"Always excellent food, service and ambience at Adelle's. I have been here many times and always had a great meal. The staff is friendly and helpful. The food is wonderful. This is the best reataurant in the Western Suburbs and as good as any in Chicago. Come try it and enjoy the experience!"

"Adelle's is located in downtown Wheaton on the other side of the train tracks (right in front of Wheaton Towers), the restaurant is elegant and quiet with an interesting menu. Our waiter was a little on the new side but he was nice enough. Food was good and there are other choices we would like to try. Prices are high we thought."

"Took a childhood neighbor and his wife to dinner at Adelle's, since I have never heard negative comments and only praise from those I have introduced to this wonderful restaurant. On an ordinarily quiet night, it was well attended. Service was very pleasant and left us plenty of time to chat before taking our orders. I would like to see more attention to the recommended "business casual" dress. Skip the jeans, folks. I don't know if this restaurant is intended to be "kid friendly" but would prefer that families with young children (noisy ones at that) be seated together, away from elderly, like ourselves, with sensitive ears. The food was wonderful, the wine we chose was outstanding. Overall, and outstanding experience."

"I had a great experience at Adelle's on Saturday night. My husband, baby, and dad were with me, and we ate outside--it was gorgeous weather and we didn't feel self-conscious having an 8 month old baby with us like we probably would have had we been inside the restaurant. I had the risotto and watermelon salad, my dad had the lobster bisque and peppered steak, and my husband had the whitefish. We split the strawberry rhubarb cobbler and coconut rice pudding for dessert. All the food was excellent. We also got a bottle of cabernet sauvignon that was good. Our server was excellent. Great time was had by all, and I recommend the restaurant. We may go back for another special occasion."

"Always a treat. Shared risotto special as appetizer, delicious, as always. Risottos change daily, & not every restaurant gets risotto right. Adelles' never misses. Great watermelon & watercress salad, so refreshing & light. Waiter, John, was excellent. So enthusiastic about his menu & made everything sound wonderful, hard to choose, but he helped steer us with that as well. The Copper River salmon was special - only available a very short period of time each year, so we had to try it. Outstanding! So flavorful but not "fishy," rich, deep color. Really nice. Even the bread at Adelle's is noteworthy. No quicker way to lower my opinion of a nice restaurant than mediocre bread. We go regularly & never had anything but thoroughly enjoyable meal"

"Took my girlfriend here for her birthday. Had the very seasonal Copper River Salmon that tasted like it was caught moments ago in Alaska and served with minimal seasonings allowing the natural flavors to melt in our mouths. It was so good I wish I ciuld have had another for dessert. Our server was very pleasant and accomodating. As a previous reviewer noted, we didn't order any dessert, but after bein g questioned which dessert we would have ordered, they brought us the black cow compliments of the house. Will definitelybe goi g back now that we've experienced Adelle's.
For anyone that's questioning the location; they are no longer on College Ave. Their new location is on Liberty St south of the tracks."

"The reviews of Adelle's are so correct! This place is soooo good. The food was amazing. Our server's name was john. He was great and timely. He made the experience exceptional.
If I lived in the area this would definitely be a staple in my weekly dinning routine. I live in DC and typically find that most restaurants and servers do not compare to the high level and quality of service John gave us. The food was excellent. Adelle's offers many choices that are well seasoned. The meats are deliciously tender and come with mouth watering and savory side dishes.
I recommend this place to anyone who wants a calm atmosphere, a great meal....and of course John! :-)"

"We were looking for something different in the Western Suburbs. Open Table reviews and photos of the website/menu led us to Adelle's, where the ambiance was upbeat and not as "big box" as many surburban restaurants; the waiter was enthusiastic, attentive and seasoned; and the food was first rate. There were so many appealing options on the main menu and then the watier delivered an extensive list of specials. Choosing was difficult - so we'll go again and again to try some of the other menu items."

"We visited on a Thursday night for the first time. The place was over 3/4 full! Menu is very diverse. We both ordered Amberjack off the "specials" menu. Big mistake! It was horrific tasting and we both sent it back (for the record, we have never done this at any of the hundreds of restaurants we've eaten at). We both reordered: Parmesan chicken and pot roast. Those were amazingly good and delicious! Loved the presentations, too. Nothing understated there! So, we recommend this restaurant, but stay away from the fish entrees."

"My wife and I first tried Adelle's a couple months ago and liked it so much that my wife wanted to return for her birthday. We sat outside on the spacious patio and enjoyed the great evening. We opted to share a salad and get a couple other small plates to share. The portions and quality of the dishes were fantastic and the service was just as good. I had mentioned on my Open Table reservation that we were celebrating my wife's birthday, but no one mentioned anything about it until we decided to pass on dessert. It was then that our server brought out a dessert (strawberry shortcake) with a birthday candle in it! I wasn't expecting anything to come of my reservation note, but the gesture was a great ending to an already-great meal."

"We went to Adelle's on Thursday for the featured "live Jazz". We ate outside, had great service but the food was not as exeptional as our first visit. The fish was over cooked and dry. Salads were great. We moved into the bar to listen to the music. We found a 2 piece group. While the guitarist played the sax player was texting. Pretty lame."

"We went there for Mother's Day on the Saturday evening prior, and we all enjoyed the food very much. There were at least 8 main courses I wanted to try. The food was perfectly prepared and delicious. There is no kids menu, but they do have a parmesan chicken breast entree with cheddar mashed potatoes that both of my kids enjoyed. We've been there two times now. I will definitely go back."

"We were late for our reserved time (due to a delayed flight) and the staff was very understanding. Our waiter was friendly and attentive. Since I eat a semi-vegetarian diet (including fish), the options were limited. My husband chose the tortilla-crusted tilapia which was very flavorful, while I chose the "salmon special". My dish was "fine", but lacked spice or "wow factor". Our rating criteria is, "Would we crave the food and want to go back?" My husband gave a resounding "yes", I was a bit more reserved as I wasn't "wowed" at that price-point, although I would give it a second chance (and order the tilapia)!"

"Went to Adelle's for the first time Saturday night and we had a great time. The service was definitely five stars...our server was knowledgeable, thoughtful and provided great suggestions. The dinner was delicious and the portions were generous. The bill came to about $130 with tip, so be prepared to spend a little money, but it's worth it."

"there is not anything special about this restaurant. I have received better service and for for a whole lot less $ and service leaves a whole lot to be desired. My wife did not like anything from our table, glasses, wine m starter plates and did not even eat her dnner, very disappointed."

"First impression, loved the architecture and subtle railroad references, being located next to the tracks. Very comfortable, relaxed yet refined atmosphere. Service was excellent and personable. Great wine offerings by the glass. All the food, from bread and butter, to salads, entrees and desserts, were wonderfully prepared and satisfying. We were celebrating my 18 year old son's birthday, and they brough him their fabulous chocolate mousse with raspberry sauce. I am first and foremost a foodie, while my husband's top reason to return to a restaurant would be ambiance, and we both loved Adelle's and look forward to returning."

"No vegetarian entree on this menu. Unbelievable in this day and age.
They did make a very good vegetarian risotto for me when I asked, but I feel that they should have at least one option on their menu at all times. Many people now are vegetarian and will not go to a restaurant that does not make this readily available."

"Adelle's has been a favorite of ours for 5 or 6 years. We could always count on really good and inventive food. Saturday night was a HUGH disappointment. I hope they were just having an off night since it was just not good. Our salads were warm, burger sliders were like a rock(we ordered them med rare), the grouper was very mediocre, pasta disappointing, even the sugar creme pie was not good. I do so hope that when we next visit it will be like the Adelle's we so liked before. Also two of the beers that were ordered were delivered to the table wrong."

"Celebrating our third wedding anniversary was very special due to the lovely setting (quiet with a little music in the background, beautiful venue and tables placed where can 't hear others), fabulous good and attentive service. "Adelle's is a neighborhood favorite and a very nice experience. But it just occurred to me that what makes Adelle's outstanding is the reliability. Service, food, ambiance always there. Have been regular customers since the beginning and have never had a bad experience. I think that counts for a lot. There are a lot of nice restaurants to choose from. Nice to be sure you're going to have a good experience."

"It was our first time there and I was celebrating my birthday so I trusted that all the reviews I had read would be honest ones. Everyone was warm and inviting and our server was excellent. The food was absolutely delicious. Very fresh and tasty. There wasn't one complaint from any of us. The four of us could talk easily and hear each other. There was music but at an enjoyable level. I had the unbelievable root beer float for dessert (it wad my birthday after all) and they even brought it with a candle. The bill was fair for what we ate and drank. The four of us agreed that we would definitely return."

"The restaurant has a nice feel, but is not well enough lighted to allow for easy reading of the menu, for example. Even after having been notified of a birthday the occasion was missed. The server, rather than offering go take the ordered dessert off the bill, brought an unwanted second. The 1st was removed only when we protested. The loin with prosciutto was overdone and lacked taste. For the price and reputation, we were disappointed."
