"Mothers Day 2013. My son had the bone-in ribeye, I ordered the boneless ribeye and my wife had a fish dish. My son ordered his rare and I ordered mine medium-rare and they both came out roughly one level more cooked than ordered. My boneless ribeye was substantially reduced in portion as it came bone-in even though the menu said boneless. When asked, the waiter said this was quite normal and the menu didn't GUARANTEE the boneless ribeye would actually be boneless and seemed surprised we were ignorant enough to not realize that. The house wines were quite good and the desserts were great but the entree's fell FAR short of the $240 bill ($290 after gratuity). I cannot recommend the steaks for quality nor the restaurant for value."

"My wife and I go to Chicago Prime for all our special occasions.The bar area is a fun, vibrant place to have a drink before dinner. The main dinner room is romantic and cozy. The owners are constantly walking the floor checkng on guests and make certain everything is in order. The steaks are tender, juicy and full of flavor. The side dishes are big enough to split. It is the service that keeps us coming back again and again. The staff take a lot of pride in their craft from, knowing their cuts of meat to predicting what the customer needs."

"Fantastic food and the best waitstaff we have ever encountered, ever. The steaks were cooked to perfection. The various stages of done requested were each achieved to perfection and the sides were amazing. The food is wonderful and exactly what you think of when you think steakhouse in Chicago. The service was without question attentive without being intrusive.No water glass ever got past half empty and the bread basket was filled with fresh, warm bread. My daughter stepped away from the table and in the few minutes she was gone, her napkin was folded, her drink refilled and her flatware replaced. I cannot express adequately the level of care. If you are looking for a special place for dinner, this is it."

"The overall experience was absolutley outstanding. When was the last time the Owner of the restaurant greeted you? At this restaurant everytime I have been there I was greeted.. And all other customers were greeted too.
The server was very attentive to our every need. The King crab was superb, and the bone in Filet was mouth watering. "I am hungry for this Filet just writing about it" Every element of dining here was excellent.
If you eat here you will not be disappointed. You get what you pay for.. I cannot wait to get back there next year.."

"I didn't enjoy the steak; I don't like the way they prepare it. It was flavorful but didn't melt in my mouth or stick out from much better steaks I've had. I'm always surprised when restaurants don't have iced tea as an alternative drink option to sodas. It appears that this restaurant is not progressing with the times and with client demand. They don't have a kid's menu so even though the waitress was considerate of my son it's not a child accommodating restaurant."

"When I had made the reservation, I did not know the Dining Area was not open until 4:00 so we sat in the Bar area, asking for a Booth; Since we had the reservation at 4:00, the place was all ours and we had the best service from the Waiter. Food was the best and my Boyfiend was able to get a special cut of the Porterhouse and he was extremely happy!
Will definately be back for those special occasions and I might suggest this for my next Girls night out since your location is only 15 minutes from where I live in Rolling Meadows."

"Great steaks and seafood. Was very surprised to see a grilled octopus appetizer that was extremely fresh and tasty! Was very impressed by service. Pricing is comparable to a Ruth Chris type of steak house, but I believe this was a much better experience overall as had more personal attention to preparing food exactly how ordered. Think has to do with fact is privately owned vs large corporate steakhouses as owner actually stopped by table to see how everything was. Would definitely recommend and return again."

"Our 7th anniversary will be never forgotten;) great service, food, ambiance and great attitude towards customers. Even hot a ley lime pie as a treat with a little candle. I could not remember the name of the server, originally he was from Albania(we dared to ask) . He was simply excelent, did not miss even a little spot, food came in time. Great place . It 's a little pricey, but it is all worth it. Thanks a lot!!!!!"

"We had a fantastic experience at Chicago Prime. The service was awesome, the sett.in. g was awesome and the food was out of this world. There will be no questions asked the next time we need a fantastic evening out, Chicago Prime is now our place. What an experience for the first time ever being there. Totally impressed. "All I heard from our table is oohs and aahhs. Food, steak was greeaat! The best porterhouse ever. You'd think if you have it well done, it's going to be tough but OMG. It was sooooo tender and juicy. I don't mind paying that much , it's worth it!"

"Waited 25 minutes with our reservation and service was slow. One of our group of four had to send back an overcooked steak. This is normally a favorite, hope this was an off night and not a permanent deterioration in standards."

"A great place for a special dinner. Due to personal reasons my wife and I delayed our Valentines dinner a couple of weeks. We decided to go here and absolutely enjoyed it here. She had a bone in filet that was cooked to perfection and I had a chef’s special prime rib enhanced with Cajun seasoning suggested by our waiter. The food was simply marvelous and so was the wait staff. George the owner stopped by during his table visit rounds and chatted with us. What a wonderful people loving guy, it put a special touch on the evening. He also sent us a special desert on the house for being new customers. We definitely plan on going back for another dinner out some day."

"My husband and I were trying to go to our usual steakhouse restaurant and they were booked. I had read a lot of positive reviews which brought us here. The Food was amazingly good. Service was fun. We had a booth in the lounge which was fun and lively on a Saturday Night. They event had live music. I will definitely be here again. I guess my only suggestion for the restaurant is when smokers go out on the enclosed terrace, the smoke comes into the lounge and gets a little stinky. Not sure if there is anything they can do about it."

"This was the perfect place to take my parents out for a 'thank you' dinner! The food is amazing! To start, we had the sauteed calamari and colossal shrimp cocktail (BIG shrimp!) for appetizers - both were very well prepared. The entrees at our table included the ribeye, 10 oz filet, and 12 oz prime rib - all perfectly cooked as specified and so flavorful! Side dishes we ordered included: wild rice pilaf, julienned vegetables, sauteed spinach, and potatoes au gratin (Delicious, very large portions - enough to share and still have leftovers!). For dessert, we ordered a tiramisu and creme brulee to share along with 2 glasses of scotch for the gents. Every bite was savored and the service is always impeccable! Hope to be back soon!"
