De La Torre's is a quintessential Italian trattoria. Our recipe is not a secret- we prepare and serve delicious food using quality ingredients. The menu is distinctly Italian offering trattoria classics and our hallmark special menu which changes daily to accentuate the freshness of locally grown produce, naturally raised meats and freshly caught fish presented in numerous creative dishes.
The wine list showcases exceptional and unusual varietals from small producers and family wineries in Italy and in California.
The service is friendly, efficient and professional.
Simply put, we feature delectable food at a fair price, food people want to eat everyday.
"De La Torres is a "can't miss" favorite of ours. Friendly staff + very good food + reasonable prices = never disappointed. There is enough variety from the daily specials to satisfy my wife; I prefer the old standby's - pizza or pasta - you can't go wrong! Don't overlook the burrata as a starter. And save room for desert....the fresh berry cobblers are very good and you will be hard pressed to find a better canolli."

"Wonderful little place in a strip mall, from the outside doesn't look like much but the minute you walk in it is fantastice. Greeted immediately, out table was ready. It was a hard to decide what to eat so I asked the waitress what was good, she gave me a few options. I then gave her 3 choices and told her to bring me on. She mixed and matched my entree and side, it was sublime. Thanks for a wonderful Father's day dinner"

"We love De La Torre's. Good food, good service in a lovely, local restaurant. A nice wine selection too. Two of our party had the lasagne which they raved about. I had the gnocchi which was good though it could have had a little more flavor. But, we would DEFINITELY come again."

"Used to go to Delatorres frequently when they first opened in 1992. Moved and went only occasionally. Husband and I went the other night and wow has it changed! The décor is wonderful and Tom owner/chef is still an awesome chef.. Husband had the lasagna and said it is by far the best he has ever had. I had the pizza which was quite good, although not as awesome as I remember. Had the special beet salad. wonderful! The toffee cake for dessert was sooooooooooooo incredibly yummy. A definite must try. We can't wait to go back again. Especially for the toffee cake (and I am not even a sweet eater). Highly recommend."

"The food was great, the service was awesome. The wait staff were attentive to our needs but not to the point where they were a nuisance. They really did a great job. I asked for a seat out of the traffic flow. They seated us in the corner with no traffic at all."

"DeLaTorres is one of our favorite local Italian cafes. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. It is a small place with a peaceful atmosphere so it never gets too noisy to have good conversation."

"Had the fried oysters which were to die for! I could close my eyes and think I was back sitting at my Nona's table! My husband had spaghetti and meatballs which he said was excellent. Portions large! Will definitely go back!"

"Everything was great, from the salads to the desserts. The service was attentive, water glasses were filled regularly and the meal was served at an appropriate pace. If it were not for the noise level in the restaurant (primarily from two large groups, one celebrating a birthday with noisemakers), the ambiance would be five stars as well. This is not a fancy place, but the menu has great variety and everything is prepared well."

"The daily specials at De La Torre's Trattoria are always excellent. I had an asparagus dish that was really good, batter dipped and fried golden with the asparagus cooked but still crisp. Topped with parmesan cheese and a lemon sauce. The beef short-ribs in the red wine sauce with the cheese and truffle raviolis was flavorful, tender, and just the right size."

"The place was clean with great service. Had the lasagna which was just ok but not great. The pasta layer on the bottom, top layer and around the edges was overcooked and not very soft (crunchy). The kale and portuguese sausage soup was very tasty. Great wine list and great server. Based on previous reviews I expected more to rave about but it was average at best. One chance to make a first impression."

"Second time here and I would say the first time was better. Had one of the specials, pan seared pork and although the taste was good, it was way over cooked and dry. Wine was great as was the bread sticks as always."

"The food was spectacular. The service was wonderful. The rustic 'tuscan' decor was nice. It was more crowded that I've ever seen it, especially on a Wednesday night! It is a small space, but nicely decorated, good food, good service and good prices."

"We chose this restaurant because the online descriptions noted it featured Fresh, Local, Seasonal ingredients. We were excited to try this restaurant for the first time.
From our experience, it was none of the above. Food was not presented attractively & not one item on the menu described the farm, or the locality of the ingredients. Looking at our plates, this could have been easily 'canned'. I had the special of the day, a crab sandwich, and it was mnstly a bread sandwich, with the crab hidden under - cheese. I don't usually order any seafood with cheese, but since this was a 'fresh, local' place, thought I'd give it the benefit of the doubt. Not a good decision. Pass on this place if you're interested in real fresh food."

"This past Saturday night, we had ambitious plans to go to Walnut Creek or Danville, but my wife decided we stay close to home and go where we know we can get a consistently wonderful meal with service to match. De La Torre's did not let us down.
Great meal- highlights were Breaded Portobello Mushrooms as an app (awesome), Pizza (easily the best in Pleasanton), several great salads and entrees, and the best dessert on the planet- the Ooey, Gooey Butter Cake with Vanilla Gelato and Chocolate and Carmel sauces. I'm serious, it is the BEST dessert my wife and I have ever had.
Competent, prompt and friendly service rounds out the De La Torre's experience every time. We think it's hands down the the best restuarant and value in P-Town."

"Great find! Restaurant was very friendly, with a really good menu. A lot of specials. A lot of vegetarian choices as well. All in all a very good experience overall. We were 8 of us and all of us were pleased with our orders, that in itself is a good indication for the variety and quality offered."

"The food was delicious, pasta tasted very fresh. The calamari was very meaty with minimal breading, always a good sign. Food portions are generous and pricing is very fair. Servers are very attentive and check up on you the perfect number of times. Space is a bit cramped and they fill up pretty quick for dinner service. Overall, I'd come back to try something else here."

"Food was over priced for the service and food that was serviced. Our party of 3 that only had 3 entrees, one salad, 1 beer and 2 glasses of wine costed $99.00. Not once did the waiter come and check on our table. This was our first time at the De La Torre's Trattoria and we will not be rushing back."

"When we dine here we always feel like we are in a small town restaurant in Italy. The cozy ambiance and unique food offerings are not found at any other Italian restaurant. The creativity, especially with regards to the nightly specials, is always impressive and enjoyable."
