"Twist was fantastic with one important caveat: The chef composes dishes that have a wide array of disparate elements which can make it a challenge to put together a tasting menu if one is "picky."
Fantastic restaurant otherwise.
Make sure to try the Firestarter at the Mandarin Bar before or after."

"I chose the 4 course printemps menu. It was perfect. Familiar flavors were enhanced in original ways: creamy popcorn, melting bacon, and new ones kept surprising me. The dinner was a pleasant journey in the realm of senses."

Review 4 for Twist by Pierre Gagnaire - Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas
"Everything was outstanding. This place is amazing. The best part is that they referred to me by my last name throughout the entire evening. Not just the person who sat me, but every single employee that talked to me. The food was amazing. The service top notch. I'll be in Vegas again and will go back for sure."

Review 16 for Twist by Pierre Gagnaire - Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas
"Twist remains my favorite foodie restaurant in Las Vegas. Chef Pierre comes in a few times a year to train the kitchen in a new menu and the spring offerings are, as usual, creative and exciting to the palate. Top-notch service and a beautiful room round out the experience, which is not cheap but well below what Joel Robuchon will set you back. Highly recommended."

Review 18 for Twist by Pierre Gagnaire - Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas
"This is one of the top restaurants in Las Vegas, without a doubt. The service is world class, the atmosphere and view is spectacular. Of course, the real star of the show is the food. Pierre Gagnaire is a top chef, who is always amazing us with new creations. On my recent visit, he had just introduced his spring menu. I loved the Loup De Mer and Dungeness Crab appetizer and the Dorado Royal and Langoustine main course. It is a must visit, whether you are visiting Las Vegas or live here."

Review 25 for Twist by Pierre Gagnaire - Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas
"The degustation menu did not live up to expectations and the wine selection was poorly matched. The wine even failed to be brought out for two courses and they started packing up around us while we were still dining. Poor service compared to other top restaurants in Las Vegas."

Review 33 for Twist by Pierre Gagnaire - Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas
"One complaint Corkage fee of $95 is an intimidation factor and should be noted on all information about this restaurant. I brought a high end Pinot Noir for a special occasion and was told at the front desk of their corkage fee. I chose to open my wine and the waiter did a wonderful job serving it and looking after us. However the sommelier later admited after looking at and tasting my wine that is was equal to and in my case better than many Pinot Noirs on his list.He said they would look into adding the wine in the future. He knew the level of wine that I brought in. The corkage fee is pure intimidation and is shameful for a restaurant that is among a group of excellent restaurants in Las Vegas, not THE best in Las Vegas."

"This is the third time we dine here. Unfortunately, the quality of food had gone south. They don't taste bad or anything like that. Overall, the taste of food is just not up to par for the price it charges. The music is nice and the setting is lovely."

Review 37 for Twist by Pierre Gagnaire - Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas
"Twist was wonderful. On the website review we saw it was a $$$ restaurant so normally would have expected to spend $50-75 or so per person. You will not get out of Twist without spending about $300. If that is fine with you then we would recommend it. The quality of the food is very good, although some of the dishes are difficult to even figure out what the flavor is as you will find some very strange pairings. The two course prix fixe menu (one app or dessert, and an entree pairing) is $95. As with some restaurants of this quality, in addition to your menu selections you get several small chef tastings along the way. The service was very good and the location at the upper floors of the Mandarin is a bonus."

Review 39 for Twist by Pierre Gagnaire - Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas
"The quality of the food was outstanding and our server was very knowledgeable, his presence timely without being intrusive. The cuisine was imaginative - popcorn soup was on the menu for our visit - flavourful and well-presented. It is expensive, but we felt that compared to our expectations for a restaurant at this price point, Twist delivered good value."

Review 40 for Twist by Pierre Gagnaire - Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas
"We were a little disappointed in our second visit to Twist. For our first visit in 2010 the $400-$500 price for two seemed fair for the set menu only. The revamped menu was still daring and interesting, but the price is now $400-$500 for a fairly standard 4 course ala carte for two. Definitely overpriced; although still interesting food, and fine service."
