"Not a bad experience, but not fine dining either. The service was good, the food plentiful (if unremarkable), the room - Loud and echoing...unfortunately not the best choice for my mom, who has hearing challenges. Our waiter was great though, and as the room slowly cleared, we were glad of our later reservation."

"Our birthday celebration was wonderful. Osso bucco, chicken Vesuvio and a couple of raviolis were to write home about- large portions that everyone enjoyed. Really well-made dinners and very good service. Good timing on the courses, attentive yet unobtrusive wait staff. We ate outside, which I think is really nice. It was not noisy outside, and not all that crowded on the Friday night we visited. Everyone enjoyed the dinner. Not sure why Firenze has some hit n miss reviews for service etc. Perhaps there were training issues. We recommend for celebrations or other (not inexpensive) meal. It looked like the bar was very popular."

"If you enjoy a cocktail while perusing the menu, Firenze is not for you. They seem to have a nice bar, but no cocktail service offered. Likewise, a "glass" of wine means just that. You will not be offered another. Hydrate before your meal, no water after food arrives. I think they were scared by fluids as children.
Food was excellent. Risotto from a prior visit set the standard that no one has beaten. Pasta was perfect. If you can get past the beverage issue.
We live nearby and pass the restaurant several times per week. This visit answered the question "why don't we go there more often?"
Firenze - you could have added at least $20 to bill and we would have been happier. Offer a beverage and see if we want more wine."

"Went there for Easter dinner. Wasn't crowded as I suspect most people go out for brunch. I had scallops and shrimp over risotto.....perfectly done scallops and nice juicy shrimp. Best risotto I've ever had...creamy and perfectly cooked....just a tiny bite to it. Also had caesar salad equally good,just right amount of dressing. Portions were big enough to have the next night at home. Service was quick and attentive. Will definitely go back."

"The food was great, but probably the portions were way too big....no one finished their food. The service was good...but the noise in there from all the diners made across the table conversation impossible. There was a table so close to us that we could clearly hear the conversation of the men seated there. We would certainly return but perhaps pick a quieter time of day. We were surprised that a Thursday night was so crowded."

Wonderful service, even with a new waiter. He had been very well trained and conducted himself like a seasoned pro. English butler quality service from waiter and assistant staff. Food was absolutely superb and the variety of choices was terrific; specials were truly 'special'.. Bar is warm and welcoming with sports on the television but it is not a sports bar. It is just plain comfortable. Prices are reasonable; wine list is extensive and the chef goes beyond the norm in delicacies and size of portions."

"The service: I expected top notch and got less than passing. I found the wait staff very bland and boring much like my hearts of palm salad. We went for Restaurant Week which is usually hit or miss. My other half got the hit (he didn't order off of the RW menu) and I got the miss. I took him for his birthday and he got tasty salad and a wonderful lasagna with bechamel sauce. I got a not very tasty salad. It was completely under dressed and my veal special was so so. The veal was salty and the spinach and mashed potatoes were spinach and mashed potatoes. Nothing special. I was very disappointed since it was my treat and maybe I expected too much from a place that usually gets great reviews."

"I planned this for a Mom's Night Out wanting good food, wine, quiet so we could chat, and hoping for good service. My expectations were exceeded on all hopes. Thank you."
