"We enjoyed the ease in making a reservation; service was great - waitress very personable and helpful. No waiting for long periods of time. Food brought out to all of us together and served well. "We went to Kaiser Grille for Mother's Day. Didn't know what to expect. Location was central, ambiance was lacking, service mediorce. BUT, the grilled filet mignon(not the "medallions") was SUPERIOR, perhaps the BEST filet mignon we've ever had! Taste, texture, softness, melt-in-your-mouth quality were beyond excelent. Also had the scallops, which were excellent in their own right. But NOTHING has ever compared to the filet mignon that night. Thanks Kaiser Grille. We'll be back to see if you can do it again!"

"Dined with another couple on a Saturday evening. Hostess was able to accommodate our request and sat us outside (facing Palm Canyon). Great for people watching. Service was good; food was ok to Good. My husband and I had the seared ahi tuna with mushroom risotto. The tuna did not have much flavor, but the risotto was good. Our friends had the sea bass which they said was good. We had a nice dining experience."

"Inconsistent. The server struggled, however there were several food items that fell far below average. The soup du jour, a Manhattan Clam Chowder was absurdly over salted. The crab cakes over done and apparently placed under a heat lamp fpr too long...the sauce under the cakes and the silly parslety sprig were browned and the cakes themselves dark, dry, fishy and less appealing than cat food from the tin. No inquiry on the part of the staff was made on why plates were returning with only a few bites missing.
We were celebrating a birthday. The waither didn't offer us desert menus, instead dropped of a thawed piece of re-frozen cheesecake with sad macerated berries and four forks. So wrong in so many ways."

"On short notice, less than 30 minutes, I made reservations for 7 people at the height of the dinner hour (7:30 PM). We were accommodated without any problems and had excellant service. The food was prepared and served without a glitch and were never rushed.
Great place in the heart of Palm Springs to lunch or dinner."

"First time we had dinner there. The food was average, the sea scallops my wife had chosen were undercooked, my fettucini had nothing to speak for. The service was outstandingly slow despite a relatively quiet business. It is a child friendly place without doubt; our neighbours had special requests for their children that were honoured and they seemed to be happy with what they got."

"Fantastic find on a Thursday evening. Had a great table outdoors overlooking the hustle and bustle of the street fair. Food was good but not spectacular. Ordered their Tuna Tatar that had a bit too much pickled ginger (the strips weren't even chopped up). Then had the wedge salad and finished it off with a pizza. Sadly the the pizza crust was soggy as it was not served up right way. Was luke warm, thus the low rating on the food. I will try them again and perhaps not on a Thursday :)"

"First time we went there and we were not disappointed. We started with happy hour at 5:30, had several drinks and a happy hour appetizer. Then moved onto the patio to watch the world go by while we enjoyed excellent Salmon and another 3 fish sampler entree. Excellent Pinot Grigio wine selection. Restaurant was really busy by 7pm. Great seating to watch the street scene on a Friday night."

"Had not been there in a while. New design is much better with a nice big bar as you first walk in. We had coctails there before dinner, very friendly and efficient bartender. Service was very good, no complaints. Food was very good, not amazing or spectacular, but very good. I have never had a bad meal there or been disappointed. My brother had the mixed grill which was 3 types of grilled fish. I had the special of the day which was grilled rib-eye with mushroom gorgonzola sauce. The sauce was perfect, the meat was cooked medium rare as ordered but the piece of meat itself was not as good as it could have been. As before the renovation, it's all about sitting on one of the busiest corners in PS and people watching."

"We had a really wonderful dinner here on Saturday night. We were in town from San Diego and decided to try it again as it had been several years since we had eaten here. We were not disappointed! The waitress was very attentive and sweet. There were four of us and we all ordered something different and everyone raved about their food. The salad plates were ice cold which made the salads super delicious. Our main courses were all served hot and the tastes were all extremely good. We had our granddaughter in her stroller and the staff was very careful with not disturbing her while she slept. It was a wonderful evening and we will definitely return."

"Well, to say that I was underwhelmed is putting it mildly. I made the reservation on Open Table, was "checked in" when we arrived and the next day I was dinged with a "no show" email from OpenTable. Clearly, they had just given us a table, despite saying my name and that I had booked online. That would be fine if the food was good. It wasn't.
My burger was a mess, overcooked, soggy fries, and most of the other orders were wrong as well. Service was also very slow, surprising in that they were not that busy. "This steak house has great front end, enticing you to eat there, but then we got stuck in the back next to the kitchen. Decent wine selection but higher than we are used to pricing. Most ordered Prime Rib, I ordered Rare, friend ordered Medium Rare, his was rarer than mine, so we switched. I liked mine, good flavor, I couldn't finish it was so big. Others with our party complained that the mac & cheese had too much truffle oil on it. My partner had the medallions and did not like the taste, wished he had gotten the scallops. Overall we would go back, but ask for a front area table, probably worth the wait, the back was not for us."

"We have always enjoyed Kaiser Grille, but the staff started 'closing' the restaurant, by placing the chairs up on the tables within 45 minutes after we were served. We did not show up 'late'... we sat down at 8:20. We are disappointed with the staff's lack of interest in caring about our dining experience by starting to close the restaurant early. This is not a Denny's - it it reputed for being a nice restaurant and their prices are not cheap."

"We went around 5:30 and asked for the Early Bird Menu (which you aren't given unless you specifically request it). It's a great deal offering a 3 course dinner for $19.95. Both my friend and I had the wedge salad, which was delicious, and the prime rib. It was a very generous portion, cooked to perfection and very little fat. The service was prompt and courteous and we were very happy with the restaurant overall."

"Another great meal, I had the pork chop "tender perfectly grilled"my wife had the sea bass on my recommendation; last time in I had the sea bass and didn't share a bite but kept raving about the bronze color and wonderful flavor, GOOD FISH. We like the new menu and happy Kaiser kept the pizza too, glad this restaurant is near are home here in Palm Springs."
