n the late 50’s and early 60’s there was a Carefree time in America known as Camelot, when the Rat Pack ruled and Swanky was the lifestyle.
In the Big Cities and Casino towns there were American-Italian restaurants with Subway tile floors, highback leather booths and Blacked Out windows called Joints. They celebrated Big food, big Wine, hand shaken Martinis and sounds to make you Swing.
Welcome to Frankie Bones.
A Classic American-Italian Restaurant and Lounge.
A Menu inspired by the big cities. Chicago, Vegas, St. Louis and New York.
An Atmosphere harkening back to the bustling symphony of a time past, but Not Forgotten.
An Experience to be shared with Family and Friends.

"Although our waiter tried his best, the service was poor (he continually concentrated his service on a small group at a booth next to us, that was seated after we were), we requested items that were never brought or that we had to go get ourselves (i.e. a second menu (there were 3 of us, but only 1 regular menu was left with us), sugar packets, and there were no spoons for the coffee, etc.
My eggs were over-cooked (even though I asked for them to be left on the very soft, loose side), and our coffee wasn't refilled or warmed up until we tracked someone down and asked several times for it to be done.
We realize that it was a busy day and cut them some slack, but this isn't the first time we've been there, and it tends to be a trend..."

"My family and friends were in Asheville for a dance competition and were looking for a decent meal afterward... What a treat it was to dine at Frankie Bones! The food was tasty, the prices were reasonable and the service was excellent. Will definitely make a point to dine there again..."

"It was our first time at FB and we were pleasantly surprised. With the name Frankie Bones we thought the menu might be laden with BBQ and rib stuff. It actually had none of that but did have a nice cosmopolitan menu and a 50's supper club atmosphere. The food and service were both spot on. I ordered the large prime rib steak and my wife the sirloin tip medallions and we’d order both again.
The restaurant did a great job seating everyone on a very busy and special night. It was prom night for West Henderson High School and the place was loaded with young sweethearts. It was fun seeing all the different dresses and tuxedos and students acting on their best behavior."

"Frankie Bones is our GO TO spot. It never disappoints. The service was exceptional (as usual) and the food was great. Tonight we had the Filet Mignon and Grilled Atlantic Salmon. Both were prepared to perfection. But the greatest part was the Strawberry Lemon Bar for dessert. That was amazing! Would love to see that become part of the regular menu. Compliments to the chef!"

"Consistently festive and filling, Frankie Bones combines a fun retro atmosphere with good, hearty Italian food. Start with a delicious cocktail served in your own individual shaker (often with extra) and a tasty appetizer. Continue with any of a number of nice salad choices and excellent entrees. I had the beef tenderloins, cooked perfectly rare, which I find is increasingly difficult to come by. Come hungry--they like to feed you at Frankie Bones. But you won't be disappointed."

"Food was good, but the service was wonderful and the attitude of the entire staff makes you glad you came. The noise levels can be high in the back of the restaurant, but they do have a small room for small groups."

"Food and service is very good. Waiter knowledgeable on entrees offered and their ingredients. If one prefers to be away from the hub bub of the bar and restaurant, outdoor dining on the patio is available. Patio overlooks main road but high enough above it to not be bothersome. Steaks and Italian food offerings are reasonably priced for the quality and quantity provided."

"We had an early dinner on Easter Sunday at 4:30pm in a nice placed booth. The Brunch crowd which we were told was about 300 were gone and we felt special since the restaurant was not crowded. It was divine. thanks to the incredible servers and the food was amazing as always."

"We enjoyed our Easter Brunch very much. It was delicious, presented beautifully, and served by a gracious waiter - responsive but not hovering! This is one of our favorite restaurants because the food is so consistantly good and service is impeccable. We're always comfortable taking guests here to eat and have always been happy with every visit. We don't always have reservations and always get seated fairly quickly. Open Table makes reserving a table so easy we'll most likely continue to reserve a spot now."

"Quite pleased overall. Thrilled to find a place that offers gluten-free entrees, as well as a couple of appetizers and one dessert. They also had gluten-free bread that the server brought to the the table. What a treat! Not something I get to have often. Service was good but not great as he was distracted by a larger table. Overall, was a good experience and will go back."

"I took my daughter for a mother daughter dinner because she loves the s'mores at the table dessert. I was pleasantly surprised to have a fabulous dinner! I got the fish special (unicorn fish) that was fresh, light, and just the right size-I cleaned my plate without feeling stuffed or still hungry. The service was amazing. We were seated right away (with a reservation) and got quick attention without feeling rushed. The server was very respectful to my 10 y/o daughter and made her feel quite grown up."

"Attentive Service, without being overbearing. Eclectic menu, nice portions, well presented. This is one of my favorite places in greater Asheville. weekends tend to be very busy, but tables are well spaced, so conversation is not strained. There is a bar area, which seems to be lively. I highly recommend Frankie Bones and suggest reservations for busy nights."

"We went fro brunch. The eggs were burned and the bacon was under cooked. When we asked for properly cooked eggs the waiter said to try them first and see how they tasted. My wife did not eat the burned parts but was reluctant to bring up the issue a second time."

"We had Sunday Brunch there, and discovered there is also a Saturday Brunch. The menu is extensive, with a substantial breakfast menu as well as brunch special dishes. Large variety of egg, meat and seafood dishes and appetizers. There's NO chance of not finding something to eat. Prices are very reasonable for both quantity and quality of food.
Great ambiance as well as waitstaff. Will keep returning."

"Our visit was a birthday celebration. I had the butterfish appetizer, a salad and a bowl of the chicken and sausage gumbo. All the food was outstanding especially the butterfish! I also had the beer flight which gave me the opportunity to sample 4 different local microbrews all of which were great! My wife had the red wine flight which were all very good. For her meal she had the beef medallions and a salad which she enjoyed very much. We go to Frankie Bones frequently and always have a great meal. Thursday nights are a fun time with the drink specials and music."

"Becca our server was OUTSTANDING! she will be a reason to return alone :) I had the restaurant week salmon dish and wowza it was scrumptious! The cous cous was prepared lovely not to mention the smoked tomato jam was JAMMIN. I will say the vegetarian squash primavera was a bit disappointing however. It lacked any bold flavor (or much flavor at all for that matter!). All in all I left a satisfied customer with a great experience."

"I live in Atlanta so it is a treat to visit this restaurant. Always good food, consistent service. Love....love the twice baked potato eggrolls....fabulous you easily could have that as a potato option with your steak entrees. The chef special for dessert was a little weird....banana fosters creme brûlée or blackberry....ew! And they took off chocolate lava :(. The option is the chocolate cake which they should serve with a shot glass of cold milk. Mathew our waiter was superb!"

"We are long time customers of Frankie Bones in Hilton Head. This was our second visit to the Asheville NC location and it was a disappointment. The major problem is the menu. It's changed and not for the better. Don't know why it changed, maybe they got a different chef, I don't know. The place is always fun, waite staff is great. But the food! Not the nice menu it used to be."

"The main thing that bothers me about Frankie Bones is that when they have something on the menu that I really like, they either delete it or they change it. In this case, I've always enjoyed the caesar salad at Frankie Bones and when I ordered it this time, they had changed the dressing so much I disliked it so much I couldn't eat it. They did not charge me for it on our check. Since I do not eat red meat or seafood, there are few things left on the menu for me. I could always count on the caesar salad, but now that is no longer an option. I have requested on a number of occasions that they bring back their wonderful teriyaki chicken, but to no avail."
