"We enjoyed our Sunday brunch; restaurant has a nice view of the ocean. French toast was excellent and the egg/potato plate my son got was very tasty as well. Downsides: It was noisy even on the outside patio. The heaters they had outside did not do a very good job of warming up the cool morning weather (bring a jacket if you are dining in AM). The great food outweighed the negatives."

"I would rate this restaurant a 10 out of 10. Found it online. It got a great rating on Yelp so I made a reservation through Open Table in five minutes. Fast seating at our reservation time. Drinks were delicious! Waiter was eager to please me by asking chef to change up the halibut to serve Isreali cous cous with it and it was scrumptious! The place was 1st class and the food and drinks were off the charts! Don't even think of going anywhere else. Will definitely be back next time in San Diego."

"When we made our reservation on OpenTable.com, we requested a patio table and told them we were celebrating our anniversary. Not only did we get a patio table, but it was right by the window and in the corner so it was a little more private. We also got an anniversary card signed by the owner and the chef, as well as a complimentary slice of cheesecake. The food was amazing, especially the mussels and the halibut."

"I went here for my birthday and it was amazing! Even though the menu was a little bit limited to the selection, the food that was on the menu had many different options for EVERYTHING! "We really enjoy this restaurant for breakfast. We met some friends and I was embarrassed I had suggested the restaurant. The service was very slow (really friendly but very slow.) Our coffees came out at the same time as our breakfast about 30 minutes after we ordered and 2 of the 3 meals that were supposed to be hot were cold. We were so hungry we just ate it. The other 2 meals were granola and a wrap and they were fine. I never complain but I was really disappointed."

"We chose JRDN for Easter brunch for the family and couldn't have been happier with the choice. Although we were seated inside and were initially disappointed to not be on the patio, we were right by a window. The day ended up being a bit chilly so we likely would have uncomfortable outside anyway. Everyone in our group of seven loved their dishes - Lobster BLT, Open-Faced Avocado Smash Sandwich, French Toast, Eggs Benedict, and Chicken and Biscuits with Gravy. "We had fantastic service and the view was beautiful! The way the tables are set up outside you almost have your own private sections while still begin on the patio with everyone. The food was delicious and we had a great time!"

"JRDN offers a range of dinner options including fish, seafood, chicken and beef, although the emphasis seems to be on steak. I miss the short ribs which were excellent, but had instead the mussels with chorizo which were delicious. The food is well prepared and flavorful and service is attentive. Wine list is over-priced. But the most memorable part of the experience was the ear-piercing noise which made enjoying the meal quite difficult. It would be nice if there were a quiet indoor dining area for those who want to hear one another."

"We have been to JRDN many times and have had a great experience. However, last Monday evening there was a table of 3 adults and 2 children nearby that made the experience very unpleasant. The children were crying, screaming, etc. and the adults did nothing. When we complained to our server, she kept saying they were leaving soon. Well, they didn't leave until we were at dessert and it spoiled our dinner. No effort was made to move us or acknowledge our discomfort. Ir's unfortunate because we had raved about the restaurant to our guests. Needless to say, we were embarrassed."

"We always take our out of town friends to JRDN at Tower 23. The combination of modern ambiance with great food and drinks, a terrific beach view, and local hipsters makes for a wonderful dining experience. Parking can be a hassle, but valet is offered. Our guests always marvel at how great San Diego is to have such a vibrant and cool spot right on the beach. I can't recommend this place enough."

"Very nice evening with delicious food, attentive service and nice ambiance. Selected this restaurant as a nice evening for a birthday celebration. Noted that special occasion in my opentable comment when making reservation. Surprised that the indoor tables were not fully booked and our table faced the kitchen door. Could have been a much better table. Server accidentally poured a dish of mussels over my sweater and seat. Staff was immediately attentive, grabbed the sweater and brought to house keeping where it was cleaned and delivered back to me prior to leaving with apologies. Most important to the evening was the food and wine. We ordered extensively from the menu with input from our waiter and were very pleased."

"Meghan and Sarah were really excellent servers and the service was absolutely stellar. They were helpful with the menus and courteous and considerate of our Valentine's night. They were very prompt on our drinks and made sure we had everything we needed during the whole meal.
Thank you so much for giving us the secluded patio table at the end for our reservation! It was a great view. We were very glad to have it for sunset, too, and understand how much of a difference it probably made for our evening - which was truly perfect.
The food was really good, too. My girlfriend was grateful for the vegetarian selections and I was impressed by the lobster.

"So good! Went there for brunch, got a great seat outside with an amazing view. The service was excellent and so nice! My friend and I weren't rushed at all despite there being a wait, definitely make a reservation and they will have you seated right away! The food was fantastic and overall such a relaxing and enjoyable visit."

"Been here many times which is why I chose Jrdn's to have a Sunday lunch for my son's birthday celebration 1st time I ever ate indoors though, our group was too big for the outdoor patio. Everyone really enjoyed their food, all had the burgers or veggie sandwiches but I was disappointed, had the lobster BLT that had no taste, served on bread that was too sweet plus burnt. I didn't like the indoor location because it was SO very noisy, had to shout when speaking to anyone at my table. Plus, I had made my reservation online stating "birthday celebration", but our server did not know this, had to ask for a "birthday dessert" which was disappointing. So overall good, bc food was enjoyed by most, but I was expecting outstanding... :("

"This was our first time at JRDN, but it won't be our last. We were seated outside on their heated patio by the ocean, with a bright moon and stars above, and had a fine meal. Ryan, our server, was professional and friendly and his recommendation of the mussels appetizer was spot on! What a fabulous dis, complete with chunks of chorizo. Steaks are prepared with your choice of rub and sauce and mine was done perfectly, as was my wife's fish. We had no room for dessert and will have to try some on our next visit. JRDN is a winner."

"This was our first Valentine's Day dinner at JRDN'S, but we had been here before ... our first date was at JRDN'S, so it had special significance. We've been there many times since, and we especially enjoy the great views, excellent service, and fantastic food. Our only regret is that we can't eat there more often - for Valentine's Day though our experience was even better. We'd made reservations far in advance, and were escorted into a private room with an amazing private view of the ocean, that was about 20 times quieter than the normal eating are we were used to frequenting. It really could not have been more romantic."

"This was the second time I've eaten at JRDN and it has been great both times. I love eating on the outdoor patio with the amazing view of the Pacific Ocean and Crystal Pier.
