attentive but not intrusive service, good wine list, warm decor includes original murals in the style of Modigliani."

"One of two Coco Pazzo's. The other is finer dining and more upscale. This is like they say...a Café.
more casual in every way, It has valet parking ($12 for first 3 hrs then up to $15)
It was fun but from what I sense the other one would be my next stop even though it is pricer. There were times that
our friends had to get the attention of the staff as well as asking for bread several times. Nothing that would not
bring me back. The owner (Jack) did show up and he did come to each table...of course he knew our friends personally.
Great to have conversation and not be rushed. Worth trying for lunch as well."

"Delicious food and excellent service. The only quibble I have is that the tagliatelle with lamb ragout I ordered (that day's pasta special) turned out to be a bit on the dry side. The fresh pasta must have absorbed most of the liquid. The flavor and texture were excellent, however. All other parts of the meal--soup, appetizer, my husband's entree, dessert, wines--were excellent."

"Coco Pazzo Cafe was exactly what I expected - it's got a low key, cafe, neighborhood feel and some delicious italian food. No one in our group left disappointed with their meal but it also wasn't something to write home about either.
We'll probably be back if only for the crazy unique and delicious bruchetta choices."

"Coco Pazzo Cafe is always an easy and predictably good neighborhood place to dine. Their pasta and anitpasta are delicious. The seven vegetable salad one of the very best salads in the city. I also love their wine offerings both red and white and by the glass and bottle. The service is always very relaxed, accomodating and friendly. In summer their outdoor seating is abundant in a sophistaicated urban setting."

"Being from New York and in Chicago with my wife on a short pleasure weekend the Coco Pazzo Cafe was recommended by a colleague when I asked him for a good Italian restaurant in the Loop area. He immediately told me to go to Coco Pazzo or Coco Pazzo Cafe. Hoping for a slightly more casual experience I choose the Cafe and do not regret it one iota.
The food was excellent, the bruschetta appetizers exquisite and the grilled pulpo unbelievably tender, almost buttery in texture. Our main courses, rigatoni with peas in a cream bolognese sauce and a seafood stew were equally excellent.
The waitstaff was superb, attentive yet not in the way. All in all a greate experience! Can't wait to return :-)"

"The service was really good. We had a late lunch there where there was much people in the restaurant so it's nice and quiet. We ended up staying till 4pm when they started setting up for dinner. But they never rushed us and kept coming up to fill our drinks. Great food as well. I'd recommend the mussels in antipasti."

"We were most disappointed in our dining experience at Coco Pazzo. We have eaten at Coco Pazzo in the past, and had a very nice time, but this experience was far different. The staff was simply rude and acted as if we were doing them a favor for dining at their sub par restaurant. The food was OK, but nothing to rave about. We rarely write bad reviews about restaurants, but in this case, it was worth mentioning, as we hope the restaurant can turn it around quickly. The place was quite crowded so it appears the unfriendly wait staff has not yet impacted the restaurants success. With a city full of fantastic restaurants, we would not waste our night dining again until this restaurant recalls they are in the hospitality business."
