"10 people for all you can drink brunch was a great option... We were able to stay for about 3 hours for brunch and dessert and they had a great selection of drinks with the all you can drink option"

"Accommodating to our large group. Disappointed that by 5pm they had run out of fish special and by 6 had even run out of salmon. Excellent pricing, good food, but house wine just fair. Enjoyed ourselves and the food. Mother's Day is a tough day to rate any restaruant...very overwhelming for the staff so we are thankful for our great time."

"We wanted a light dinner before the Opera, and found this spot just 6 blocks from Lincoln Center. They have a fabulous deal until 6 pm. The food was excellent, especially for the price. Tables are a bit close together, so if it gets crowded you may feel like you're dining with strangers, but other than that, it was an excellent experience."

"I met a group of friends for brunch and despite arriving sporadically and getting our money's worth of the bottomless brunch drinks, the staff never made us feel we were overstaying our welcome and continued to provide friendly service. The atmosphere was very nice and decor and natural light great even indoors. My food was fine if not mind-blowing, but I enjoyed it. I would definitely go back!"

"This was our second time at the restaurant. The first time, the wait staff hovered and we had to ask them to take their time with our service. This past time, also on Saturday night, we sat for 15 minutes before we had to ask for a menu, only to find out that they had none to give us! The place was half empty and they ran out of menus! Service was spotty but the food again was very good. Willing to try it again, hoping the place gets it's act together."

"This is still a lovely neighborhood gem. We dined on the earlier side (6:30) on a weekday and it was perfect. The space is lovely; you don't feel like you're on top of others in the restaurant. The food was moderately priced and tasty. There are also wonderful, large photos of Audrey Hepburn on the walls."

"A good and decently-priced Sunday brucnh. Started quiet, but the place was packed by the time we were finished and got a little loud. Ah well, it won't keep me from coming back. I like the food, I like the location, I find the place cheerful and friendly."

"Going to Arte Cafe used to be a pleasant experience. Now it has become so popular that it;'s a chore to be there. The Sunday brunch noise level was intolerable. In only 2 weeks' time, the prices went way up so that it is now no longer a bargain. However the food remains good. Service is much less excellent than it used to be."

"I have been to Arte many times. I live in the neighborhood & I've always thought of it as one of the good to spots for any occasion. The food was great. Had a brunch for my birthday. They're great accommodating large groups. However, this time I found the service lacking. Our server went MIA for a period of time. Right when we were about to pay mostly. I know big tables can be annoying & demanding ( I've worked in several restaurants). However, it was disappointing & I expect better from Arte."

"Prix fixe menu is great and very reasonable. Only problem - they "ran out" of the include dessert by 6pm and seemed to expect us to just forget about it. We didn't forget. One of the couples in our group was celebrating an anniversary and we wanted a candle to sing,,,that never happened. They offered us sorbet in place of the cheesecake. We insisted on something more comparable. We ended up with tirimisu after suggesting they give us some money back instead. Would go back, but would order desert first and ask them to hold it aside. PS How do you run out of the dessert half way through the special?"

"We had a Sunday brunch reservation. The place was busy, but after almost 20 mins waiting and seeing available tables, I went to ask the hostess if we could get the empty table that I noticed that had been empty for a while. She finally gave it to us but not without giving us some attitude. We got to the table and it took at least 25 mins for someone to show up to take our order and bring us some water. The waitress didn't even bother to apologize for taking so long and just carelessly proceeded to take our order. After almost 30 mins our food and drinks arrived. The guy who brought the plates rudely placed my plate half way off the table in front of me. The place looks nice, but for the terrible service and average food I wouldn't go bac"

"Noise level was too much on a peak time Saturday evening. Everything else was superb. Try going a little bit off-peak. Not rowdy noise, just exuberance in a small space. I would definitely go back."

"I've been to arte several times but never for brunch. And never again. The frittata was greasy and salty. Coffee was weak. It was sooo noisy that despite sitting directly across from my companion a small side table, we had to shout to hear one another. Servers were friendly but clearly harried. To crowded with a fair number of larger groups. Try it for an early dinner. Much better."

"I've had better experience at this restaurant previously. On this recent visit, I was very disappointed. Service was slow and the place was very noisy ... food was just so so and quite pricey for its mediocrity. The wine list does not seem to correspond to what is actually available. The bottle of wine offered on two tries was different from what was ordered from the wine list."

"We went there for Easter Brunch with our 5 year old and 2 year old. It was perfect because they seated us in a quiet back room way from the bar area. The room also had great light from the patio beside it. The food was very good, the service was very good, and we felt very welcomed with our small children which is always an issue in Manhattan! I highly recommend this restaurant and would go back again."

"we got a "drafty" table up front. The menu "20 Dollar unlimited drinks brunch" is misleading. The $20 are for drinks only, food is not included. A drink costs $10 - if you plan to have more than 2 drinks the $20 per person may be worth it to you. However, good luck tracking down the waitress for refills. The food was just bland. All in all: I will not return to this place."

"Went to Arte Cafe for brunch. The food was delicious with well-sized portions. The service, however, was not great. One of our meals wasn't cooked properly and simple requests like syrup never made it to the table. It was a constant distraction trying to get the waiter's attention. I'd dine here again with improved service."

"I have dined at Arte Cafe on two separate occasions. My first experience was wonderful and I was excited to come back a second time with a group of friends for brunch. Unfortunately, my second experience was not nearly as enjoyable as my first. We arrived on time for our reservation and were sat 30 minutes late. It then took an additional 20 minutes to have a server greet us and take our drink order (this was only after I went up to the hostess stand and requested that a waiter come to our table). Service was slow and poor for the majority of the time that we were there. I am unsure whether or not I'll go back even though the food was good. Overall a hit or miss dining experience."

"Don't bother making reservations, we waited an hour, because they like to honor walk-ins. When it is that crowded, the service is lousy, but being we started so late, as people left, we were able to get the waitstaff's attention."

"We've been to Arte Cafe a few times and the experiences have been good which is why we keep coming back. This latest visit was not their best performance. The server was very nice but clearly was not familiar with the menu. Our order was not delivered as requested requiring us to send part of it back. In the end we still had a good meal and we keep Arte Cafe on our "list" but we are more likely to consider other places first."

"We walked out. We wanted a romantic table, the restaurant was not full, and they seated us next to the server station. Really? So we got them to move us to the back corner, and we were right under a speaker, and they were playing 80s Michael Jackson music!! What? The music was completely incongruous and destroyed the ambience. You go to an Italian cafe on Saturday night, you want to hear Italian music, or Frank Sinatra, or even classical music. Michael Jackson? Bad 80s dance music? We did not want to waste our date night, so we left and went to Amber and had a great date."
