Colombo's Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club
The Melting Pot of Eagle Rock, we have been serving the community since 1954. Italian
American cuisine... Prime Rib, Steak, Chicken, Sea Food and Pasta Owned and Operated by Ms. Ann Colombo.
"Good food - nothing fancy - just old fashioned italian in an old school, but still cool restaurant. Excellent jazz serves as back drop to fun, family restaurant. I always order the rolled meat lasagna or the eggplant. Recipe has changed over the years - but on recent visit - both were very good."

Review 2 for Colombo's Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club
"Been there for since '54 this is one of those "classic" pasta/steak joints with red leather booths, a great bar, and live music 7 nights a week. Moderately priced, the service and the food were quite good. A bit off the 'beaten path' it's definately worth a trip to Eagle Rock!!"

"Our dining experience was enhanced by the great dinner music , a violinist accompanied by piano . The pair of talented gentlemen rounded off an already perfect evening."

Review 5 for Colombo's Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club
"Food was good! I had higher expextations of the "jazz" part. I had a reservation at 8 pm and there was no music at all. They put us in a room separate the rest of the dining hall and that too made it a little anti-climactic. I expected it to be a more fun music + foos experience. I wkuld however revisit, in case I just went there on an off night."

Review 6 for Colombo's Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club
"I was excited to eat at COLOMBOS because of it's history and I love Italian food. It started out nicely, the host gave us a brief history of the restaurant and another gentleman greeted us, very pleasant. But it ended there. After we ordered, the service was very poor (although someone offered to refill our water glasses several times), I had to flag our waiter down to give us our check, he didn't check up on us at all during the meal. And I was very disappointed in the food, I'm sure it's meant to be comfort food for neighborhood enthusiasts but the seasoning for my order of chicken cacciatore was...well, not good. It's a no go for me again unfortunately."

"Columbos is a dying breed. A wonderful local neighborhood restaurant with attention to service and quality of the overall experience. Italian hospitality ad old world charm. Live entertainment is truly outstanding and adds a dimension of extra warmth the already inviting atmosphere."

Review 11 for Colombo's Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club
"Classic Italian steakhouse, with great pasta and pizza, too, and a broad menu. They've been in Eagle Rock for about 30 years, after being in downtown LA for about 20+ years before that. Run by the same family all this time. A lot of red in the furnishings, and a very active, busy bar scene. Live music every night, mostly jazz from "regulars" who aren't going to win any Grammys any time soon, BUT everyone has a lot of fun!"

Review 12 for Colombo's Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club
"The filet mignon was outstanding. Overall food was great, service was fantastic! Sinatra tunes sung by a jazz piano player, what more could be asked for? Crab cakes were yummy, but we thought overpriced at $12 for two small cakes."

Review 13 for Colombo's Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club
"My husband and I went here to have a nice dinner for his birthday. We wanted to go to a place that would have pasta and steak. I remembered going here the night before my wedding as it was directly across street from the venue where we had our wedding and I raved about it. I booked with Open Table & soonest reservation was 9 p.m. We went with it and the only problem was that our waiter didn't ask about the parmesan cheese and when my husband asked he never brought it. Also, the band that went on was pretty loud and my husband has ear issues so when they came in we had to call the waiter over to get our check and box up the rest of the food. Hubby said he would go here again as here again as he loved the food, would make sure to miss the band"

"Wasn't what we expected from the description. We thought it would have jazz, but it was more like a lounge singer experience. Just wasn't for us, but maybe for others."

Review 15 for Colombo's Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club
"Loved the music so early in the evening. The jazz band started about 6:30pm on a Thursday!!! That was great. Just a great old fashion italian restaurant. The food was very tasty. The only real down side was the garlic bread. It didn't have any real flavor like being garlicky, or seasoned or buttery, just more like toast. Usually garlic bread has a more definitive flavor for the place."

Review 16 for Colombo's Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club
"Colombo's is always a gem. Great (traditional)Italian steak house. (I could see Sinatra eating here... ) Leather seated booths, terrific food (on the traditional Italian side) with live music every night.
Martini's are great (and plentiful servings, too).
A gem in Eagle Rock."

Review 20 for Colombo's Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club
"Relaxed environment. The music & service was great. I had the lobster tail which was rather small & a bit chewy. The overall dinning experience was good. Not sure if I'd go back though."

Review 22 for Colombo's Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club
"This is a good old fashion Italian restaurant. We ordered an antipasta which was ok, nothing special. I ordered the lasagna which was a pretty big piece, very meaty and hearty. My husband had a meatball steak which he enjoyed. They give you garlic bread which wasn't that great. I asked for a piece plain bread. I'm not sure what kind of bread it was, but I didn't finish it. I know that "Italian" bread is different all over the country - I wasn't impressed with it. The service was good."

Review 23 for Colombo's Italian Steakhouse & Jazz Club
"The food and atmosphere were excellent. The staff had too many tables for a fine dining establishment; couldn't get our waiter's attention a couple of times. The sautéed mushrooms were special. The sausage and peppers were great tasting but it needed twice as much spaghetti and half as many peppers, at least on this Monday night."
