Locally owned and operated, Strip is the hottest new restaurant in Avon. We are located in the Olde Avon Village on Detroit Road in the historic Ewers Barn. We offer an innovative menu using only the highest quality ingredients, featuring USDA prime aged beef for its superior flavor and tenderness. "Celebrated my Sister's Birthday. Neither of us and our husbands had been there and it was truely a memorable evening!
Our server - Joel was absolutely a thoughtful and excellent waiter, very knowledgable of the food and how it was prepared, giving us recommendation based on our questions. The evening was topped off with a cake to celebrate her birthday!
All-in-all a very outstanding experience!

"Recently visited the Strip for a family celebration. Though the prices are steep, the food proved to be worthy. Our waiter was extremely helpful describing and recommending dinner options. The steaks were all thick, juicy and cooked to perfection. The family style sides were delicious and nice, large portions. We recommend the Bourbon creamed corn and the Gruyere Mac and Cheese! Also must try the lobster pierogies and tiracassata cake. Wonderful meal!"

"We had a wonderful dinner served to us by an excellent waitress by the name of Amy. We will ask for her again when we return in the future. One problem - we were seated on the first floor and when the busser sprayed the table upstairs the overspray landed on my husband and I. We were in formed that it was sanitizer and protocol was to spray the cloth rather than the table. Fortunately, we were done with our meal and just finishing a glass of wine."

"Usualy to like to leave a comment but could not help it, went there for buisness dinner, party of 5 so we ordred a lot of food, I ordered a medium rare steak as main cours, it was way over cooked and dry, the waitress offered to take it back and I agreed a minute later she came back with the steak and she said " checked with our chef and it is medium rare, so sorry" I was speechless and did not touch it the waitress came back and offered to box it of course I refused, the host got the check and we were charged for untouched steak so go figure."

"The food was outstanding as always! The service which is usually outstanding was fair. The server seemed distratcted while speaking with us and seemed to talking away from us instead of to us. The atmosphere was very loud which is a change. Our other visits the mood was always quiet, relaxing and intimate. Hard to talk at dinner, distracted by the noise. I will still return becuae the food is excellent, one of the best steak houses on the westside."

"We've been to Strip many times. Food is always awesome. This time though the service was so so. I'd like to say it was just because she was too busy/too many tables, but she was forgetful. "I have been here before and Strip did not let us down again food or drink wise.
The waitress seemed to be a bit pushy and you could tell she was pushing my date and I out the door because she wanted to leave. We could have stayed for another drink but she insisted in boxing up our wonderful steaks and sides and brought us the bill.
Other than that, it was fantastic."

"The scallops and steak were excellent. Both were cooked perfect and were delicious.
On the other hand, the wedge salad was totally unimpressive and the dressing was over powering.
The lobster bisque was ok but I expected much better from a restaurant of this caliber.

"I took my wife there for her birthday last weekend, and was excellent. From the moment we arrived the service was top notch. The steak was by far the best we have had any where in the area. "We had a delightful birthday dinner at Strip. The wedge salad was excellent, and the steak was first rate. They rate the sides as enough for two; it would say they could easilty serve four. And if you let them know that it is a special occasion, the give you an small cake for dessert as a gift, complete with a candle. We have gone there to celebrate before and we will certainly do so again. I hightly recommend it."

"The steaks were fantastic... the service was OK at best - our server seemed very young and new. Probably matters who you end up getting. It was my first time there, and was quite impressed with the filet and the lobster bisque - lots of lobster meat in that soup. Would not hesitate to go back or recommend it. "I dined for the first time at Strip last Friday night. It was amazing. My boyfriend and I got the "dinner for two". It was a perfect way to sample the steak, two sides, and one dessert. The steak was mouth watering and left me thinking about it the next day. The sides were more than enough for two people and we took the leftovers home. They reheated nicely. The waitress was very helpful and attentive. The atmosphere of being in a barn was fun and unique. I would highly recommend it to anyone!"

"Food was excellent....only complaint is we had to ask for bread after having an appetizer and salad. Every table around us had the bread sticks with two types of butter at their table. Waiter asked if we ever had him before when we were there and then indicated "good, because you aren't aware how lousy a waiter I am". Should have been tipped off there...overall, little over priced but good food."

"I love the decor of this restaurant. The food was quite good. The only reason I didn't give it higher scores is that it took a long time to be served bread sticks (table for 6 arrived after us) an also the appetizer took awhile. "The server was so knowledgeable and spot on with her description that I should have had her order for me! The boilermaker was okay compared to my husband's choice of big daddy. Ridiculously good! The side dishes we picked were wonderful additions to our meal and the appetizer, sea biscuits, would be worth the trip back on their own. "First time visitors to Strip. Although much bigger than I thought once inside the overall feel was comfortable and a relaxed atmosphere. My wife and I each tried different salads for a variety. My wife chose the Strip House salad and was very happy with her choice. Greens were fresh and crisp and the dressing served with the house salad has a great taste. I ordered the Spinach salad and it was very good in the beginning, but the sweet taste from the carmalized walnuts and bacon became a bit much after a while. Almost like eating candy. Our meat choices were a 6 oz Filet and a Strip steak. Both done to perfection, very tender and tasty. Ordered a side of the scalloped potatoes that were amazing. Will be back for more"

"Been to the Strip many times, and I'm blown away every time. Chef Ron Larson offers one of the most creative and delicious menus that I've ever experienced. I had the 22 oz, bone in Rib Eye (The Cowboy) which was cooked perfectly. The truffled whipped polenta is a must try. Amazing. For an appetizer, try his tater tots. Much larger than the common variety, and stuffed with cheese and bacon. Also, the Temptation (deep fried lobster tails) is incredible. The century old barn that houses this amazing kitchen and chef creates a unique and most enjoyable atmosphere. The wine list is also top notch.
If you get anywhere near Avon, Ohio which is in the western suburbs of Cleveland, you have to visit the Strip."

"Strip Steakhouse has a nice 2 for 1 dinner that includes 2 house salads, 2 filet mignons, 2 choices of side dishes, and a shared dessert for $79. If ordered individually this plan is saving you @ least $20. Strip also has a very interesting side dish selection, they are generous and intended for 2. The old barn setting has been transformed to a sizzling bar scene with a more tranquil dining upstairs in the loft."

"As always, a pleasant dining experience at Strip. The wait staff is wonderful, know the menu well and are very helpful. This is the first time we have dined there on a Sunday, and it is definitely less hectic than on Fridays and Saturdays. We had a leisurely, wonderful meal. I have never had a bad appetizer, entree or side there. The experience was great!"
