"While visiting NYC, my mother and I decided to try Sarabeth's brunch based on several recommendations. I was so glad I'd made reservations with Open Table b/c the restaurant was packed at 8:30 Sunday morning. Absolutely fantastic food and friendly service! We never felt rushed even though it was crowded! I loved my pumpkin waffles and Mother's omelet was amazingly fluffy. What a great dining experience!"

"Food was very good, and we had a lovely waitress (unfortunately, I didn't get her name.) It got a little noisy when the crowd came in, and the service was a tad slow----had to fine the server to get the check. Overall, very nice--especially in a neighborhood where there is a dearth of good eating!"

"Very disappointed. Have had brunch at Sarabeth's West numerous times.Dinner at East side was fair at best. Burger was great. Fries were underdone, sweet potato fries were greasy, specialty wild mushroom soup-of-the-day was tasteless.Risotto was not creamy, more like a plate of rice.Service wasawful. Two different waitresses came to take our order and then we had to wait unusually long for the food.Go for the bread basket. Have dessert and leave."

"This is my favorite Sarabeth's and it is the original one. I have loved it for years, like most people, for those spectacular omelets and four flower juice. But now we love it for dinner as well. A warm and cozy restaurant with absolutely delicious food. A varied menu, excellent wait staff and wonderful management. In the evening it feels more adult--brunch is packed with families--and I appreciate the relative quiet (nearly impossibly in New York) and fine food. The seafood Cobb Salad is a favorite, but the vegetable burger is not to be missed. We will return frequently."

"A great place for dinner before a show at the 92nd Street Y. Always good service and good food in a very attractive dining area with high ceilings and very tasteful decor. The fresh breads served as you first sit down are a treat, as well as the delicious, freshly made pastries for desert. Entres are prepared exactly as requested, presented with a flare, and always include two specials as well as a fixed price that includes appetizer, entre and desert for those able to handle the very ample portions."

"We went to Sarabeth's on the Upper East Side for Easter Dinner. It was delicious. The sweet potato puree was the best! The restaurant was clean, our service was wonderful, and the food great. When we visit our daughter, we will definitely go back to Sarabeth's!!! We highly recommend it."

"The food is always wonderful at Sarabeth's. I went with a friend for breakfast and we shared the Goldie Lox and lemon ricotta pancakes. It's been a while since I cleaned my plate, but I had no trouble doing so that morning. The server was pleasant and attentive without being obtrusive and was patient with us when we needed a minute to narrow our decisions. Overall, it was a lovely morning. I noticed a fairly long line to be seated already at 9 AM. I definitely recommend making a reservation if you're planning to eat here."

"Hi, met a friend for a "catch up" breakfast on a Sunday morning. By 9:00 a.m. the place was hopping! You need open table for this location! Yummy breakfast food but if you like a decent cup of coffee better have your coffee at home before or at a local coffee joint afterwards. The food is really just okay (toast not really hot, quality of breads so-so, eggs okay, etc.), but the service is absolutely outstanding. Nice room, nice vibe. Saw families with kids happily eating away."

"Enjoyed the open atmosphere which was nicely lit. Service was extremely good, our server was friendly with a big smile. My wife enjoyed the baby red & gold beets for her appetizer & loved the scallops. I thought the wild mushroom risotto was excellent, very tasty, while the shell steak was just average. Overall we had a very pleasant experience."

"I was surprised at the difference between breakfast and dinner here. The guacamole was too creamy and the scallops were so bitter I could only eat one. Bread and butter were left on the table for dessert which was just fair. We know this is a great place for breakfast but won't return for dinner."

"We were very happy with our meal at Sarabeth's. I have visited NYC five times, and have made a trip to Sarabeth's each time, and have never been disappointed. This was my first time eating there with my three children, and although it's not a restaurant that is specifically aimed at kids (for example, they do not have a separate kids' menu) they were certainly welcoming to the kids, and our server was very attentive and kind to them; we were never made to feel like we should not have brought the kids to the restaurant. Also, many of the appetizers were appropriate for the children to eat as meals. I will definitely go back for a 6th time the next time I am in NYC--the restaurant is quaint, the food is good, and it's reasonably priced."

""Sarabeth's East" was the perfect spot to dine before attending a performance at the 92nd Street Y. Our server was terrific! We both chose the prix fixe, and the Tomato Soup was FABULOUS!*! The Salmon was delicious, and the Fresh Fruit for dessert was INCREDIBLE for February!*! We will be back."

"The food was fabulous. I started with a curried lentil soup and had the pumpkin tortellini as an entree. The chocolate truffle cake is a wonderful dessert if you can fit it in.
My only complaint was the slowness of the service. Our waitress seemed to have disappeared. It took nearly 15 minutes from the time we finished our meal till she finally came to the table about coffee and dessert. As a result, we had to rush through dessert in order to be at another engagement."

"We found the food to be prepared quite well and tasty. The service was pretty substandard however. It seemed as if our server could not have cared less about whether or not we were present and never once inquired as to how our meal was prepared or if we required anything else."
