"We arrived early for the opening of the courtyard. We were invited to join the "party" in the courtyard. However, after we sat at a table, we were late told we couldn't sit at a table in the courtyard, as they were reserved for the family. Nobody told us that before we went out to the courtyard. It was rather embarrassing.
We chose to dine at the bar and had good service at the bar."

"I had a party of eight and we went for the courtyard opening. It was a very nice event. I've been to Iozzo's many times, both for lunch and dinner. If you have a couple hours for lunch, go then. It's less crowded and their lunch options are very tasty. The portions are generous and easily split for two, though they're will charge a splitting fee. The food is great. No one in my party had complaints and we all had different entrées. Overall, it's a great restaurant and I'll never turn down an invite here."

"I have been to Iozzo's 2 or 3 times before, their food is always excellent. The only problem I had with this trip was that although the brunch tasted very good I felt like the amount of food we got for our money was a little lacking compared to other items I have ordered off the menu in the past. Next time I go back I will definitely decide to order from their regular menu."

"My husband and I brought our mothers for brunch on Mother's Day and we all walked away happy. The food and service were fabulous. We had items off the regular lunch menu as well as the special brunch menu, and everything we tried was excellent. The prices were very fair, the portions were satisfying and the restaurant itself is interesting. We will certainly go back and do recommend Iozzo's to all."

"We ordered the garlic cheese bread and calamari for appetizers. Neither of them were anything special at all. The server got the order wrong so we also got the toasted ravioli which was a step better than the other appetizers. The main courses were pretty good as we tried to share with the group(its not family style so we share a bite here a bite there). The desserts were also pretty good. The food didnt seem to have that wow factor. I have no problems spending money on quality food but it seemed to be a step or two behind other places with similar price points.
The atmosphere was very good. It was a small quaint place with a very rustic feel. The lights were placed with in decorative blown glass case enclosings."

"We had another great night of dining, choosing to sit outside in the garden patio area on a warm night. Two of us tried the fish special (Monkfish) while my wife chose the chicken piccata. All were good. From the fresh warm bread served with spiced tomatoes to the creme brulee (or spumoni ice cream) for dessert, the food was well prepared. Good service too from Jill."

"This is fourth or fifth time back to Iozzo's since it reopened a few years ago. Both the service and the quality of the food are excellent. When it's crowded, it's a typically noisy place filled with 30 and 40-somethings, mostly professionals. I wouldn't call it a 'romantic' venue if you're taking your spouse, partner, girl/boyfriend out for a special occasion; yet, Iozzo's has an attractive, "homey" dining room with old Italian family photos.
I had the chicken diavolo. The pasta and sauce that comprise the base of this dish were superb; however, I was a bit disappointed in that the chicken breast strips were bland and could have used more seasoning. But that's me."

"Had a reservation so I was seated upon arrival. Greeted promptly by server who brought water. My friends hadn't arrived yet but I was given the menu to review (no pressure to order). Jill (server) was friendly. Meal was very good (had eaten here a few times before) and we ordered a speciality coffee which was delicious after dinner. Excellent restaurant! Can't wait for warmer weather to sit in the courtyard! Restaurant was busy but dinner arrived in an appropriate length of time. Like the energy of a full busy place!"

"Iozzo's always delivers a great meal. We like to go there for a special night out. A little bit expensive for a normal weeknight but definitely worth it for a special treat. Only one word of caution, ask the price of a special before ordering it. A friend in our group got the seafood special and was rather surprised when it arrived and was more expensive than my filet mignon. All in all, a great restaurant and we will definitely be back."

"Love this place, especially when the weather is goo because they have the best courtyard! "The overall experience was very good.The atmosphere is great and the food was excellent. Not our first time there. However the service wasn't up to expectations this time. There were frequent,long periods of time where the waite staff were gone. Not ONE person on the floor, and it was easy to see them all going out for smoke breaks out back through the window to the courtyard. Looks bad and smells even worse when they come back to the table after."

"We very much enjoyed our dinner at Iozzo's (as usual). We were delighted with the number of prom groups (my dinner guests were my sister and 15 year old niece). We were thrilled with a Groupon that made this a much more affordable dinner (this is a pricey location - but well worth it). The Piedmont menu was wonderful. We will be back when the weather improves and we can dine outside!"

"Tucked away in an older part of the city that the locals know well. This place has delicious Italian cuisine with a chef that knows the regions of Italy well. We had a wonderful time trying new options and also ordering some classics. Wonderful time."

"This was our second time visiting Iozzo's. we had a great time. We like the quaintness and family-orientation of the restaurant. "My husband and I visited with two other couples--great restaurant for this size group! We started with the antipasto plate to share. Our server was knowledgeable and patient with our questions about the menu.Great selections on it, but next time we'd order two plates for six people! Three of us had the Halibut, bronzed, which was still spicy, but pleasantly tempered by our choice of polenta as opposed to other starch choices. Although halibut is a meaty fish, two of us thought the portion was small--but delicious! Our dessert choices were Lemoncello creation, a brownie with ice cream, and of course, spumoni--all excellent. We had regular coffee, which was so-so, but I love a strong coffee and I did have a second cup :)"

"Service was slow I think because we were a party of 8 and tip was added on - I'm fine with that policy but waiter was much more interested in the 3 other smaller tables than us. They all came in later and were served before us. Been a frequent customer and food is still good but not outstanding as it used to be. I don't write these normally but this is twice with food change. New cook staff or management?"

"We did a departure from our typical fare at Iozzo's and had a series of appetizers for dinner. What a delight! Our only problem was ordering too much food -- portions were definitely generous. The antipasto was excellent, with hidden gems throughout the plate. Stuffed mushrooms were moist and had a full, robust flavor. Lovely pizza, with huge hunks of sausage. Every dish would have been a great entree on its own, but we thoroughly enjoyed the diversity of the meal. As usual, Justin's service was perfection personified."

"I selected Iozzo's Garden of Italy for several reasons. 1) It's Italian. 2) They had a reservation available for Easter Sunday at my desired time. 3) I went to school with an Iozzo - John - and was curious if the Iozzo's who opened the restaurant were one and the same (they are).
Service: Was great, attentive, with one exception - apparently we were supposed to get bread (as one would expect at any Italian place) - we didn't.
Food: Chicken Parmesan - Excellent. Daughter and mom-in-law both loved it. Spag w/marinara - Good. With meatballs - better. loved the meatballs. Personal taste, could have used a bit more sauce on the pasta, but that's just me.
Service: Was great, attentive, with one exception - apparently we were supposed to get bread (as one would expect at any Italian place) - we didn't.

"I didn't like the table we get. It was hard for us to talk to each other. Every time somebody pass our table I had to move my chair. Not enough space. We made the reservation 2 days before and still get a bad table."
