"My boyfriend and I went there for lunch on Thursday, which they have a great deal of business lunch. The quality matched the price, and the service was very friendly and sweet. Only one thing that take out the point is the time to wait for the food. I think it will be great if they could offer some bread before the food comes. Anyway, it was a good experience."

"This was an amazing find. This place is a getaway right within the city limits. The restaurant itself is a beautiful establishment. It was a quiet night a few couples out on the porch but only us in the dining room. We tried the pear salad, lentil soup and the chicken dish. The pear salad was served with a brie fondue on the side to give you a hint of creamy brie. The soup was hearty and had an interesting flavor. The chicken dish was very good. The chicken was juicy. It was served with scalloped sweet potatoes and creamed spinach. The potatoes were delicious, and unique. The creamed spinach had a better flavor than the usual creamed spinach that is served at other restaurants. The pacing of the meal was a bit slow for my taste."

"We had a wonderful time on my birthday. The dining area is very elegant and small in an intimate way, but without the sense that you must dress up to the nines; unless you wish to like I did. The food was exquisite. I highly recommend. Not a place for children which thankfully there were none."

"The menu was very limited. There was no one there but 2 tables of Ladies. Service good, food pretty good. Took awhile to get our food even though we were one of two tables there. Maybe its a lively place at night. Kind of boring for lunch."

"All four of us were completely wowed with our meal when we visited Judges' Hill. We have been there as a group of four on several occasions and have seen this restaurant move through some personality and menu changes. This was probably our best experience yet and we were sorry to hear that they are getting ready for renovations and a big menu change. We each had the field greens with the cinnamon dressing--I though it was probably one of the best salads I've ever had. One diner had the lamb meatball pasta carbonara and enjoyed it very much. I had the squab which was terrific and the accompanying gnocchi were better than some I had in Rome. Two diners had the swordfish and both thought it excellent. Deserts were great too!"

"The food was excellent! We tried the cheese tray based on a review and they were right - it is wonderful. I had the swordfish and my husband had the lamb, they were both delicious. We had the chocolate cube for dessert and were very pleased. We had a lovely time chatting with our waiter who used to live on the same street we did years ago!"

"Excellent food, perfectly prepared. Being in an historic remodel mansion gives the restaurant an interesting character that is fairly unique in Austin. Service was friendly and attentive. Parking in the garage and the walk from parking to the entrance through what felt like a back-of-house, service area was out of place compared to the elegance of the mansion itself."

The small dining room only accommodates about 25 customers, so you never have to worry about it being too loud to have a quiet conversation. Be sure to order the cheese plate appetizer that is stocked with local cheeses. One of my favorite spots."
