"I had a wonderful experience from the moment I walked in the door. Every employee seemed very passionate about their jobs from the host to our server. The bartender Brian made excellent drinks and suggestions while we waited for our table. I was so extremely impressed with the service, everyone seemed excited to be there, unfortunately unusual to find. Then comes the food. One of the best meals I have had in a long time. I chose a pistachio crusted halibut with Gorgonzola mash. Outstanding. It was hard to decide what to order because the entire menu sounded great, so I will definitely be going back. It's ashame I waited so long to try this spot because it's definitely a new favorite. They have everything right."

"WE had a group of six that I upped to 7 about 3 days before. They were very accommodating and our table was ready when we got there..Our server was Kelsie and she was outstanding!!!!! We ordered wine, appetizers, entrees and dessert. Everything came out freshly prepared and the correct temperature. We also kept her busy with drink orders. She was more than up to the task. Her recommendations for menu items were excellent. We all had a great time, and were finished with dinner in a super reasonable time. Highly recommend Zarlettis..... You only get one chance for a first impression and Kelsie hit it out of the ballpark and Zarlettis kept up!!"

"The food was good, service was good. I had the pasta special and it was delicious. One of our group is a very fussy eater - he had the pasta with marinara and loved it. Only complaint is that the space can't really support large groups. We had eight and were seated right by the kitchen - way too much activity going on so it was hard to hold up a conversation - waitresses right behind us getting drinks, picking up orders etc. Otherwise loved it."

Salads had fresh ingredients! The eggplant appetizer was tasty and the perfect size. Served a nice hot loaf of fresh bread too.

"We had to change our reservation, as we learned our play would interfere with the time. The maitre 'd, was kind enough to reserve a table generally held for walk-ins. We actually preferred that seating, where we had a window and could watch people walk by. Our waiter was extremely kind, knowledgeable and efficient. Our food was outstanding. We loved the shrimp appetizer special and minced lamb ravioli. The stuff calamari appetizer was very good, as was the osso bucco. The homemade limoncello as an appertif was outstanding. It is definitely a fine dining experience and we hope to return."

"We celebrated our 34th wedding anniversary at Zarletti's with our son and his wife. We wanted to have a very good dinner and to enjoy ourselves. Zarletti's did not disappoint. The table service was outstanding--just the second time in 35 years a waiter has used my name when serving the table--such service is appreciated and makes the whole evening better. We managed the 5-course by sharing antipastas, pasta, and dessert. All orders were different and tasty. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who wishes to have a very fine dining experience. We will go back. Tim S."

"My girlfriend and I dined at Zarletti on April 1st for her birthday. Everything was superb! Our server (C J), was FANTASTIC! The food was AMAZING! "We've always have wonderful food and service at Zarletti. I had the Calamari Ripieni appetizer. The squid was small and tender with plenty of crab stuffing, and the grilled bread helped soak up the wonderful sauce. It was a delicious start to my meal. My entree was the Brodetto di Pesce. It was full of seafood and it had a tasty broth and grilled bread for getting every last drop. The cheesecake was luscious way to end the meal.
My niece had the Caesar salad (she ordered it last time and loved it so much she had to have it again.) Being a vegetarian, she ordered the Raviolo Quattro Formaggi, which she loved. She couldn't leave without having the Tiramisu - it is outstanding!
We were both stuffed and each took home part of our entree."

"The all around experience at this facility was very good with a few exceptions. The food was very good in taste and presentation as well as very generous proportions. I was very unhappy with the noise level given the size of the establishment. They cram way too many tables in such a small bistro type setting. The people behind me kept bumping into my chair every time they would move in their own. My food was almost cold while my wife's was too hot to touch. I thought the prices were too high for the quality of food. The best part is that we had a great server."

"The food was excellent and the service good. The only negative was the selection of wines. They choose to use mostly Italian wines. It is hard to find a good white wine in the Italians. There was no choice for someone like me, who favors the oaky, buttery california chardonnay. Other than that, the meal was delicious and we will go again."

"Had a very nice meal at Zarletti this week. The mussels were fresh and tasty, the salads were equally fresh. We had the daily pasta specials for our entrees, which were very nice, the pasta for these were made in house. The portions of everything were more than ample. We had very good, unobtrusive service, which I very much appreciate."

"This gem always has exceptional food and excellent, well-educated, nuanced service. The kitchen's preparations are imaginative and plated artfully. Valentine's day was the occasion this time out and as usual, it did NOT disappoint.
Our waiter Alessandro offered super-informed and helpful opinions on our wine selection and knew his menu backwards & forwards. Besides being a student of his craft, he was entertaining and attentive. I never regret ANY visit to Zarletti. Brian and his staff have created a true civic asset. (Highly recommend the Pasta Salsiccia a Marsala - O M G !!!)"

"This place was awesome. I had the special Sword fish and I've never had a better sword fish in my life. Food was great, no parking near them but I think next time I would take advantage of there vallet parking. I would certainly recomend this place."

"We are frequent patrons of Zarletti's as it is one of our favorite dining spots in Milwaukee. While the Osso Buco and Butternut Squash ravioli are our 2 favorites, the specials of the night have never disappointed. The food is always outstanding, flavorful and nicely prepared and the wait staff is second to none- appropriately attentive, knowledgeable and always gracious and friendly. Be forewarned, seating is tight but that has never detracted from the overall experience."

"There was certainly "pride of ownership" evident in the food and decor. Our waiter was fantastic and well informed on all of the menu items and choices. The food was good, but could be great! The entrees were a tad too salty, the bruschetta was chilled rather than room temp and the chocolate cake was so cold that it seemed frozen. Nice restaurant with quite a bit of upside!"
