"I really wasn't surprised by the superb food since I checked out the other reviews of this restaurant. If you are looking for a place with great atmosphere and attentive service this restaurant is for you. More important is the quality of the food. Although pricey I thoroughly enjoyed the SOFT SHELL CRAB . Other dishes brought to the other tables looked delicious as well. I consider myself to be fairly knowledgable when it comes to a great dining experience and take it from me-- If the menu looks a little pricey to you skip the extras, spend a few dollars more and enjoy a fantastic meal. Highly recommended!!! Thanks Sammy we Love You"

"We had a wonderful lunch at Nino's for Mother's day! All choices were delicious. Definitely try the meatball appetizer and the daily seafood special--on Sunday it was seafood over linguini in a Fra Diavolo sauce. Sam provided great service and was very attentive to our requests. Thanks!!!"

"Normally have a great experience here, but took family for Mother's day and were quite disappointed. Seafood special offered one and a half pound lobster, but actual lobster had literally 3 small bites of meat. Worst of all, we had to complain to a manager when our main course took almost an hour with only 3-4 tables filled when we got there. The food came right out - which meant it was sitting in kitchen for at least 5-10 minutes making it only about 70% as hot as it should have been. Requests were ignored as well as children's orders for soda. A mention to manager only yielded a sorry, we are having a bad day... Coffee, something? Probably will not return now."

"Definitely, my favorite restaurant in NYC! I been dining at Nino's many times with my friends, and been always treated as VIP table. The hospitality was premier, the staff- professional, friendly and very attentive to our every need.
The food is OUTSTANDING! Excellent choices on the menu and fabulous specials. From the great fresh appetizers, as the Cesar Salad made fresh table side, to the amazing main course dishes, as Loster Fradiavola over linguini pasta( one of my favorites:) )... DELICIOUS!
And, the homemade fresh desserts are to die for...so yummy!
The ambiance is great, with the amazing piano player that will make your night special!
I highly recommend it!"

"Wait staff which is usually very attentive was awful Saturday night, waited 30 minutes for bread, took to long to take order and was always looking for someone to help us. There were 2 large parties but that shouldnt be an excuse."

"We returned to Nino's since we had years ago enjoyed a wonderful dinner/ evening there, however we were sadly disappointed. The food was poor, menus vert tatty looking and many things not available as they were out of season, substitutes were poorly handled, I was told that there would be extra red beets on my salad as there are no golden beets this time of year, sad to say there was barely one single slice of beet on the plate, and no tomatoes! Staff were not gracious about our complaints or questions. Main course not very good either, veal very chewy, no vegetable, a slice of one tiny fingerling potato on the plate. Fish looked like a frozen product rather than fresh. Prices did not reflect or equal quality at all. We will not return."

"The entertainment was superb - pianist playing Sinatra and the likes. The food was amazing. The service was adequate to say the least. It was my boyfriend's birthday and I had requested a candle with dessert. The candle never came and the point was mute to mention afterwards. One of the waiters also poured a red wine into our glasses before we finished our cocktails instead of just letting it breathe in the decanter. It was a Thusday night with only a few tables full so there's no excuse not to have attentive service."

"Food mediocre. Nasty price surprise with a fish special. The same fish with different preparation was on the menu for a little more than half of what I was charged for the special. I did not ask as the special was simply grilled. Felt like a rip off. To make matters worse, the Fish was not very fresh. Cesar salad was good"

"At Nino's, you feel like a VIP as soon as you enter. The staff are very attentive and the ambiance is cordial and festive while simultaneously relaxing. Try the Caesar Salad made fresh table side and indulge in the great specials. Generous portions and everyone gets a wonderful fruit plate for dessert on the house. Great piano player rounds out an always reliable great evening."
